26 Mar 2012 - Update Highest Rated Pain Stories Highest Rated Gain Stories Vodafail Local Facebook Page
Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

18442 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Very. The life that vodafone is living is not right. The judge gave him that sentence and put him up for life. (Would you trust him and his network?) at 18 Jun 2011 04:46:20 PM
Vodafone's network is a joke. Their intenet is so slow and doesnt work 95% of the time. Yet they are still happy to eat your data with their greedy fat mouths, watching the balence of your last reacharge drool out of their fat freaking mouths. They take money out of your and my childrens mouths and use it too feed their Indian call centres in Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata and laugh as Muhammed and his wife Naji sleep in their big pile of money and data you spent while leaving you on hold for hours until you give up or your ear rots out. Vodafone don't care about me or you, they care about their secret master plans that they are yet to reveal while proiding the worst service to you and your families. For SHAME! Won't somebody please think of the children, please!

Firstly my company is with vodafail and have constant drop outs in the city & country areas or no reception. I joined vodafone 15 months ago after i did some reaserch got a acceptable deal with mobile & internet through a retail outlet. At first it seemed ok but I spend a lot of time in other areas away from my own address, big mistake.Fifteen minutes south in Windaroo its Zero reception not just drop out.I have been advised via the retail outlet to phone and complain & they (maybe able to tweak it ) really dont they know its a dead area lots of other people do.I want out with 9 months to go
21 Jun 2011 01:01:15 PM: I live in Mansfield Qld and got out of contract with them via TIO as their network went bad from around the time they partnered with 3. Then their system was hacked. Wireless broadband with any provider has sucked in Mansfield from that time. Tried their month to month contract but cancelled it after two weeks today. Should have done it 14 days ago! Told this morning in shop that network "upgrades" ie no service at all, would be happening for next 2 months. Yet these bastards keep signing people up to their non-usable plans.

Why won't the Vodafone mobile network, work for me... why? why? why wont it work... It takes my data yet nothing loads. Vodafone is robbing me, whats next? They are the worst company in the history of the world. Every time I try to make the situation better they put me through to some loser i Bombay who I can't understand and is working 3 other jobs for 3 other providers at the same time. This is an outrage and I must do something about it now before it is too late for all of us... ... Expect me vodafone I'm comin'
18 Jun 2011 07:29:13 PM: Because Vodaphone believe that they can charge and charge and charge...because you are on a contract they believe that you HAVE TO pay even when the service is poor...what they don't know is in Australia NO SERVICE NO PAY even on contract....The drama they cause and loss of income by VOdaphone makes Vodaphone Liable...

18433 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Frustratingly at 17 Jun 2011 10:55:36 PM

Here is my frustrating experience as a Vodafone customer; I use a few portable computing devices for work (2 laptops and a tablet, with Windows XP, Ubuntu and Android operating systems). These computers work fine (tested repeatedly on other networks).

Because it sounded as an interesting deal, I bought a 12 months contract with Vodafone last February for Mobile Broadband (pocket-wifi). Even at the beginning, the internet connection was not too good, but we were told that the Vodafone network was being upgraded and that this was the cause of the connection drop-outs.
Once I could not get internet access at all for 2 days. Then for a while the internet access was restricted to Skype (which points out to a DNS problem).

I have prepaid mobile phone with another mobile phone company. Calling Vodafone support for pocket-wifi is very expensive in these circumstances (it's free only if you have a Vodafone phone). My experience with the phone support was disappointing. When my internet access was restricted to Skype, I called the Vodafone helpline via Skype. I explained to the helpdesk person the situation. In particular the fact that I was calling via Skype. The suggestion of the Vodafone helpdesk was to reboot the computer! I pointed to this person that this would cut short our conversation. There was a long silence. Then I was re-asked the same id-check questions, and the connection dropped :-(

For the last month the connection drop outs have become so frequent (rarely does a connection stay on for more that a few minutes - I had to copy-paste this message), that the very unreliable connection has become almost useless. So, I have decided to stop the contract early on the grounds that the service quality has become extremely poor. On Thursday evening, I went to a Vodafone shop in Capalaba, Qld. There I told my sad story and asked to have the contract terminated.

The shop assistant claims that this cannot be done in a shop. I argued with him, that I was not willing to spend tens of dollars on prepaid mobile phone simply to have my contract terminated. He understood my frustration, and call some technical person from Vodafone. The outcome was that someone was going to call me on my mobile phone in the evening (they wanted me to be at home). They promised to call on Thursday evening 8pm or Friday evening 7pm. To maintain the tradition of customer disappointment nobody called me!
18 Jun 2011 12:05:19 PM: That sounds pretty bad but unfortunately it's not uncommon with Vodafone. You've clearly given Vodafone plenty of time and the opportunity to sort out their issues and have not followed through.

It's time for the TIO, check out the 'how to complain' page for more information. Once you lodge a complaint through the TIO, vodafone will contact you within 10 days to sort it out. Vodafone gets fined when you contact the TIO so they will get right on it.

Goodluck!

18430 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Biggest fail provider at 17 Jun 2011 08:29:50 PM
Where do i start;

Firstly, i dont get coverage in my office, 3 km from the city. I constantly get drop outs and no service to and from the city, within the 3 km radius.

Secondly, i tried to pay my bill using credit card over the phone, "We're sorry, we're experiencing technical difficulties, please hang up and try again later...." So i thought i'd try it online, same thing.... so i vented my anger on twitter. And where do you think vodafail tried to resolve my complaint? On Twitter! What the hell?

I've constantly tried to get answers to my coverage issues, but i just get automatic responses saying they're improving coverage in my area, still hasnt happened yet, at home anyway and there's no mention of near my office.

I sit on the train and see others near by with iPhone 4's, different carriers who have better service than me, or that just have service when i dont.

How do i get out of my contract?!?!
18 Jun 2011 10:46:42 AM: I've collected all of my evidence (emails etc) and told vodafail to release me from my contract.... see how we go
20 Jun 2011 11:56:18 AM: And we have a winner!!!!

"I have reviewed our coverage maps and currently the signal in the area is listed as “outdoor” coverage and the signal may not be sufficient to fully use the service indoors. While the network may be upgraded in the future, there are no specific plans at this time.

On this basis I am able to offer:

1. Reduction of your Early Termination Fee to $X for you to keep your handset.
2. Removal of your remaining commitment term upon return of your handset.

