Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

I have used Vodafone's Prepaid Mobile Broadband for quite some time now and have always suffered one small problem or another. More recently though, perhaps the last 3 months, I have had significant trouble connecting to the internet, and when I finally get a proper connection, I get a screen message saying 'Internet Explorer Cannot Display This Webpage'. As you can imagine, this has become increasingly frustrating. What used to take me a few minutes each morning, (ie; checking emails, facebook, banks)now takes me most of the day, and I continually have to log off the internet and hope I can log back on in order to perhaps do anything online. I'm concerned because when I log on to secure websites such as my bank, when I try to log out, my browser displays the above message and I cant be sure whether or not I have been logged out correctly. This whole situation is making me quite angry.

My other gripe with this is that for the amount of money I pay each month for such a crappy service and so little download allowance, I could be with a better company, on a plan, with more benefits for alot less money each month, which would include my home phone and mobile. On top of this, once I connect to the internet, but cant display webpages, it still appears to consume some of my allowed download and I'm not getting a decent service for what I pay for.

I'm quite tired of this dodgy service and if it is not improved by Vodafone, I will be tranferring my service to someone else. Vodafone, it's just not good enough.
12 May 2011 10:16:29 AM: I am having exactly the same issue! On top of this the cord that connects to my pocketwifi has broken AGAIN (3rd time in 6 months). Last time they made me purchase a new one ($25, not the $5 that they told me it would cost!). The reason it keeps breaking? My dodgy service means I have to stretch my cord up to reach shelves and even sit on top of my monitor so that I can get even the tiniest signal, so ridiculous! Now I'm asking them for a new cord and a discount due to crappy service, we'll see what happens, if not I will be looking for a new provider!
13 May 2011 10:52:47 AM: You can actually buy the required cord in lengths of 5, 10 or 20m. Don't let Vodafail make you buy one off them- cgo to your local computer store, show them the cable you have that is too short for your purposes and they'll be able to hook you up with a much longer one for a fraction of the price Vodafail would charge you.
