Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

Vodafail have no idea on how to treat customers, or even produce any kind of customer service what-so-ever. I have no reception at my house. The phone is continously dropping out with no reception (in the middle of the city), with calls and internet (called at least 10 times in regardss to the interent!!) on phone. SICK TO DEATH of speaking to people I CANNOT understand (WHERE IS THE AUSSIE SPIRIT..!!) Trying to get something done.. and they offer an additional INTERNET SERVICE! Seriously guys.. you cant get one thing operating.. WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD I WANT ANOTHER..
I left Vodaphone a couple of years ago.. because they had no clue on how to bill people.. Went to another next (which i SHOULDNT HAVE LEFT) because Vodaphone was highly commended by one of my mates.. WHAT A JOKE you guys are.
NO i will not pay ANY of my bills until this is fixed..
NO i will not pay out nmy contract becasue of your stuff ups..
NO i will NEVER recommend Vodaphone to anyone. and..
..YES i will do my very dam best to tell everyone what a poor, unless bunch of twits you really are.

As a NZ vistor to Australia I am sick of being ripped off having to get a mobile data stick/ship that lasts only a month each time I visit. The info required to get one is really US policy - Australia under US's thumb in siege mode stupidity. Getting a SIMM for a phone is just as arduous. Wake up Australia and wake up to vodafone ripping everyone off.

13540 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is its not my phone at 21 Jan 2011 08:55:55 AM
it all started a few months ago when i couldnt connect to a call. i would need to attempt my call at least 10 times to get through. and the i would be happy chatting away and then bam call disconnects about 5 mins into the call with the message connection error. i rang customer service i was told the wait was over an hour so i chose the call back option. i did not receive a call back until 4 hours later and guy was not helpful. he kept telling me vodafone has no faults and that it was my phone. i kept informing him that i have tried several phones and i got the same error. he was insistent that i restore my factory settings so i did and it made no difference. in the past few weeks the service has gotten better but i would still like to see vodafone admit they were in fault and credit my bill for the inconvenience.

Hi, just venting my anger here. Late last year, December... my vodafone coverage completely dropped out for approx 1 week. I could not receive or make calls. Naturally I contacted vodafone customer service, and was instructed to restart my phone, reset network settings and change the sim. After doing all that was advised, my calls are still dropping out to this day, I have no service 90% of the time, even when im in CBD area... and my 3G is extremely slow. I've completely had it Vodafone...
13538 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Bad lyer catch 22 at 21 Jan 2011 08:54:52 AM
All the time my phone drops out in middele conversation . This i beleive is on purpous as calls are payed for and timed.
So i complained to Vodafone. who fobbed me off to thier customer service representatives, who said there weren't any known network issues and the problems that i was experiencing were related to my brand new Mobile phone or my old SIM card.
So i took the phone in to NOkia services center as vodafone reps suggested. After much testing, supprise.... Nokia found nothing wrong with new phone. In most cases they too suggested to reboot the phone or get a new SIM card does not solve the problem. catch 22.
Nokia told me it was the sim card or the network services. A Catch 22 since, back and forth from Vodafone and Nokia. I used my old phone to see if its the new phone or the newtork. Yes its the vodafone network. Im so lokcked into a 2 year phone contract that is so bad.

I recently purchased a new phone contract through Vodafail, after having pre paid with Vodafone for a couple of years. This prepaid was costing me a maximum of $79/month, every month. I was told that by going on a plan with my new phone with a $69 cap that the calls would be much less and that it would be a lot more economical for me. For the first three months...fine, but now all of a sudden they are saying that I have gone $260 over my cap, and I have not made any more calls than usual, and being in Real Estate in Qld my phone does not ring all that often ! I also got this new phone to enable me to access emails, but after several Indians telling me that my phone is connected to the internet, and should be receiving emails, and have internet access, I still only have a standard phone with no internet access at all. I took it into the Vodafone store, and because I had purchased it directly from Vodafone by phone, they did not want to help, and said that they did not know how to set up email or internet access on my phone. I have sent numerous emails re my account and my internet access but with no success. I find that they are very prompt in asking for their accounts to be paid, but in nothing else.