Please advise if you wish to accept either of these offers."
21 Jun 2011 12:19:23 AM: Awesome! Congratulations on getting out of your contract. Hope you can find some much better service elsewhere!

18416 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Emergency letdown at 16 Jun 2011 11:37:34 AM
Ive been with Vodafone for a very long time - and the latest incident ive had has nailed the coffin im afraid.
Shortened version by far!

Despite visiting the same areas before many times- and with older phones - my partner, 3 yr old and i visited family near the Snowy Mountains recently. Given my mum had just moved we were given directions but became turned around on a wrong road. It was almost 1am in the morning, freezing, sleeting and we had ZERO reception, not even emergency reception. I couldnt get my laptop to connect using my mobile broadband. We had to drive somewhere we could find a few bars and even then the phone disconnected ever word or two.
The next day we had other family check their reception - perfect. We made sure we use different roaming settings but they still didnt work.
Im totally sick to death of never being able to use my phone ever, even in major towns and cities - it gets used for a few sms, the occasional call (that continues to drop out)and used as an alarm occasionally. A landline can do all this but isnt mobile.

So - as soon as possible im ditching Vodafone - they suck, ive never had a response about previous problems, and i was sucked into a new contract (after not being on one for years) just to upgrade to a phone that also freezes, turns itself off, has bad reception and generally isnt the best.

Vodofone - you really owe your customers - you provide terrible service.

What if we had had a terrible car accident or some other emergency? Cant use your service anymore, too unreliable. Imagine if your bad service impacted so badly on a family that they died. Could you live with that? Im sure someone there actually would.
16 Jun 2011 11:40:22 AM: Oh - and im ditching the mobile broadband with them too - it never works.
16 Jun 2011 11:50:05 AM: Another thing - the sms messages i do get to send - arrive at their destinations days later....
16 Jun 2011 12:18:20 PM: Wow.....I feel your pain!

You, my friend, need to take this matter to the TIO as soon as possible, simply not good enough from Vodafail.

Check out the How To Complain tab at the top of the page for the TIO details.

Vodafail will have 10 working days to respond to your raised issues.

18414 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is beyond epic at 15 Jun 2011 10:50:43 PM
well i own a nokia so its not the best of phone at times, and paired with vodafone, it has become a better solution to torture than being electrocuted. Most of the time when people call me it goes right to my message bank without my phone even ringing. on the odd occasion that my phone does ring i have to run into my bathroom to maintain 2 bars of reception, everywhere else in my house which i might ad is in a suburb 5 minutes from the Brisbane CBD has no reception...1 bar if im lucky. Sending texts involves waving my phone around the air trying to lock on to to the stray piece of reception that vodagay is offering us at $50 a month. I mean what's the point of offering infinite caps if i cant even make $10 worth in calls or txts. Gladly i have resolved these issues that have countlessly driven me to such acts as, throwing my phone at a wall or punching it with my bare fists, and that is to use the good old home phone or the internet. But by far the greatest resolution to my anger and infact to life itself was the best news I have ever received in my existence on this earth was the letter from vodafone informing me that my cap runs out in 2 months. there is a god
15 Jun 2011 11:19:46 PM:
Word of caution.

The contract may end but Vodafail keep it running until you contact Vodafail and advise them you wish to terminate on the expiry/anniversary date.

You will have every offer known to man thrown at you feet in an attempt to keep you as a customer - refuse - politely.

Make sure when you do terminate to get the CSR id, incident number, date and time and most importantly that all direct debits have been cancelled. Ask for confirmation of termination by email (they will probably refuse that one) ask for a text confirming conversation.

Ensure you have a date to port your number to your new supplier.

Check your bank account over the next few months to ensure no debits have been made by Vodafail.

18412 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Reception Issue at 15 Jun 2011 06:11:50 PM
Instead of receiving the call, it is directed to voice-mail some of the time. I can be sitting at my desk when this happens, check the phone to find it has good coverage. Ring it on the land line and it is fine but my clients are being put onto voice-mail. As you all know, if a business phone is not answered, you go on the next on the list.
HOW MUCH BUSINESS HAVE I LOST DUE TO THIS ?

18404 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is 3 Customer at 14 Jun 2011 06:00:26 PM
I was a 3 customer,
Last year when I resigned I didn't know that Vodafone had taken over the service.
Maybe I didn't read it in the fine-print.
Certainly no one explained it to me in the shop where I signed up.
I never liked Vodafone and I never wanted to be a customer of theirs after troubles I had with them while traveling in the UK.
Am I now stuck with useless service, incoming calls constantly diverted to VM, no reception, poor SMS delivery and dropped calls or is there a way I can cancel my contract without incurring large exit fees.

My mobile broadband used to work fine until two or three months ago when Vodafony started to make claims for doing upgrades on their network. Their Megamodem is completely useless, and the connection speed is now slower than a dial-up 15 years ago. Stay away from this money-sucker if you can!
27 Jun 2011 11:58:22 PM: I have the same problem. Vodafail stated they upgraded my local area network (Cloverdale) and got a new modem, download spends have been cr@p ever since.

18394 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is getting poor at 13 Jun 2011 03:16:02 PM
i have been using 3.com for mobile phone service for about 6 years now and has been doing good job until recently (since early this year)i found the network coverage is getting poor. now it is hardly i can make a stable phone call inside my house as it will goes off anytime and I have to go outside the house to make phone call. This was NEVER happen before.

I was wondering the reason behind and only recently i found out that 3.com is no longer solely exist but has combined with Vodafone. I am not sure if this is the factor behind it but certainly i have had enough to this.
Cetainly i don't want to talk outside the house especially during winter night.

After couple of months of waiting after complaint to the customer service hopefully this issue can be rectified but unfortunately I can see no improvement.

So i have decided to switch to other mobile operater and i don't mind to pay extra for better network coverage.

Currently working in Mandurah, WA.
Am 3 Mobile customer but have to use Vodafone network (roaming) where I am accommodated. Data speed is *ridiculously* slow, even though the signal strength is 2-3 bars from 4.
Where I live in SYD, I have a weaker signal (3 network) but better data speeds.

I hope Vodafail doesn't rub off too much onto 3.

