Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

17817 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Epic Fail!!! at 6 May 2011 07:40:09 PM
I signed up with 3 without being told they were part of Vodafail as I was leaving them because I was sick of the crap reception, service and everything else. I've been with them (3) for nearly a year and have had 2 bills sent to me in the ENTIRE time!!! I have been sick for the last 6 or so weeks and on crutches and hadn't thought about my mobile bill (my home and internet is through Telstra and they gave me a courtesy call to say that my bill was overdue and once I explained my situation they said they understood and would accept payment with my next bill) - anyway back to the point I logged onto the website to see if I had a bill due, and I find that instead of my $79 bill that I was expecting they want me to pay them nearly $200 and I don't know what for as I don't have an itemized bill!!!! On Monday morning I am planning on putting in a complaint to the TIO as I want out of my contract because I get charged for "roaming" when I'm in my own house!!!! I don't care if I have to pay out the phone, but I'm not paying them a cent until I can see in front of me what all the charges are for!!!!
6 May 2011 10:06:54 PM: Having spoken with numerous people in overseas countries where English is DEFINITELY NOT the first language, I have had the extra charges dismissed, and will more than likely be having my contract cancelled as when I signed up they FAILED TO DISCLOSE the "coverage issues" they have and have known about in my area for YEARS!!!!! All I am waiting on is a phone call from someone in the next 48 hours from the appropriate department when I can tell them to shove my contract!