3G data constantly not working. I wouldnt have bought an Iphone if i didnt want to use 3G data! can never get through to customer service and when i do, like to open a fault ticket, they never respond with an answer to the fault. Or, they will put you through to another department, which is usually closed- so spending 45 mins on the phone to get through to them, is a complete waste of my time:(

3G CONSTANTLY dropping out of late, had to use the internet on another friends phone due to constant dropouts and was shocked at how quickly and easily pages loaded - didnt even realise how bad Vodafone was until this point. I havent even bothered phoning Vodafone as I feel certain I will be told this is MY problem.

I rang on Wednesday 19th January to complain (again!!) Had previously put in a written complaint just after christmas. The response was everything was ok and the technicians were doing everything possible. I had to make 5 phone calls to 2 people as the phone dropped out didn't go through - honestly who knows! I rang to cancel the service got a customer service officer, they put me through to another area network connections and they take my mobile number and that was it dead silence on the other end of the phone. They didn't even ring back. I rang 155 again and the phone rang (yes rang) for 20 mins and no one answered it. I've had ENOUGH!!!!

Signed a contract in August 2010, $99 unlimited plan with 3GB of data. Can hardly use the data as most of the time my phone says "data connection lost". I have to continually restart the browser and try to get where I am going. What is the point of 3GB when you cannot even use a fraction of it effectively?
13529 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Wrong billing at 21 Jan 2011 08:50:56 AM
While my two-year mobile phone was expired three years ago, I had porting/transferred my mobile phone to another company. My new mobile phone and confirmed the porting before the expiry of the two-year contact. However, Vodafone still keep on charging me and my wife monthly and asked debt collector to issue warning letter and threaten to take legal action against us. The amount is talking $50. Having complained to their customer service several times, They repeatedly admitted the mistakes but final reminders and warning letters from debt collector kept on coming. I repeatedly sent e-mail enclosing their admission of wrong doing for several few months, finally they stop issuing warning letter.
Their behaivour and threatening letter was very frustrating and intolerant

After spending 3 hours on hold to transfer to customer service, I was advised that the csr was going to transfer me to a department that could assist me. She transferred me to a call q that was closed. I was alos told that move form post pay to pre pay that I would need a new sim card which I bought and it was all a load of rubbish, didn't need to spend $30 at all. Dropped calls alot in 3070 and overall crap service.

Waste of my time and I am just so sick of Vodafone, customer care requires more than 30minutes to answer the bloody call. They are so incompetent in answering questions and always unsure about things.

I was a loyal customer of Vodafone for many years. I recommended them to my friends and family and had others join Vodafone. Until about 12 months ago, when I began with network issues with my mobile telephone and mobile broadband. I waited out the broadband contract, but had just committed to a 2 year contract for the phone. I moved down the road in the inner city suburbs of Sydney and found I couldn't get any coverage at home. Vodafone tried to blame the move (it's the inner city..!) then my handset. So I had my handset replaced. Vodafone still blamed my handset, then blamed me - apparently I was delusional because "all checks were conducted" and they found "no faults." I collected evidence, patiently conducted all the troubleshooting, had statements from third parties connected with Vodafone and 3, I argued (politely yet assertively) with them for 6 months, I even had the phone hung on me by Vodafone! Until finally I went to the TIO. Initially even the TIO referred me straight back to Vodafone and closed the case. Vodafone offered me a discount - they ignored the issue which was that I could not use the service. Vodafone told me a discount was "the most the TIO would be able to do" also. Feeling like I had no option, I begrudgingly accepted the discount and very disgruntled, I wrote to the TIO expressing my disappointment with their handling of the matter. Finally, TIO escalated the complaint and they contacted Vodafone. After months of pleading with Vodafone - I have finally been released from my contract. A contract which, in my view, Vodafone had been in breach of anyway. If you're experiencing the same, request to be released. Contact the relevant Ombudsperson in your area. Thank you Vodafail for bringing this issue to everyone's attention.

I have poor connection to Vodafone services at my work place which is in the building of 1 Margaret St, Sydney, NSW 2000. I see only 1 or 2 bars on my phone display. Some areas in the building show no signal at all. As a result I have very limited possibility to call anyone or receive a call. The situation is the same with other Vodafone customers in the building.

