Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

11024 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is FINALLY GOT THROUGH at 7 Jan 2011 08:24:22 AM
OK I finally got through to vodafone and requested my handset be unlocked. I was told I had to pay $75 for this. I have been with vodafone for 78 months and I have paid them enough! They say they are very aware of this site, and that all you other people have been contacted to "resolve the issue". Is this the truth here? I bet not. Apparently he said if you post your mobile number on here, they will contact you. I am a bit uncomfortable posting my mobile number on here and Im sure Im not the only one. They want to resolve my problem, then unlock the handset without charge! I've paid Vodafone enough over the last 78 months, I should not have to pay this as well. THAT would be the ultime sign of "goodwill" from a telecommunications network! Another issue is the accents. Even the supervisors, I said "Im sorry it is very hard to understand you" to which I got a reply "I am also human even if I am not in Australia". ARGH!!!!
7 Jan 2011 08:28:28 AM: They credited my account with $50. Wow, a lot of use that will be when it can't be used as it should. They are just scared, I told him I wanted to move to optus, and he knew I meant it!
7 Jan 2011 08:58:18 AM: I find it extraordinary that the VF operator asked you to post your number on a public website so they could contact you and "resolve the issue". That is just pure bollocks, certainly not custromer service.
7 Jan 2011 10:19:14 AM: I was told to do the same thing or to give them my email address so that "someone could contact me". I gave them my email address (had to repeat it 15 times until they got it right and yet still haven't heard anything - WHAT A SURPRISE!!!!
7 Jan 2011 04:53:18 PM: I was charged $50 to unlock my iPhone from overseas and I've been with vodafone for 6 years and have paid them thousands of dollars. They're bloodsucking money grabbers.
