Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

10676 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is EPIC FAIL at 5 Jan 2011 03:15:54 PM
I signed up with vodafone around 2 years ago and have never had any real issues with it, until recently.
I moved into a new house with my fiancee around 3 months ago and when we moved in, we had both 3G coverage and telephone reception.
Over the last 2 and a half months, coverage has gradually gotten worse and now we have NO 3G coverage and extremely limited telephone reception; unless we turn our phones off and then turn them back on - in which case, we get full reception and 3G coverage for around 20 seconds before it goes back to nothing.
We went into a Vodafone store to enquire and a the attendant who worked there responded with (this is a direct quote), "well, if you couldnt get reception, you shouldn't have moved there."
I have tried calling Vodafone and am always left waiting on hold for ages and then I am transferred through to another department, and wait on hold for ages to speak with them also.
Yesterday, my fiancee called Vodafone in the morning as was promised a call back at 6.15pm. When he heard nothing by 6.30, he tried calling them from my mobile and waiting on hold for over an hour, and the person transferred him to another department and he waiting another 40mins before hanging up.
My sms's come back with a note saying that they haven't been sent, so I send them again, and again, and again and people respond saying they have received 7 or 8 texts from me - and I am being charged for ALL of these texts!
Also, I get so many people tell me they have tried to call my mobile - I tell them I have no coverage at my house and ask if they get that generic voice telling them the phone was unavailable - but they assure me that the phone rings, but I never get any missed calls on my phone.
I know that this post is a bit of an jumbbled rant, but I have so many issues and they have randomly popped into my head whilst I have been typing, hence I havent been able to string my sentences together coherently.
Bottom line is:
I AM VERY UNHAPPY and it is unfair becasue there is absoloutely nothing I can do about it, but that shouldn't mean that I should have to put up with horrible service either!
6 Jan 2011 02:13:46 PM: Coverage has changed dramatically in the last 3 months because after the merger with 3mobile into VHA both networks are upgrading and changing their towers. During this time they said there would be some temporary outages while the new towers were put up. If you check the vodafone website you can search your area and see where the towers are still affected, which ones are going to be affected too, expected outages, resolve times etc etc. Hope that helps - it did for me. The reduced coverage is a temporary thing and should be resolved soon and go back to how it was