We have our 2nd home in Cromer Heights only because neither my VHA 3G phone coverage and my wife's Voda Phones (yeap 2 of) are so badly covered signal wise that we need to live monday - Friday at Neutral bay where the coverage is sufficent that we can use the mobiles with any sort of accepatble quality.
In addition the use of 3G Data connections is like whistling dixie.
To get an accepteble conversation we stand on the footpath at the front of the house or on top of the back fence so that the persons we are talking to can actually hear our conversation.
#g was Ok when it roamed on Telstra but now HVA has it set up to use Vodaphone onluy
In short ideal service location at Cromer Heights provide you are prepared to accept poor and often no service coverage.

My parents live about 30 mins out of Melbourne in a quite well known town. Since joining Vodafone I have been unable to use my mobile at all when out that way to visit them, there is absolutely no reception. This coupled with the delayed voice mail, SMS and MMS messages can become incredibly. Never had this issue with my other provider.

13513 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is In every way! at 21 Jan 2011 08:45:04 AM
I have been with Vodafone for 10 years now, and in the last 6 or so months, they have become the worst Telco company in Australia.
I still have all my bills downloaded, detailing the numerous times I would have to call someone back after signal dropouts. I called Vodafone 2 weeks ago after realising customer loyalty means nothing to them. I spoke to one person after holding for 10 minutes, who then transferred me to the Network department, for whom I waited on hold for 45 minutes. And yes, I was calling from a landline at work because my mobile, my only form of communication, would have dropped out after just 2 minutes.
They eventually called me back stating that the coverage in my area has been improved since I complained. My initial question to them was "do I have to pay exit fees on my contract?" which I reiterated to them at this point. They transferred me yet again. Being on my mobile this time, my phone cut out. I then contacted the Ombudsman and am currently waiting to hear from Vodafone again.
I am so sick of not receiving text messages or people not being able to call me because my phone is "unavailable" when it should be available.

I was trying to do a 'Change of Title' on my phone. So I called Vodafone, took the 'callback' option, where their 'in 15 mins' became 2 hours.
So, I explained what I wanted to do (change title on the phone).
The call centre told me that the ONLY way to change title was for me and the other person to go into a Vodafone store together.
So, two days later, we lined up our schedules, and went into a Vodafone store.
In store, they dismissed us, and told us that the only way we could do this was, in fact, over the phone.
So, I called them again, usual hour long wait, and they told me that the only way we could do this was in store. I told them the store had sent us back to the phone. They said it couldn't be done, because in store they have to do a credit check. I asked if we could do it on the phone, they said there was no way.
So, I went back to the store. The store told me they couldn't do a credit check. I asked to speak to the manager. The person I spoke to said they WERE the manager. So, I wandered to another Vodafone store nearby, and they told me they could, in fact do the credit check, but it really should've been done on the phone.
I did the credit check.
Called Vodafone back, with my credit check receipt/statement details that they can use. They said they'd be happy to do this, I gave them my details from the credit check, gave the phone to the other person involved in the Change of Title, and the person from Vodafone then said that they couldn't do the change because of the credit check. The person I was with told them we had done the credit check, but the Vodafone said no, and hung up on them, and told us to go back to a Vodafone store.
So - I called Vodafone, lodged a formal complaint over the phone, then managed to proceed with the Change of Title, finally, after two weeks of fiddling around like this.
I called again for another reason a week later, and decided to check if my formal complaint had actually been lodged.
It had not.

Responding to Vodaphones' statement that one call look at the Status on their website, when I looked, only Qld is experiencing any problems, the rest of us should obviously be happy. As a customer who has a 3G data package on top of his regular contract i am extremely annoyed as i have no been able to use it to its full capacity. I have 8gb of additional downloads of which i am lucky to use 200mb due to frequent drop outs. I gave vodafone the benefit of the doubt, however, after experiencing this issue in various parts of the country including but not limited to Sydney and Brisbane i have realized that their service is fail. As it stands i have refused to pay my recent phone bill. i have contacted vodafone and they are still messing me around with poor advice and placing me on a 5 day waiting list. I have now contacted the TIO and i am awaiting their advice.