I was at Montezuma's at Crows Nest tonight. I checked my phone and it said that I had a missed a call from my friend. I had full 3G reception. Great you think but no. I tried to call him back but the phone seem to be taking ages to get the call out, then all of a sudden I hear 3 beeps. When I looked at the phone it said "Call failed". I tried again and still that same thing. I tried again 4 more times and still the same problem. What is going on. Full 3G reception but can't get a call out. What is this? I finally got through to my friend but it was really hard to hear and sounded like it was wanting to drop out. Lucky I have a second phone with telstra so I called him on that and had no problem. Should've used that in the first place.

Been having trouble with the network for last year now the reception at the Entrance were i live is a joke i have to go stand on my veranda and hold my phone into the air to get maybe 1 bar. So i have been hasseling customer service and VodaFAIL store at Bay village. They said that there are tower upgrades in the area happening sometime in July, July! so we have to wait a month or maybe even more for improved signal, well thats what customer care said but a VodaFAIL bay village they said there is no new towers going up in your area and there is no problem with the signal in your area. Vodafone are useless and they need to stop all this marketing and advertising and fix there problems.

18348 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is less communicative than my ex-husband during our divorce!! lol at 8 Jun 2011 01:28:24 PM
Since last Friday, my phone has pretty much stopped ringing, but I then get all these voicemail messages from people who can't get through. Calling up the VM service now only works intermittently - so I can't always even find out who's not even getting through (I'm not getting 'missed call' messages either).
Calls from my handset work only intermittently, and I'm often cut off. Only SMS seem to be going in or out, but with substantial delay. Even mobile data access is off.
The last two times I rang up to report outages in north Canberra, they would not take a report on it, and both times just repeated over and over again that there were no reported network problems in my area! This, despite the line dropping out twice - they still tell me my line is fine!! The last time I called, I had to offer the guy $20 just to stop saying it ;). [I swear, if they were trained to tell you repeatedly the sky was most certainly orange, they would do it.]
And of course now I can't even get through to their call centre to even log that there's a major problem - I can't get a single call in or out all day.
I've never broken a phone contract in my life, but in 2 days my new Optus phone arrives :))). Can't wait. [Except for the joy of getting Voda to fulfill their promise that I can leave my contract fee free - I can definitely wait for them to reneg on that, which if history is any guide, they certainly will try to.]
Solidarity & good luck fellow mobile users! At least we're not alone in this :).

18346 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Fail at 8 Jun 2011 12:33:07 PM
Have had intermittent issues for a long time in brisbane, namely calls dropping out, dialing the number and nearing nothing happen (no connection), sms messages will not send... so i will have to copy the message and send it again later, no coverage in new address in Highfields (which, admittedly their coverage map shows is low coverage), and horrible coverage throughout Toowoomba which should have decent coverage. Also have lots of issues with the mobile data. Have contacted support, and while their staff are only doing their job, the response is slow and inneffective. I have been given 3 months worth of 100% discount on my minimum spend, which is great... except that Im getting a free service that doesnt work. I have called back later and told them that I want to be released from the contract, and they have stated they need to start an investigation which will take up to 72 business hours.. which is 9 days, or nearly 2 weeks.

Any tips?
8 Jun 2011 01:06:49 PM: Oh, and also as others here have said, my voicemail. If I have a missed call, I will try to check voicemail straight away even though I have not recieved a notification that I have a message... and then days later I will receieve a text telling me I have a voicemail...! And if i miss the call because of their bad coverage, and therefore my phone doesnt register a missed call on the handset, I dont check the voicemail until i recieve the text. Really helpful.

And MMS messages which dont send... which claim sent on my phone, and then the person I sent it to recieves it days later randomly. And I dont know whether it is vodafone, or what, but people sending me MMS will often not recieve for days. My partner sent me an MMS yesterday, and I still have not recieved it. Will be amusing to see how long it takes

I live in Griffith NSW and Vodafone is the biggest joke here. At best I have 1 or 2 bars. And thats if Im in the middle of town. I live about 10 mins out and I have 1 bar at best. Slow internet and constant call dropout. The Mobile phone tower is an hour's drive away near Hay in the middle of nowhere and if i want full coverage i need to go out there and that's when the signal is strongest. The nearest Vodafail store is at Wagga (200km away). Looks like another epic fail. I was visiting Sydney last week and the signal was 3 bars at best. Hopeless!!! Get your act together Vodaphoney!! You are hopeless in reigonal NSW. The best services are Telstra, Austar or CountryMobile.

18342 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Epic misleading fail. at 7 Jun 2011 11:16:47 PM
After hearing of the well priced deal for the new Nexus S phone, I decided that it would be worth it to go back to vodafail and see if their network had improved with their deals.

The online order failed to generate a confirmation number, but the following day I received an email from Online Store Team Leader Simone Coleman to say my order had been delayed. Fair enough, cool that they let me know. A few more days passed and I called the customer support number. After being bounced around department after department, I was told I would be called back. After I had not received a call the next day, I rang back and was again bounced around seemingly forever, where I was told there had been an IT problem and that my order would be manually processed. Cool, an answer.

The next day I received a call from a customer support member saying that it would be better to post a new order now the system was working again. I did that straight away. It generated the order, all seemed well. Two days later, I got a second confirmation - the manual order had finally been given an order number, now they were trying to send 2 phones.

After calling and emailing repeatedly, I managed to get the manual order cancelled, which they did by forcing a credit check failure. A few days later (bearing in mind the expected shipping date was 1-2 business days) I received an email stating the remaining order had been delayed. No reason, just delayed. The online tracking still listed the order for 1-2 business day shipping.

I then received 2 emails, containing separate bills for $0, which indicated that the post-paid accounts, both of them, had been opened and I was being billed as of this time.

I contacted support, who explained that the remaining order would be in my hands within 5 business days, and nothing was to stop me from getting my phone. 5 Business days later, no phone. I contacted them again and was told there would be another 5 business day delay, but I would definitely be receiving my phone. Yet another 5 business days passed, I emailed support again, and 2 days later, instead of responding to my email, another automated email came through telling me my credit check (which had supposedly cleared 2 weeks prior) had been declined.

For the record, I have notified Vodafone that I would be taking these events public to help prevent more people being sucked in by misleading support staff.
8 Jun 2011 09:03:04 AM: If/when the phones arrive, you can refuse delivery at the door and I believe that constitutes non-acceptance of Vodafail's terms and conditions, ergo no contract.

