Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

I constantly have to wait up to a few hours to get service. In my house I don't have service in my room. It takes ages to load anything on my phone. When i'm talking on the phone, it drops out, sometimes cuts out and then I have no service. I get my voicemail messages up to a week after they are left.

WTF!!!!!! This isn't what I signed up for...SORT IT OUT VODAFONE!!!!!

I live right in the CBD and I have the worst network in my building. I keep getting disconnected while I am on the phone and plus I am on the blackberry plan where I cant get any services. In the past 6 months since I went on a plan with vodafone I have had 4 handsets and 5 sims replaced. This is the worst network provider ever, someone get me out of this contract.

Hi, I live in Ballajura, a suburb about 15km north/east of Perth, and told Vodafone have good coverage in my area. The suburb is flat, and i live in a normal brick/tile house. The signal inside the house is bad & often results in dropped out calls.
Have to go outside to get some sort of service. have contacted vodafone & told "there are no reported problems in the area"... I have swapped hand sets - no improvement, so it is a bad network issue, which they deny!! Angela

I have 3 vodafone contracts,one for my wife and 2 for my children as I work away from home I like to stay in touch.My family can't ring me and I can't get through to them.Working away from home is hard enough with out having no service to ring them over the christmas period.I have rang complained and they said terminate your contracts but its going to cost you.

Mobile number was ported to Vodafone years ago and now on a 24 month contract. The mobile number was given out to someone else over east. Our friends get her and her friends call us. After months of being on hold to sort it out Virgin have said it is an issue with Vodafone. Everytime I call Vodafone I get some bloody non english speaking person in India and have to explain the whole situation over and over. They tell me its not their issue so I ask to speak to superviser. Once again after telling my story to another 3 workers I finally get the superviser who cant help me as it is not their problem. AFTER 3 HOURS ON THE PHONE BEING TRANSFERED OVER AND OVER AND A 24 MONTH CONTRACT THATS USELESS, VODAFONE IT IS YOUR F@#KING PROBLEM.

O VODAFONE Too many stories to tell to much pain to recall but i am down from $79 plan to $29 plan. But While we are at it can anyone tell me why if i pay $79 a month and only use say $50 worth Why can i not get my balance carried over to the next month Why does the ACCC allow these stupid plans

Before moving out to Kalgoorlie WA 4 months ago I specifically called Vodafone to make sure that I would have full coverage - they showed me the coverage map and said that I would absolutely have signal. Over the past 4 months I have had regular drop-outs and no signal. I've tried calling to complain, but they are no help what-so-ever!

Hi, i live in Port Hedland WA and have been a vodafone subscriber for 3 years. I have been complaining for months now but all i have been told from vodafone is that they can do nothing because their is no signal. I indicated to them that on the web site it says i should have signal but there isnt any. They emailed me after numerous emails that their techs have looked at the issue and have realised that their is bad reception in my area and i need to live with that even tho they advertise a normal signal. i have had enough. Why should i pay for something that they can not deliver.

signal drop out,navigation not working on gps,i was thinking may be it was the phone but after reading other complaints not so sure now..(though the touch screen not always working.)
i am getting a new phone hada a choice of five to choose from..
but even trying to get thru to customer care is not easy, speak to lara first crap,and in a few words tell lara...
going into a vodafone shop is just as bad they have to call customer care as well and u are waiting in the shop for them to get through..each shop has a manager,they should be able to have the abilty to act on vdafones behalf but they cannot...
connecting internet is painfully slow if it does..
dialing 1512 service to find out how much is owed on account doesnt always work.
i have been with them since i have had a mobile but this last year has been utter crap...

Service dropout in a capital city & surrounds repeatedly.
Voicemail taking days to come thru.
MMS taking forever to come thru - sent @ 10.30am but was not received by hubby who is also with vodafone until that evening.
Failed service for two days.
Sent SMS to advice free calls for 24hrs to compensate for the loss of service for one of the days. Only for vodafone to also send a txt straight after about my bill being emailed - the amount due & due date - made me furious! Who says I'm sorry takes a breathe & then tells you to pay up *_*

Very frustrated now!

I am with Crazy Johns - but they use the vodafone network.. Main problem is poor speed / dropout of my USB broadband modem.. It works sometimes.. Have logged complaints, to no avail. Have been told "you are in a high speed service location" but thats rubbush! Not much faster than my old dial-up modem. They just wont admit to a problem!!

Went on a two year plan with vodafone.(big miatake).I got a blackberry.I had text coverage,but the internet connection ,was lets say nil..rang,told them ,but was put through to the blackberry section of vodafhone,oh yes it will work now...NO it did not.kept ringing and telling them..so in the end i stopped paying the contract..they have not contacted me ,but if they do.be prepared for war..totally this company should stop taking peoples money under false pretenses..my blackberry sits in box,plus i could not get internet coverage in wanneroo,and northern suburbs of perth..when i saw this on yahoo..I thought i was alone in this but as i see ,there are many people in the same position..

when i try to call using my vodafone line sometimes the calls automatically abort. After maybe 3 trials i get through and the person i have been calling say their phones are switched on with good reception. its almost impossible to contact vodafone.Iirwalle Vich

we have 3 vodafone mobiles in our family...last few days cant call no one,all it says is error in connection,or the mobile service you have call is unavailable !!! rang vodafone and complained,spoke to some indian woman (who could barely understand me).......their solution is switch off mobile,remove sim card and start again ??
service is still crap and only works now and then..where do i go from here ??