There's a rumour that the call drop outs is a tactic that Vodafone is using to charge flagfall and make extra cash.
The picture... more than 3 million customers, each make at least 1 call per day that drops out and they have to redial to finish the conversation. Vodafone has 6 million customers... 3 million calls is a conservative estimate.
Flagfall of 25c x 3,000,000 x 365 = 273,750,000. Even if only one out of 100 is outside cap, not to another vodafone, it's still easy money.

I live in a terrace in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
Coverage on all three floors of my house is non-existent - the only way I can access data is with my Telstra WIFI network.
And I never receive calls or vmail when at home. Only once I leave home do my vmails start to appear.
Vodafone is without doubt these worst service I have EVER experienced.

A few things:
a) I am using mobile phone for my business a lot. A few months back I was at Melbourne airport trying to talk to my boss about an important customer situation in our business. Call dropped, no coverage. A few seconeds later I had full coverage, and I had not moved. Got in contact again, spoke for 2 minutes of so, call dropped, no coverage. I had not moved an inch. Few seconds later I had full coverage and opened a call again. Dropped after a minute and could not connect any more, had to board the plane. Our conversation got delayed by 1 1/2 hours and had impact. Grrrrrr.
b) I have been Vodafone customer since 2002. I have been driving along beach road (I know it's not Beach Road all the way but anyway) for all these years and very typical it is that I am using my hands free, while driving around 5-6 pm. In the past I could fingerpoint 2 sports along the way where I knew there was no reception and my call would drop. Today I can fingerpoint 5 spots. This tells you how Vodafone is improving it's service.
I have decided to move to Telstra, once my contract is over. Happy to pay more as long as by business is not impacted.

After 3 hours on hold with Vodaphone regarding the above issues and being passed and dropped and passed and dropped, I decided - screw this,I'm going to email and they can call me. 5 emails later and 6 weeks, no call. I have no reception while at my house or my parents house, my partner is self employed and constantly misses calls regarding jobs because of reception coverage, I cancelled his plan months because of the lack of reception and told the customer service team that and they said there was nothing they could do, only now to be told they should have let us out of the contact instead of me paying $400 for the service to be cancelled because of the lack of range. Their company is a joke, and I can't see it getting any better for me in the short term, considering we are not pushing the 2 month mark and no answers.

I've just switched over to Vodafone from 3 and signed up to a 45 Infinite plan with a iPHone 4. The plan was only activated a week ago and when I check my balance (hoping to confirm data usage but also whether I have any charges outstanding), it said I owed $5 then $7 etc. I'm not concerned about the money but I looked into the plan in depth and I don't believe I have made any calls/data that isn't covered (including tethered data).
Logging into my Vodafone shows I'm being charged for all data ...and yes it is way, way under 1G. All used in 3G or E network etc
FOUR calls to Vodafone. System down, still have $576 left under cap (WTF – it isn't a 'cap' plan – thanks complaints line), hang up after 45 mins and we don't know until you get your bill.
1) Does anyone else have this problem? Obviously, I want confirmation of what it is I'm supposidely doing that isn't covered.
2) Why does Vodafone sign people up just to piss them off?

Rang up to complain about reception issues. After 2 hours of being on hold and told to hang in there, she said she needed to transfer me. While transfering me they must of been new because they hung up on me(or it cut out after 2 hours on hold who knows.)
Ringing back again the next day i decided to choose cancellations. Thinking they may pick up a cancellation quicker as the person at this stage might be pissed, I again had to wait 2 hours to be told to be transfered again.
After successfully being transfered and another 2 hour wait they said they would "look into it".
Are you serious? 6 hours of waiting to be told they are looking into it. 3 days later they rang me back saying they had fixed the problem. After telling him they have not done shit and I still need to stand on my bed to make a call and get the 1 bar or so needed, they claimed they are always making improvements to their network and to just hang in there.
I think the ombudsman can sort this out for me now.

