Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

I just joined the network 4 or 5 weeks ago. My god if only I had known, but no one told me. When I went back in the store to complain about the poor performance (having switched from telstra) they told me that with telstra you pay for the service. So why am i paying $70 a month for with vodafone ?) She changed my sim card, but the problem is still there, i have an appalling reception inside my house, and i live in an inner city suburb near Perth. I seriously regret my decision to sign with vodafone, which was purely based on the fact that i heard that it was a great network and I relied on the coverage map on the website which is an absolute LIE. I wish i could get out of this contract and go back to telstra !

My mobile does not know what YouTube is, thanks to Vodafone!! My internet allowance is 3 GB per month, which is "massive gig" to most of us. But wait, I am using less than 250 MB out of 3 GB - so poor is Vodafone network, it takes ages to download even the most plain of webpages with just text on them. I tried calling them thrice, but on an average I have waited 45 min, tragedy is I still did not manage to speak to their Customer Center. VODAFONE, PLEASE STOP TAKING NEW CUSTOMERS AND PLEASE DONT COME OUT WITH UNLIMITED OR MASSIVE USAGE PLANS, YOU SIMPLY DONT HAVE THE REQUIRED INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THAT.

Sat 11th Dec - Perth CBD - 1130 to 1930 that night phone says full service yet when people called us the call disconnected, no calls in no calls out. A week later only after complaining online get this "response"/"excuse" i QUOTE: "Whilst issues such as this are rare, please note the network is not entirely free from interruption and we are unfortunately not able to guarantee that service will be available at all times. " PATHETIC vodafone

I have been a Loyal customer of vodafone for last 6 years . Paying $1200 each year but what do i get in return ? Poor reception and dropped calls . Cant stand any more. I do not have any reception inside my house and i have to go out to receive a call or make a phone call. Seriously Vodafone pull up your socks and put more network tower or i am going with telstra.

There was no coverage, both voice and data for the whole day on Saturday. It took 25min to get to a "consultant" to tell us that. There was NO status on their site and they could easily put a voice recorded message when you call for "help"

I acquired a mobile phone on a $29 a month plan about a year ago. I was paying insurance as well. At sometime in April the phone stopped working altogether. I could not get it up at all. Tried recharging but nothing would happen as I continually pressed the on button. I was continuing to receive invoices for a service I was not getting. I later left my phone with my belongings in a temporary storage facility and then went missing. They are now demanding full payment of the contract which has been terminated

Have been with vodafone for 3yrs. All was good but slowly, call centers moved to India meaning a simple 5min issues before took 20-40min. Now since Saturday I can barely make a phone call and when I do, it disconnects within 2mins. Yet my 3G works fine? How can I run a business like this and how can their's continue without serious ramifications from the ACCC? Shows what they're good for!!!

Perhaps you should do some research into the other telcos...
Telstra are always having outages, Optus have had 3 MAJOR network outages (meaning completely no service at all) in the last 12 months in one state alone!
I'll stick with Vodafone thanks...a world leader and the only truly genuine mobile telco in Australia.

I'm not in a mess...I'm a happy Vodafone customer of over 10 years and have ALWAYS been happy with the service.

Have been with VF for over 5 years, never had an issue until the 22nd of November - no reception on the phone, poor when outdoors, none when inside. Spent 4 HOURS on hold and FINALLY got thru, told that the issue was my SIM card. Went to a VF shop and had it changed, made it WORSE. Still having HUGE problems with my phone, to which I've been told it's the handset - how is that possible when I've tried my old handset and that has the same issues? I would LOVE to opt-out of my plan after having so many issues over the last 3 weeks, but I'll be stung with a massive contract pay-out fee :(

I'm on a special Blackberry contract with Vodafone. However, as of yesterday, my SIM doesn't work on my Blackberry phone at all. I thought it was just me (a reception or bill problem). But when my sister, who uses Blackberry and is on Vodafone too had the same problems, I knew something was wrong. So I took the SIM card out and put it into another non-Blackberry phone, LG, and it worked. Called 1555, but no one answered. Hung up after waiting 58 minutes and 29 seconds. I'm paying a Blackberry contract, but I'm using a LG phone now.

After 17 years with these guys when there service wasn't that bad,now I worry every time I make or receive calls as 70% of the time is call failed, just hangs or drops out in middle of call, it's not fixed by a long shot, switched my wires to telstra and hasn't had a problem, I hate resorts but what chide when Vodafail , optus use the same towers and technologies

wrong information provided even before i signed on the contract. Wrong information again when i went to a different store. Called up to complain, and got a call back less than an hour with a real australian woman who was rude and not the least bit helpful anyway, after talking to someone in India, on hold for 30 minutes in total only to wait for a call back. Saving grace was a very polite gentleman from another store that listened to me and checked up his computer to give me what i wanted straight away, no hassles, no unnecessary documents etc etc... why did i spend all this effort? because vodafone is the only one with the blackberry i want on the plan that suits me. just because you have the monopoly doesn't mean you can be rude and ignorant to the customer. Customer service is crap, network service is below average, bills are unclear and myvodafail account on website is next to useless, vague and unclear.

I am in inner southern suberb in Perth. Terrible network on Vodafone. My wife is on three and that works fine. Can't believe vodafone is this bad! I was with three till last few months and shifted to Vodafone for the handset I liked which was no on three. Now I am so frustrated about the network, the phone keeps going to SOS. Constant drop outs during calls...never able to load web pages on iphone...pathetic coverage. This has been going on for at least 6 months. I contacted the TIO and Vodafone were forced to let me out of my contract. I hope Vodafone loses a huge amount of customers as they continue to suck people onto their network with cheap plans that don't perform how they are meant to. They deserve to be investigated by the ACCC. They obviously don't mind signing on more customers but are reluctant to spend real money on their network. Have both mobile and mobile broadband - in short, not impressed. As a self-employed consultant, my mobile and broadband are critical to getting my work done. With hardly any coverage in the CBD, its makes work rather difficult. Worst still personal events were unfolding on Saturday's epic coverage fail that I desperately needed my mobile..... As soon as my contracts are finished, I will be taking my business else where.