Has the above happened to anyone else and what was their result?

Vodafail.com Moderation Team
9 Jun 2011 01:48:38 AM: I wasn't so much concerned about receiving 2 phones, as you said, refuse delivery of one of them, problem solved; the bouncing around and delaying, only to be let down entirely in the end is what really got me.
28 Jun 2011 05:02:40 AM: After continual avoidance by the Vodafone team to my pleas directly, here and elsewhere, I have now complained to the TIO. Let's see them avoid this.

I have 3G mobile broadband and live in an inner suburb, yet reception constantly drops out and I have to reconnect repetitively to get anything out of it. The speed starts out as it should, then over a period of a few seconds it zooms down to zero. It's quite comical how utterly useless it is. Looked at the website today to see how to unlock my sim and it says I can't do it unless I bought it from a Vodafone retail outlet. VODAFAIL!!!

I received two notifications of voicemails, each being left on separate days, that had been left FOUR days ago....these voice-mails were from my employer...I missed out on two shifts...that's $400 I missed out on because of you Vodaphone. Also, my friends and family think I'm rude because I don't return their calls or voice-mails - I received a voice-mail today from a message recorded by my brother YESTERDAY..AND my phone never rang nor even recorded receiving a call from him??! I have had Vodafone mobile internet for 3 years and since the first month. It has never worked from my property. Even Vodafone admitt that there is nocoverage where i live in an inner city Brisbane suburb. Each month i complain and each month they tell me that if do not pay the account, my phone will be barred. Last month after the 24 month contract ran out i sent them a user account for the last 24 months and they finally reimbursed me $1230. The next day i changed my accont to another carrier and now they are telling me that the girl in the shop had no right or authority to alter my account. Luckily, i had girl in store sign a refund for me and i am happy to take this all the way to court. Vodafone are a disgrace and as a matter of fact most of providers are the same!

I can be sitting in a car, outside, or anywhere, with my 2 best friends, one of whom is with Telstra, the other with Optus, and both can connect to the internet so much faster then I can. When getting on net to get directions somewhere, my friends will both have been able to enter where we are going, and have gotten the directions, before my page has fully loaded! We all have the same iphone, so that shouldn't become the issue at all. Then on top of this, vodafone will just drop out when I am on the phone, no matter where I am! So ridiculously frustrating. My phone wouldn't work in my street at all for a week, I would have to check all my emails etc whilst I was at work, as even my household internet is with them, and when I would ring customer care they tried to tell me nothing was wrong with the service in my area! As soon as contract is up I am heading to Telstra.

18296 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Terrible reception at 5 Jun 2011 01:11:38 AM
Just signed up this afternoon and found this website. D**n it. Currently sitting in Mawson Lakes and using both Optus and Vodafail. Can see the clear differences. My optus Nokia mobile always shows 3-4 out of 4 bars. nearly perfect. This device is a year old FYI. My brand new bling bling Nexus S on Vodafail normally shows 0-1 bar out of 4. What the heck is wrong is Vodafail. The dealer showed me the coverage map and told me that it is working fine and added he has a friend up in Mawson Lakes on Vodafail. Wanna terminate the contract.

My fellow UniSA engineering students... Voda is nothing but failure!
8 Jun 2011 01:39:05 PM: Go back and terminate the contract. Just do it, immediately. I switched to Voda 8 months ago, and it's just been pure hell. You *have the right* to a working mobile phone. Voda are clearly in trouble with the Trade Practices Act, and you have the right to expect reasonable coverage so that your phone can operate.
Now that you know what you do, go back & get out of this straight away. And INSIST on no fees or charges. Others have got that - eventually, if their cases are good. And no coverage in your area at all - that's a good case. [If you want to improve your chances, call Voda first & get through to their technical team and report a reception problem in your suburb. That way there's at least 1 report, which may help later on with avoiding fees. In my experience, few people actually report poor reception in a suburb, they just whinge about it & cop penalty fees.]
RUN!!

18295 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is EXORBITANT at 4 Jun 2011 11:07:00 PM
Until recently, I have had 2 years of relatively happy iPhone 3GS use on Vodafone's 3G network; As I am now finding, the seemingly unavoidable delayed voice messages, mysterious missing text(s) delivered hours/days later, poor signal in apparently well-covered areas (as demonstrated in Vodafone's 3G signal coverage literature availabe at their high street shops), and painfully slow internet/data connection speeds were not isolated to "just poor old me".

BUT recent pains are far greater, and have increased significantly with this emerging issue of "BATERY LIFE". My iPhone 3GS started to fail miserably, apps were crashing, restarting, freezing etc and Google Maps was pathetic. So i took the phone to Apple, they checked it out and althogh they couldn't find the source of the errors, they replaced it for $250.00. Generous enough, I thought.

Thinking the problem could lie at the hands of my service provider, I apprached Vodafone and talked with a customer service rep in a City branch store. He checked and apparently I had an "old" SIM card, the same one I had when taking out my original contract some 3+ years previous. Advised by this representatove of Vodafone, I took my new SIM and restarted my iPhone with marginal improvement.

Then I went on holiday for 6 weeks to the UK whereby my iPhone sat dormant apart as a phone, instead provoding my entertainment on train journeys as a games machine (Tiger Woods golf) and functinooing as my music device.

So 6 weeks later I return to Aus and connect back to Vodafone's network. And to my surprise, my battery was dead in 2.5 - 3 hours. Every day. With no apps functioning. And if I used apps such as mapping or GPS, or dared to enter conversation with fellow mobile phone users, the battery life would visibly tick diwn under observation.

Anticipating the end was nigh for my "new" 3GS, and not wanting to go to Apple for another $250 replacement which may go the same way, I went to Vodafone and upgraded my contract (FREE as I'd reached 21 months) and opted for a HTC Desire HD. Now the battery life on this thing is SHOCKING. But I wonder how much this is to do with teh service provider as my iPhone (now simply an iPod and games machine) battery now lasts up to 9 days on standby which includes iPod use. Now this is shocking - no SIM - 9 days; with SIM (no apps or usage) 3 hours. SOmething is definiitely wrong here. now the HTC deviceis an interesting one too; Friends of mine have the same phone without the battery life problems. And no-one else I know with iPhone 3GS OR iPhone 4 has the battery life issues i have observed and documented.