We are based in Melbourne and have a sister office in Sydney. On average it takes four attempts to make a connection with any of our staff up there. This is Voda to Voda as we have more than a dozen phones on the network. It is impacting on business and staff morale and the service is getting worse, not better.

I have been with Vodafone ever since purchasing my first mobile phone (years ago). I consider myself lucky as the only issue I have had over the years is the occasional over charge by a few dollars. Though having seen the issues my partner had when chasing up her new phone and rectifying hunderds of dollars of overcharging I simply hope that nothing does go wrong with my contract. I understand for the purpose of minimising cost that the call centre is based (presumably) in India. This fact alone creates a nightmare when trying to solve any form of significant issue: hold times (astronomical), accountability from staff members, return contact and methods of contact (alternate to phone) are non existant. How Vodafone can literally just accept that they are going to offer this ridiculous level of service is beyond me. I honestly feel that if I ever have a serious issue with my phone / contract that my company have nothing to assist me. We need customer service over the phone in Australia and for the Vodafone stores to actually be able to lend some assistance!!!!

My parents are with Vodafone and they usually send cheques to vodafone to pay the bills. Somehow our oct cheque was presented but Vodafone sends a bill since nov advising that we are late by 2 payments- one for the last month and the current month. I have emailed custhelp.com a number of times trying to rectify the problem. I asked them to confirm whether they received the particular cheque number, and they could not tell me. I call Voda to sort the mess once and for all. They call and advise my parents there is no outstanding bill except the current one. We get the next bill and still reflects we have an outstanding bill. I call again and still waited 30mins on the line. Now it is Jan 11, they ask me to fax the bank statement. I did it via email before and now I have to fax again. I call a week later, they have not action the request or investigation. Again I speak to another person and repeat the same thing, she now says will take 20days and will send to investigation department. Now i am waiting for them to respond. i look on the website to lodge a complaint.. complaints via email go to custhelp...they are the ones I want to complain about! I am going over this situation over and over again with them.. I am sick of them, and i am not even with them!

This is my second contract with vodafone. Had no problem for the duration of my first contract however once I renewed my contract for a 2nd term I started to experience certain probelms. After switching to paperless statements I rely on their website to provide me with my billing information. This worked out nicely for a while however for some reason unknown to me I was not able to login anymore to veiw my statement and therefore unable to make payment for my bill. Once I contact the CS dept at Vodafone(on hold for 2hrs) in regards to this issue they advise they were upgrading the system, I have to call them each month to ask LARA for an account balance. It appears that they have been upgrading thier site for the last 3 months. Anyhow CS were totally useless in resolving this issue and straight out RUDE!! Why they outsource their call centre to india is a mystery. They may be cheap labour but the service they provide shows exactly how cheap these guys really are. At least give them guys over their a crash course in English. Oh and I also have the standard Vodafone issue's like no reception, delayed msg's and voicemail and poor download speed. My contract ends in March and I cant wait until its finally over. Never going back!

My technically illiterate mother recently purchased a Vodafone internet dongle. IT worked perfectly when it was set up and easily downloaded. After 1 week she tried to use it again and whilst it would connect it would not download. It took 6 minutes for the Facebook homepage to even display. She called Vodafone who told her it was 1)her computer 2) her USB port 3) where the computer was located in the house (without acknowledging that it had worked perfectly well in the same place before) not once did they mention they had known network issues. They have become an absolute joke of a company. I noticed the other day when they had a security breach they issued a press statement and took immediate action (Because they could be prosecuted if they did not) where as people have been having network issues for months and no statement (with any valuable info) or action has been taken (is this because they cant be charged for it so don't care)?

had so much difficulty sending emails with data/file attachments, it took two days until I went to a store and ask the people there, how they can solve the issue of sending a simple email with just one photo attachment.
the frustrating question from the store staff was, "have you tried several times?". i went beserk and flabbergasted about the arrogance and the tone of her question, having explained to here that it's been two days that i had been trying to.
eventually, she took my iphone unit and did something without explanation whatsoever, and handed it back to me and said, "done"
after all the trouble, i asked for the supervisor. i demanded a simple answer to the store supervisor about the issue on connectivity. she replied, "having merged with "3", "3" customers take precedent on having access to the 3G network and she does not know why?
i just find it really irritating and at the same time hilarious that "we" as customers are just being treated like "kids" and "idiots" about the answers you are getting from them

