Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

7969 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is watching the ashes for $2.49 at 29 Dec 2010 06:10:37 AM
I thought hey i may as well watch the the 3rd test of the ashes on my i-phone at work instead of listen on my ol transistor :)

Remembered hearing heals during the 2nd test say watch the ashes live for $2.49 on your mobile :) why wouldnt you at that price?

All i can say is thank god it only lasted just over 3 days coz 4 days later, i got a txt saying "that due to high usage not covered by your plan, services are temporarily suspended, please call 1300305522 to discuss options" aye what, i then call this 1300 number and find i cant call it because im currently serving a suspension! so i then jumped on the computer to find out what the story is and find im up for $736 :0 for watching the aussies whop the english, mouth falls on floor so i ring the 1300 number from my wifes mobile and get put on hold then redirected and then the call drops out, so i ring back and ask if this number is costing me more cash and they then give me the secret 15 something customer care number which would have been the best number to give me in the 1st place :( so i then ring this number and get passed from person to person explaining my dilemma and repeating my 4 digit pin pass over n over! then i get the person thats going to help me, i tell my tale of horror again! she then says as a one time act of good faith we can cut the bill in half and give you back 500mb's! i asked wouldnt it be a fair thing if when my just over 2gb usage was up that a reminder txt should come thru telling me that im about use a good part of a weeks wages to watch the rest of the test and that if i was going to spend $736 watching the test id have grabbed a flight to the wacca and watched it live!! She then told me off for not checking my usage every 2nd day and to be careful watching the cricket in the future! i once again explained that it had been a total accident and that id never have watched if it was going to cost me even half of what it cost me and that i felt i had been fully takin advantage off :\

Then was put thru another two operators repeating my pin and story to each before they lifted my suspension :(

Has anyone else been thru this horror of watching test match cricket and getting slapped with a massive bill that could have easily been avoided with a friendly reminder from vodafone that your agreed usage have been reached/exceeded?