Is there a problem related to the service provider's SIM card and battery life? Has anyone found this in their area? My evidence is absolutely clear and unequivocal (9 days versus 3 hours) and I guess I wuold like to know more about it.. Any suggestions??
5 Jun 2011 06:11:40 PM: Do you live in a poor 3g coverage area? If your spending a lot of time in a poor coverage area your phone may be constantly searching for a better signal, changing base stations and switching between 3g and 2g, as it struggles to maintain a good signal whilst prioritising 3g.
11 Jun 2011 05:32:54 PM: OMG I have the exact same problem with battery life. I have samsung galaxy S and my battery only last a few hours with no applications open. If i make a phone call it will prob last 2,3hrs. I have to charge everyday. SO BAD. I originally thought there was somefin wrong with my phone. But looks like its a voda prob.

18280 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Epic at 3 Jun 2011 09:47:11 PM
I have been experiencing drop-outs mid phone calls, delays in sending and receiving texts, my reception totally disappearing for several minutes only to come back for a second and disappear again, connection error messages when trying to make calls when my reception bars are showing I have some reception, and my battery dying after only a few hours for several months now. I went into a Vodafone store and was given a new SIM card and told this would fix the problem. It didn't. I went into a Vodafone store again and spoke to someone at Customer Service when I asked to terminate my contract. The person on the phone told me I didn't need to terminate my contract and that he had a solutiong for me. He passed me on to a technician who changed my Network Settings in my phone. This made my reception issues WORSE! I have since contacted the TIO and within 15 minutes they emailed me saying they had forwarded my complaint on to Vodafone. It has now been over 72 hours since I contacted the TIO and I haven't heard a single thing from Vodafone. I just want out of my contract, and to be with a provider who can give me reception and a phone that works! :(
3 Jun 2011 10:28:33 PM: Do not worry.....you will definitely get a response from Vodafail in 10 business days - if not go back to the TIO with your original reference number - Vodafail get 'fined'more $ for not responding.

It is in their (telcos) best interest ($) to get matters resolved as soon as possible.

6 Jun 2011 08:08:47 AM: Vodafail, as a rule only, usually leave the complaint until day 9 or 10.

18276 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Appalling! at 3 Jun 2011 07:31:36 PM
I have just received the "Building a better, faster, stronger network" from vodafone.

It was not explained to me at the time I purchased my iphone and contract that vodafone actually operated a very poor network that needed so much upgrading. In fact the coverage maps that were shown to indicated that the network's performance was competitive.

So its actually frustrating to receive these emails from vodafone in which they pat themselves on the back regarding the great job they are doing to fix up the shoddy mess that they created in the first place. I am not going to congratulate them for doing what should never have needed to be done in the first place.

Based on vodafone's own figures, its taken them at least 5 months to upgrade 530 sites. They also say 550 "new" sites are now operating on 850MHz. How many of these "new" 850MHz sites are one of the 530 sites that have been upgraded? To reach their target of 2500 sites by December, conservatively they will need to upgrade 1650 sites in under 6 months. In other words, based on their current rate of progress, they are not going fast enough and they are not going to achieve their target.

Ridiculous! I deleted my last email from them. Did anyone keep theirs? I suspect after all the hype, they are not making much progress. I am going to keep this one so I can compare their rate of progress over the coming months.

18244 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Robina Reception at 2 Jun 2011 08:01:53 AM
WTF is the point of vodafone having a blog on there website when they just ignore questions in regards towers and reception issues in Robina. Twice I asked an yet no answer. Just recently they shut down my business numbers due to insult to the Australian public by using poor Mumbai staff who have very basic english skills. my business was offline for 17 hours. Vodafone is on my hate list which includes murderers, terrorist welcome aboard Vodafone. The only reason I haven't left them yet is because I know my business would be offline longer then 17 hours, because lets be truthful, they don't care. Why doesn't the CEO of Vodafone just realize he has no ability to run Vodafone anymore. Nothing has really changed reception, data, voice all crap. Why have Vodafone Blogs, Facebook, when it seems they can only answer simply request like how to turn on your mobile phone. There weekly Network updates do not provide accurate information. I have personally proven that on two occasions. The Gold Coast have suffered long enough with Vodafone's crappy service, they claim they updated towers around the Coast but still within the suburbs I still suffer with only 0-2 bars reception on two mobiles. Maybe they use field mice to generate minimal amount of power to run these towers. For a global company one is got to ask why do they act and perform with the education of Homer Simpson. For all of the millons of dollars the Australian public has injected into Vodafone all we get is a dear John letter from Nigel saying sorry we screwed up. If we can all think back when Vodafone blamed a software update on there Network problems in the begining, and then stating they sat on there hands while the Network was getting full, but yet all those millons of dollars weren't used to extend there network. One can only think that it was used as a marketing tool to put the brand name on everything they can think of in sports, so is Vodafone a Telco or is it an advertising company that just took us Australian's as fools to fuel there greed to take over the world with there symbol. Kind of reminds me of Hitler and the red Nazi symbol. mmmmmmmmmm?????
5 Jun 2011 12:16:31 AM: all i can say is the network was ok till the days when we talk to customer service in another country, to foreign people who cant speak english and most of the time do not understand what we are saying, we should employ aussies that can talk our lingo and understand what problems we are having and not give us a feeling that we are 4th class citizens with a 5th class network, CEO VODAFONE ARE YOU STUPID ?. i am vodagoing when the vodaCONtract is finished. I now see THREE STORES replaced with VODAFOONE in most WESTFIELD SHOPPING CENTRE COMPLEXES. I HOPE VO-DOH-DOH-FAIL will one day see that, we the customers are always right and will go elsewhere and will never comeback.
8 Jun 2011 11:11:40 PM: why does vodafone have such a problem understanding that we ARE NOT HAPPY with the network, it was reliable up to around 20 months ago and then the reception/internet/dropouts/no coverage in places where there was and has not ever come back with coverage in the same area. we have better things other than complain, SO LISTEN TO US NIGEL. NOT HAPPY NIGEL

We live in Lismore NSW, the major city on the Far North Coast. Our house is fifty mts from a major through road but because we are below the hill line on the north/north east ridges of the city our recepion is extremely poor. We can only receive an intermittent reception if we stand out on one part of our balcony. We have three vodafone phones in the family, one being our 16 yr old son, who lives through his phone, and pretty well have no coverage to speak of. I am sure many other vodafone users would have the same issue as a major part of Lismore is built on this side of the hill.