My sister had a baby and my brother in law couldn't get a hold of me due to vodaphone's reception. He could get a hold of everyone else but me, I ended up finding out 2 hours later then when I tried calling people, after 1 minute the phone would cut out. This happened over 6 times and I can tell you now I have cursed vodaphone for a long time but this was the final straw. Everytime you call up you are on hold for hours and if you go into a vodaphone store they have ques out the door of people complaining. I actually turned 2 tourists away from vodaphone in the CBD as they were waiting for 20 minutes and they asked me what i thought of vodaphone, my exact words were "if i wasn't locked into this contract I wouldn't be with them, go to telstra". My ex fiance has troubles sending me messages, This has happened so many times over the last 2 years i continue to go to vodaphone and telling them something is wrong with my settings, one minute I can receive his messages then next minute I can't. It actually caused us to break up because of mis-communication and it was all because i never got the messages I needed to get off him.

I have been a Vodafone customer for 6 years and when my plan run out in November I (foolishly) tried to renew my plan with one of the latest offers for an iPhone. After nearly 15 phone calls with the usual waiting time I finally got a plan that I wanted and went through the tedious but necessary legal requirements over the phone and was informed that there would be a delay of 2 weeks for the phone to arrive, after already waiting two months this didn't bother me. One Month on I still haven't received my phone, I contacted them yesterday and they told me they have no record of me renewing my plan or that the conversation I had ever took place.
I will be settling my account with Vodafone today and signing up to Optus tomorrow.
I was also extremely courteous and freindly with all Vodafone staff I have dealt with as I understand it is not their fault, this however has got me absolutely no where. Adios Vodafone

Vodafone's incompetent, lazy and make-things-up-as-they-go but can speak english call centre in India set up when their countryman ran Vodafone, will always be a problem for this telco.

No reception and sometimes have to turn phone off and on again to get reception again.
Ultra slow internet speed in bytes per second!

13449 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Call Drop Outs at 21 Jan 2011 08:21:03 AM
Nearly every call drops out. I feel this is deliberatly done to make us pay extra connection fee's. it all adds up, plus it is extremely annoying.
also after coming out of train tunnels i have to restart my phone to get reception back. very frustrating. vodafone need to take a long hard look at themselves

Absolutely shocking coverage.
Then, my first bill is $205!!!! What happened to the 3 months free?!!
Get on to customer service...no there was no such deal. Told him I have an email confirmation...got told I was lying!!!!!

22 Jan 2011 07:05:13 PM: Hey dude, I'm on that promo plan! But they told me it was 2 months free and 10% off every bill. So far they have only given me 1 month free I'm still waiting for the other month.

During recent overseas travel-
Could not access voice message.
People had diffficulty in leaving voice messages.
Could receive email but not send.
However, no problem in being charged excessive data roaming fees!
Thanks Vodafone.

