Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

8783 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is I just want to call and text at 29 Dec 2010 09:46:12 PM
I don't ask much of Vodafone, I just want to reliably be able to take and make calls and receive and send text messages...

When people try to call me they often get 'unable to connect' error tones and messages OR the phone rings at their end but my handset never rings and the voicemail they leave doesn't arrive for hours. I have replicated this with my home phone in one hand ringing my mobile in the other which sits there silent while my home phone is dialling away. Grrrr.

The network seems to frequently "forget" that my handset is attached to it for hours on end, eventually I will get a bunch of text messages when it remembers me that are time stamped the time they were sent in the past few hours but didn't arrive until much later.

The network refuses to send my text messages, sometimes turning my handset on and off again resolves this but sometimes it doesn't especially if there are multiple messages in my outbox waiting to be sent.

My housemate has the opposite problems, he sends me a text message and the same message arrives on my phone anywhere from 3 to 6 times despite him only having sent it once.

I really want the new HTC Desire HD which is exclusive to Vodafone but I am not willing to sign up to Vodafone again to get it. Massive fail Vodafone.
29 Dec 2010 10:10:03 PM: Yea I know how you feel, hope the phone is released with other carriers.
30 Dec 2010 12:35:20 AM: You are better off doing what I am planning on in the new year to escape Vodafail's crapness. Sign up with Optus or Telstra (other carriers), get the best phone for the package you want (samsung galaxy s or other similarly valued phones). Then I plan to sell the phone on Ebay and buy the HTC Desire HD outright from Ebay or MobiCity if I want the warranty.

I want this phone too but I read that the HTC Desire HD is forever exclusive to Voda and they paid $57mill for the pleasure - our displeasure.

I am sick of Vodafone dropping out all the freaking time. Have to stand in weird positions to get reception and cannot justify having an awesome phone if the service doesn't allow you to appreciate it. NOT WORTH IT!!
30 Dec 2010 02:50:50 AM: You realise that you're paying off that handset and selling it would be illegal?