I have 2 iPhone 4's with vodafone and when I am with my partner at his house the reception is fine but I have trouble connecting to the internet and even though we have wifi the phone keeps dropping off the wifi connection even though the laptop has wifi still. Before i joined vodafone I checked to make sure that I could get reception in my area as sometimes we have trouble with other companies. I checked and it said it was perfect reception with a big smiley face so we willingly joined . Then i get back to my house and I have nothing but call failed over and over again when I can finally make a call It goes distorted and then drops out again. I rang to complain to vodafone and the call centre operator was even getting annoyed with my poor line and the phone cutting out and them having to call me back over and over again. Other family members of mine are with the 3 network which shares the same towers as vodafone and as wel all know they are not linked. My sister can change from 3 to vodafone with out having to cancel her contract but when I asked if i could go from vodafone to 3 I was told it was not possible and i would have to pay out my contract and sign up with 3. I did not want to do that because I dont see why I should pay for something that I can not use. I have asked them for a reduced plan and told them I was not paying extra for the phone as I was lied to and told that I could use vodafone freely and they told me it was not possible. I asked if they could reduce my bill for this month as I have not been able to make calls and 8 out of 10 messages fail and i end up deleting them and not bothered to send a message at all and they still rejected that as well. I feel that if something does not happen soon and vodafone can not come to the party and start looking after a customer better than what they are then I will be forced to contact the telecommunication ombudsmen and see if they can take this further as my attempts to talk to a manager with in complaints is never followed through.
I dont understand if you are one day late paying your bill they cut your service but they can not provide a service for them to bill you on!

My wife and I signed up for a vodafone accopunt last year on the pretext of free vodafone to vodafone calls. Tell you what, most of the time, I can't get through to my wife because the message says that her phone is off. But that's not true, because her phone is never off and she never got any calls. I would say I could get through about 50% of the time. Moreover, I can never get service to surf the net on my phone. Might as well stay in the office and get T1 broadband. Absolute vodafail. Good sales people in the shops, lousy call centre, worst network.

Wife and I been with this ridiculous telco for 21 months - counting down the last 3 months to go to the only usable network in Australia. Just called India to try to get out of the contract. "I am so sorry for the inconvenience..." "stop", I said. "Listen - one purpose of call - can we get out now". Transfer to a specialist... checked network coverage in our area - it's perfect, of course - stupid me. In the end... nope, must wait to end of conttract.

18218 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Disgusting on a scale of 1 to 10 - VODAFAIL is a scale of 1000 HIROSHIMA BOMBS at 31 May 2011 04:06:57 PM
I have been with VODAFAIL for 2 years because I was in a contract. Always paid my bills on time. Then after I paid my November 2011 bill of $129.89, the December bill appeared with outstanding amount of $129.89 + December normal charge. I disputed the amount, rang them, went on merry go around for it seems like forever, got transferred from department to department and having to give my details AGAIN AND AGAIN, at the end I was told to go to VHA store with my prove of payment.

So I went to the store and spoke with a lady who tried to sort out my issue (again over the phone with VHA 'international' call center.
She said the issue will be resolved in the next 24 hours, if there's any issue they'd contact me. They NEVER DID.... until the bill of January arrive with the same outstanding amount. So I keep complaining every single month and was promised the same thing EVERY SINGLE F*CKING MONTH.

And I started getting phone calls about the outstanding amount and got harassed and was asked to pay. EVERY TIME, I have to explain the situation to them AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Then my phone got barred in MAY. (yes this thing goes on for ages) I rang them, and after waiting for 30 minutes all they said (with Indian accent) was.. well, we cannot allocate your payment and if you're not going to pay for it now I cannot un-bar your phone... you freaking kidding me right?? I gave my prove of payment to you like every single time I called, every single time I visited the store, every single f*cking month.

I got so angry with the phone calls asking me to pay, no receptions, poor 3G signal, trying to complain but going no where, and now my PHONE IS NOT WORKING because VODAFAIL BARRED IT. Better yet, they treated me like a non-paying customer and it is a disgrace!!!

I ended up lodging a formal complaint to TIO yesterday. So we see how it goes.

In a nut shell, VODAFAIL has FAILED miserably in servicing their customer, their call centre is a TOTAL JOKE, and their staff is soooo inadequate to handle problems. Now their networks is getting worse and worse everytime with signal dropping in and out, it's ridiculous.

18211 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Absolutely Pathetic at 31 May 2011 01:04:58 PM
No 3G service in Robina, this is absolutely pathetic, doing a SendOutCards presentation to a couple of very important prospects, how embarrassing for Vodafone, one of my prospects saved the day pulling out an oversized Telstra NextG USB stick, back up and running. He said he wouldn't use Vodafone even if they paid him, it's the most pathetic network of them all.
1 Jun 2011 03:53:54 AM: posted yesterday service was restored around 5:45pm - about 5 hours later. Why was there a need to remove that post? People visiting the website deserve to know the truth rather than reading about network issues and outages and nothing about when service was restored. My Vodafone 3G's been working fine ever since, although I'm curious as to what caused the outage, especially considering I've been getting a solid 3-4 bars of coverage, now I'm getting a solid 2 bars of signal, occasionally dropping back briefly to a single bar. Had a big angry rant to Vodafone customer support yesterday, after waiting 6 minutes, first call got me nowhere, talking to some indian sounding person, second call I gave up after 10 min and waited until later before calling back and demanded to speak with a supervisor. Is their entire customer service center located in India or something? I basically pointed out to the supervisor that I would like a credit of some kind against my bill as a good-will gesture, she said she's not able to do that, I pointed out that I'm not a happy chappy and that I was angry as hell not having service for the best part of an entire afternoon, that I am a global networker, network marketer, have over 17'000 fans on my FB fan page (and gave her the FB page address), and unless I got some kind of credit against my account, I would do everything in my power to defame the company on the internet left right and center, my Facebook page being just the tip of the iceberg, with automated blog posts and such. I was put on hold for about two minutes, she said the best they can do is give a $60 credit against my account, and 4Gb has been added to my account.

Being Mr. Nice guy gets you nowhere. You have to push and shove hard and lay the cards on the table to get results.

As discussed credit of $60 has been applied to your account. The new amount on the invoice number:10600824** is $71.45
Regards,
Vodafone.