13446 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is trying to switch over to another network at 21 Jan 2011 08:20:06 AM
I am a 3 customer( which is apparently vodafone), i got a terrible service. I just live only 5 km from CBD(adelaide), still my call drop rate is almost 80%. It is a very bed service. Even outside my home is a very high call droped. I advise anyone not to buy 3 or Vodafone at all.
13445 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is MEGA FAIL at 21 Jan 2011 08:20:06 AM
I live in Richmond. No reception at home. I work in Southbank. No reception at work. I walk through the city, reception but it is prone to regular 'cut-outs' in reception in the city that last anywhere from 20 mins to an hour.
13444 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Lack of Coverage and Dropoutsand Late Messages at 21 Jan 2011 08:19:57 AM
Both my wife and myself have Vodafail unlimited mobile accounts and are sick of late sms messages,Voice messages arriving days after they are left for us then you have to eat humble pie when you call back the person who left the message for you. This service has cost myself clientel and is unexceptable. When we finally got through to the service area and spoke to human not LARA the robot run around girl we were told what it would cost to leave Vodafail to which i asked is that dolars or Indian Rubles. Fix your problems Vodafoe or release people with realistic termination fees.
13443 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Broadband at 21 Jan 2011 08:19:42 AM
Welcome to my world I've had 3 broadband for 2 years without being able to use it. I wasted 2 months exhausting all options in trying fix the service before realizing it was just a continual circle of pass the buck and they are just waiting for you to give up. I finally resorted to reducing my plan to the lowest plan and wait the contract out. I signed up to hard wired service with another provider and have never been happier. That is until today when my contract expires this month and I canceled, I did have to wait 1 hour 15 min to do so but I speaker phone and have work to do while I wait. I feel warm and fuzzy inside now, knowing I don't have to deal with 3 vodafone any more.
13442 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Mess in Mess Out at 21 Jan 2011 08:19:25 AM
Initially I was on a plan for mobile phone, after 1st month .. I was enlightened to the mistake of joining vodafone. I struggled for one year and cancelled the contract.
Again I fell into the Mobile Broadband deal which was $39 for 8GB. Now again I have been enligtened to my foolishness. My first month bill was Aud 62 and my seccond month bill was Aud 129/-.
I have been trying to contact Vodafone to cancel my service. Its been a pain to be on the que for 40 mins and when they answer , the call drops out !! Its Insane..
Now again I am in Que !!
Now that they have bought 3 .. I pity .. Australia !
Girish

13441 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is im pretty cross at 21 Jan 2011 08:19:13 AM
I have my own home-based business. I do not use a home phone because I took out the $99 unlimited plan for my mobile instead as I am on the phone a lot especially for work. I also don't like to advertise my home number for business, I feel it looks unprofessional. I bought a sim card first to try with my phone to make sure that the coverage was good. It was better coverage than Optus but I still have drop out regularly but I had previously had an optus plan and the reception in my home was appalling!(this is why I double checked with the sim before signing up!)
My complaint is with voicemail and text messages. I have NEVER had delays such as with this company. It can be up to 4 days before I receive a message which often means that I miss out on a job if I can't get to my phone on time or if it's a blocked call. (which is often the case as I deal with large companys regularly who sometimes have private numbers.)
I am so frustrated as the phone is 1 of the main tools I use in my business,
and it would be a great load off my mind and possibly into my purse if I could use my phone properly! if something can be done about this it would make running my business so much easier and my life a lot less stressful!

13440 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Vodafone=fail at 21 Jan 2011 08:18:39 AM
We had prepaid with Vodafone, and over the last 6 months period suffered poor reception, network dropouts and delayed SMS messages. Tried replacing the SIM, and the phone without success. Finally changed network provider and have been pain-free ever since.
I would not recommend Vodafone to anyone.

13439 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Massively! at 21 Jan 2011 08:17:47 AM
In an area where I have line of sight to two mobile phone towers and still experience drop outs, failed calls, intermittent and delayed messaging, and VERY slow 3G speeds all in an area vodafone says has great coverage (Suburban Adelaide).
I got the iPhone 3GS on the $69 cap thinking it was a great deal, It would have been better to pay an extra $10 a month to go with Telstra. The Telstra advert highlighting the young couple both using 3G on their phones and one having superior coverage sums up my experiences with Vodafone.
Now my phone has gone to my wife, since work has given me a new one, I am worried if she is in an emergency (i.e. Asthma attack) she won't be able to call for help even in a METRO area!
I have 12 months left on my contract and desperately need to bail to another carrier.
Have I got my $69 worth of value? No. Slow 3G speeds = cannot use my 1GB cap, and intermittent signal = cannot use my $450 worth of calls. Voda definitely fails!

13438 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Abhorrent at 21 Jan 2011 08:17:41 AM
Dropped calls, atrocious - mostly unusable 3G Mobile BroadBand, robotic voice on calls when they do get through. Some SMSs don't arrive till the next day.
I called Vodafail and after 45 minutes on the phone, I got told I can terminate my contract!

Drop outs, or just no service, but no more waiting on the phone for hours for me. Easy, I'm just deleting Vodafone from future business when my contracts finish in April. Going back to Telstra, at least they answer the phone.
