Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

7808 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Failure! at 28 Dec 2010 09:35:22 PM
After being to I would receive signal at my principle place of residence I signed up to a 24 month $114 cap. Once I got the phone home I had no signal at all, not even at the front of my house! Dealt with the issue for almost a year only being able to use my phone in the centre of town and in various other restricted places I had become fed up with paying dead money to VODAFONE! So after contacting customer care and talking to some call centre in "Melbourne" various times I finally took them to the Telecommunications Ombudsmen, even Vodafones response from that complaint was not overly satisfying. Saying my service was being investigated but would take 4 to 5 months to complete. I said I was not happy with this and then they said I would break the contract (12months) early, but it would cost $1000+. After fighting it some more the termination fee has been waived but was told I would have to pay full price for the handset $850 for an IPhone 3GS. I continued to tell them that the phone is outdated and obsolete. They lowered the price to $300 but still I am not willing to pay that, I believe I should be allowed to keep the phone after the pain and lies I was sold from the start! Still not happy and think that compensation would be in favor! Not to mention the local Vodafone store closed down almost a year ago....wonder why?!?!?!? Was then told when I was switching to OPTUS using a new IPhone 4 I would have the same issues because Vodafone and OPTUS use the same networks! How wrong are they! Get next to full signal outside and still medium strength inside! They need a wake-up call and its about time!