As discussed additiond 4GB of data has been added to your account today.

1 Jun 2011 03:58:39 AM: what time did service get restored to normal over in Surfers? Here at Robina it was back up around 5:45pm - posted same yesterday but the post was removed. Just curious, seems the outage wasn't a single base station or something but a wider issue. My daughter was over with a friend over at Bundall, she wasn't able to access Vodafone 3G for the best part of the afternoon either. An associate of mine living at Palm Beach said he had no problems in that area, reckons 3G was working "as usual"...

Repeatedly told "I have escalated your problem", have been promised phone calls from their "network services team" and when they rang..." Sorry the deparment I need assistance from is closed, if only you had notified us 15 minutes earlier...." , I suppose the 6 days of repeated notification priot did not count?

So today on day nine after allegedly being "escalated again", today I asked if GOD was know dealing with the problem. the Response..."I am sure our resolutions team will resolve the issue to your satisfaction" They have sooo many alleged teams, except for one that actually works to fix problems.... so Today the problem was filed with the TIO.

Apart from the continual 'no network' signal in my inner city area of Sydney (infrequent to no reception right in Darlinghurst Sydney if you can believe that ) continual dropouts and inability to use 3G along with late SMS messages, the piece that ticks me off is that Lara never seems to work efficiently and customer service, whilst continually repeating the company polished standard apology for every bloody thing yet not concerned one bit since earning rupees are all they are there for etc etc apart from all that I had my phone service barred THREE times in succession in one week on the back of SMS messages warning this simply because of an unusual spike in phone usage - due to two week overseas work trip where I had to use the phone. All owed monies are debited from my business account. It is a business phone and I have been with voda for 14 years yet as a CEO of a company I had to call and wait for customer care to refer the matter on to the technical dept for reconnection only to be disconnected again - three times around the merry go round I went. And does the Bangalore brigade really care? I think not since negotiating the complicated construct of Lara and getting to the right people makes me believe that every mental effort of the powers to be at VF is being suborned to device a customer call number guaranteeing a high attrition rate amongst callers out of pure frustration.
I really just want to know how I can get out of the current plan if at all possible because of poor service in every way.
31 May 2011 05:57:58 AM: You have tried to resolve the issue and have appeared to be unsuccessful, the next step is the TIO, takes about 10 minutes max to complete their on line form.

Stupidly i also bought a Vodafail mobile broadband modem and credit. After many angry phone calls, emails and tweets ( all of which they replied with their stock standard bullshit - it must be your fault ) I switched to Telstra, perfect fucking reception everywhere everytime.

I sent a tweet to Vodafail telling them that i had fixed my problem by switching to Telstra and they replied that they were very happy that i resolved the issue. WTF

18194 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Poor Reception 3G at 30 May 2011 06:42:55 PM
Having arrived from UK 12 months ago my partner and I set about obtaining a Mobile Phone Contract and both chose Vodafone. We both took up the 24 month iphone 3GS contract with 1GB data on a $79 cap plan + $10 insurance. Everything was relatively fine at our address in metro Adelaide. It was a weak 3G signal but a signal nonetheless. However a change of employment for us meant a house move to Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills, about 40-50km from Adelaide. I have now found I have only an extremely slow Edge signal for data and an intermittent phone signal.
Since moving home three days ago, I have had 7 calls drop out mid call. Other problems have been that I can hear the caller but they cannot hear me. This is not a handset problem because if I drive back to Adelaide it's fine again. It's all very frustrating.
I spoke to Vodafone Customer Service who told me that the 3GS was not compatible in Mount Barker and that I would need to upgrade to an iPhone 4 at a cost of an extra $20 p/m + $384 final payment at the end of the contract for the cost of the new phone. Something to do with frequency on the 3GS.
I enquired about cancellation fees and they pretty much came back with a figure similar to what was remaining on my contract so I would have to be extremely foolish to pay that.
So seemingly I am now stuck with a contract with 1GB data I cannot access, and a 2G phone signal with intermittent call drop outs, at a total cost of $79 p/m until April 2012.
I have checked with the other networks like Optus and Telstra and they can guarantee a 3G signal.
I really wished I hadn't signed up to Vodafone, what seemed like a saving at the time, a $79 cap was very enticing, has now turned into a costly error.
I checked the Vodafone planned upgrades of the network and Mount Barker is not listed.

NOT HAPPY!!

My phone seems to fluctuate between barely there reception coverage to "Searching" and then there's the "No Network" message where the little bars ought to be.
Having a Smart Phone, the ability to access a data network has become increasingly necassary with the syncing of emails, etc and yet when the coverage is switched to "Roaming", often in the CBD or close surrounds of Brisban and Sydney, I am charged more for something I would consider a standard, not a privilege.
Representatives informed me that it's the fault of the phone, not the network yet this was never mentioned AT ALL when I renewed my contract over 12 months ago.
Besides, should they not be keeping up with the changing requirements of the industry and their customers, not belitlling us and telling us nothing can be done?!
I am now undertaking measures to get myself out of my contract which has several months left but one more week with these guys is far too long!

okay.. I am an international student from Asia. I came to Brisbane just before the flooding happened so thankly I managed to get a VODAFAIL (at that time I didn't know) prepaid SIM card and a phone... but for some reason, I could not activate my SIM through online activation system... then flooding happened and I had to evacuate... I was desperate to contact my parents to say that I am okay but this stupid activation system did not work by either internet or phone. I actually had to wait for another week to visit the Voda store to activate my SIM. The story does not end here. I live in Brisbane CBD but I've been constantly getting call drop outs, delayed messages, no reception, etc etc... Since, I am a prepaid customer, I didn't want to waste my time arguing with Vodafail so I just bought Optus phone..but seriously, this kinda sh$$ doesn't even happen in my original country. I mean how the heck the company like Vodafone is still doing the business and Australian legal system or watever is not enforcing any restrictions?? my girlfriend is using a Vodafone as well and once, she was billed $600. At that time, she and I just thought she used hell alot of calls but I will definitely tell her about all the stories told by many customers on this site... cheers

The CEO needs to be sacked and the Australia Gov to ban this company (Vodafone Hutchison) from ever doing business here again.

18163 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Vodapennytel fail at 27 May 2011 06:58:04 PM
Please put Pennytel ('PT') on the no go alternatives.

I am posting here due to the lack of communication received from Pennytel (a carrier that now uses the Vodafone network) to let off some steam.

Story is this: Optus recently dumped Pennytel as their official carrier, Pennytel has now requested its users to switch to their new Vodafone plans. They promised delivery of the replacement sims on 2 May. They promised, "2 working days".

This concerns the late delivery of my replacement Pennytel simcard and Pennytel's poor communication and service. This has to be the worst combination. Penntel (incompetence) combined with Vodafone (uber incompetence).

I am very upset with PT's tardy service. My phone has been disconnected since 13th May. Probably due to the port to Vodaphone initiated by PT. I was advised on 2 May that replacement Pennysims would be shipped within 2 working days. It is now 27th May. That is 25 days. Still no sign of a pennysim in the mail. Methods to contact me on the phone were gone for days since 13th May. The only remedy was to purchase an emergency simcard.

This is a pain, as it isn't my usual number. This problem is exacerbated by having a very ill grandparent who has me on call.

One thing that upsets me further is me having contacted Pennytel almost a dozen times between 2-20 May. Every single e-mail I sent was received and I got the auto reply:

"24-48 hours and we'll contact you" along those lines.

This didn't happen. Only until 4 days ago have I received reponse.

Almost 21 days later from 2 May, I receive an e-mail: "Case priority: Low. Please send us your address to confirm shipping".

So I did. But why do I need to confirm my address? I've ordered products and sim cards in the past. They shipped to the shipping address as specified in my profile. Also, if they needed me to confirm my address, why didn't they send this e-mail ages ago?

In addition, they setup this system on their website to streamline the switching to Vodafone plans. You simply log into your account and click on the voda plan you wanted to go into. The claim, "We'll do the rest". So this e-mail 20 days later to ask me to confirm my address? Utter bull shit.

I have never been so upset with the customer service of a company before.

In addition, since the beginning of receiving the Optus cancellation announcement to the Vodafone switch (Was known since Mid-April)I have sent various e-mails with simple inquiries concerning the new plans and so forth. I just wanted clarification on what I was getting into. Is that too much for a customer to ask questions on things he isn't 100% on? Well, objectively I think that's quite fair. Well, Pennytel hasn't responded to any of those either.

Really, I just want my micro-sim delivered so I can get on with daily business. I have ill relatives that need to contact me in emergencies. I have customers that need to contact me. The fact that I have had to go out of my way to purchase an emergency sim is already too much.

Overall, the lack of communication, the loss of business and the overall frustration and suffering I have endured has led me to elevate this to the TIO and ACCC.

I hope that Pennytel can quickly resolve this so I can just get on with normal life.

Pain in the ass.

I was told EXACTLY the same thing when I went into a Vodafone store and was put on the phone to someone in India and then put through to the technical department. I signed up in Melbourne and moved to Adelaide in the last few weeks. I am extremely disppointed with the data service in both locations and would like to get out of it. The service is practically unusable. Sometimes the Pocket WiFi just drops internet altogether and just goes to a 'local' network only, as if I had one. At other times perfectly sensible web pages give a Windows error screen as if the connection has dropped. Go back and try again and it goes onto the page. At other times the pages take forever to load and I just give up after a few minutes. This isn't how it should be. And after many years of sending and receiving emails from various phones, I can receive emails but have tried everything but cannot send from my Nokia E71. Just can't fathom it. Would love to go onto something better. The service is so bad I don't know how I managed to rack up an extra AU$65 in data charges in the first month in a 1GB package. I wish they had warned me. Luckily this month it is only AU$16 extra with 6 days to go. Not a word from them - a vary convoluted logging in process to find this out.

18138 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Mobile internet capacity at 26 May 2011 02:59:53 PM
I have a Vodafone post paid internet service, <<PERSONAL DETAILS REMOVED>> which I usually use in my apartment located in Rockdale NSW 2216. My SIM is plugged into a Huawei K3765 device as the K4505 they sent me recently gave me more of the problems outlined below. I can connect on the internet at odd, off peak times such as 2:00-6:00 AM but on many days from about 6:30 AM, there appears to be poor connectivity. If I reboot my computer, the Vodafone Mobile Connect software shows that my device has reception on the 3G network and then the GPRS network and sometimes USPDA. When this occurs, it is very hard to connect to Vodafone and surf the internet. I have called Vodafone to ask them to upgrade capacity on their network because their staff say that I am in a strong coverage area. On my contract I have until March 2012 but Vodafone will not release me from the contract early. Their staff just keep saying it is my computer's settings or the devices settings, but I have recently reinstalled Windows and used a stock standard "optimised" install of their software. Very disatisfied. Shame on you Vodafone!

You have tried to resolve the issue and have appeared to be unsuccessful, the next step is the TIO, takes about 10 minutes max to complete their on line form.

The TIO details found on the How To Complain tab at the top of the page.

I left Vodafone in February due to ongoing coverage issues and am still trying to get the remaining balance refunded to me. I am sick of calling their Mumbai call centre to sort this out. Considering legal action, so over Vodafone!

18128 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Exponentially failed at 25 May 2011 05:23:16 PM
I have a vodafone post paid and wireless accounts. I am so disgruntled by their service and their network that I am planning to start a video and post it on u tube to account for:
1. The number of times I get "No Service" (18 times yesterday - in Sydney CBD!)
2. When calls "fail" or "drop off" (does anyone get a connection around QVB or George St)
3. When the internet connection fails. (It never seems to work and Vodafone consistently charge us for it)

I have been on the phone with the company a number of times since October, making a complaint, with no support. And when I go to their stores, the sales agents actually ask me to drop their plan and go with Telstra!

Its typical of a hutch culture - get a stake in a company and run it to the ground and sell it off. Voda shame!

18124 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Broadband dropping out at 25 May 2011 01:03:00 PM
I have internet broadband which is not very good coverage to start with (2 bars only), and I now have a problem with the coverage just dropping out about 2 minutes evry time I turn it on. and then I can't easily call them to fix it because they are only available business hours (I'm not always available business hours).

18123 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is very muchly at 25 May 2011 11:54:28 AM
After months of poor network coverage and signal loss whilst working in Perths CBD I have spent endless hours on hold with no results at all. I had been into stores and the sales staff said they are unable to help and they even reccommended trying a different phone carrier. I think it's time for legal action against such a uncompitant company.