I have been with Vodafone for many years, first as a perpaid customer then on a contract. When I was on prepaid Vodafone was freat so after many years of good service I finaly trusted them enough to go in for a contract...well then it started. As soon as they knew I was locked in and they had my money for the next two years the customer service ended right there. I have called and complained brobably once a month since getting my contract in April 2009 and cant wait till April 2011 when I can call them anbd finaly tell them to jam it and not have to pay them any more money. Can't recieve mms or send despite the fact my phone has it set up, calls drop out, I get no service and my phone displays emergency only where vodafone usualy is on my screen, I was not told I would be charded my first two months at once in my first bill that arrived only 2 weeks after I joined (couldn't even wait till a month was up before they started asking for money) people can't call me despite the fact my phone is on ( they get told by recorded message that my number has been disconnected) and sms's arrive the next day. Also I have also had it happen that I have tried to call my contacts and it rings like I am calling them but their phone never rings and does not display a missed call so I dunno what going on there> I have realy had enough of talking to overseas people that I struggle to understand and having unreliable service. I am certainly not getting the service I was lead to believe that I would get.

My internet is garbage on my ipgone and is so slow

I will be getting away from them as soon as I can (15 months)

I am sick and tired of being unable to get on the vodafone website to recharge my mobile. I have also recently been issued a new mastercard which vodafone does not accept as being valid to i am unable to recharge!!! My husband spent 3 months in hospital and i would call vodafone to recharge his mobile but they would not accept my credit card for payment because i had already used it to recharge another vodafone mobile number!!!

Been with them 6 weeks would love to get out. Had no service on 3 different days in that that calls drop out. Took them 5 working days to port my number from 3 (same company) promised first month free access for inconvenience (never delivered) suppose to $10 credit of $69 cap every month also and only got it the first month not second. Promised another free month cause of error did not get that either!!!!!
Was with 3 for five years not one drama. Vodafone is one BIG drama

I'm both with 3 and Vodafone, both has it's perks and downside. Coverage wise I think 3 catered for me the most especially in my area. I live 10 minutes away from the city and I barely get any 3G coverage with Vodafone, it's either I'm on EDGE or worse GSM (seriously GSM?), it's quite inconvenient because I have a blackberry and most of the time the BIS is inactive because of the coverage and I happen to use my phone for work purposes. Sometimes my phone calls drops out and calling takes a while or sometimes it doesn't even connect. It gets irritating after a while.

I made the move to Vodafone because I though it would be better since they were a bigger company than 3 and their coverage is supposedly wider. I haven't had any other problems, when I want to make a few changes, just do it online on MY VODAFONE, saves you time and hassle talking to the call centre representatives.

I expected the coverage to be better though, for it's standards.

They have charged my credit card twice within a couple of days and are still sending me reminders that my account is overdue. I have rung a numerous amount of times and emailed. I cannot get through and am very p..... off. I always pay my bills on time and to have a company saying that I am overdue due to there problems is really annoying. I just hope I don't get a bad credit rating out of this. I have been with Vodafone for many years and because of the customer service due to this error I think I will be moving unless they do something to right this wrong.

After 45 mins CS Vodafone tried to tell me how to configure IE, I explained that I have been constantly have 3G problems not IT issues, I am a IT employee so I know what I am doing. I told the CS that maybe Vodafone has sucked the bandwith out of 3G by the Ashes LIVE service. Strangee how most of the network trouble seems to have been occurring in the lead up. I cnnot connet 3G only hit and miss at GPRS at 59bps thats bits per second.!!!

Vodafone data coverage is the most useless for me as in my monthly payment keeps on increasing because of using data from other connection, and half the time it says no service. What the use of having Iphone if you cant use the net? Just waiting for my freaking contract to finish.

Running my own business from the road I depend on having access to the internet and phone calls. Horribly slow downloads and constant dropouts have caused me a lot of stress and pain. I'm at the beginning of a 2 year $99 plan and need to get out.

i had put up with vodafone for 2years plus. singed into a 24 month contract.
I had absolute terrible reception mosttimes having to walk outside of any building to make a call. all other networks worked in side those buildings. further more it was ALWAYS hard to hold a conversation as the line would break up stutter and drop in and out. Customer service from vodafone is the worst i have ever come across, i have been on hold for hours at a time. I was still getting billed once i discontinued service from them.
I changed providers and it has changed my mobile world, I don't know why i didn't do it sooner....

I have 3 numbers with voda and have got accustomed to the bad reception and lack of service in store with any questions.

But recently one of my contacts had expired so i needed to notify voda that i wanted it terminated. 1 in store visit and 3 daily calls later
I called keyed in all my info joined the que. was told 35 min was the eta to wait. then after 40 min my phone cut out.

the next day i tried again but this time using the option to get a call back from voda. all i got was a voicemail saying i had missed there call

day 3 after 1.5 hours on the phone and talking to 3 different people who i gave all my info to every time and said they all could help with my simple request of closing the account i finally got put threw to someone who could action this very simple request but then tried to sell me a wireless internet card at which point i express my disappointment and frustration.

This was finally done but i had to wait another month as they had gone over the bill cycle at this stage 4 days after i first attempted to cancel this number

I went to a three shop to get the new iphone 4 about 2-3 months ago. Wanted to get Three line but the representative told me three and vodafone is the same company now and was being assured that they are the same and use the same infrastucture(network is the same). And i was also being told that its pointless to get Three line because Three will eventually become Vodafone and they will rebrand all Three network to Vodafone in a matter of time. I have another three line and if you compare both, vodafone network fail big time. I occassionally suffer drop out calls, no reception and unable to surf the net.

Ive beeen a loyal vodsfone customer for 7 years. but since they merged with 3 they are hopeless, constant drop outs slow internet broadband depsite being in a 3g area!!! lousy signal.and customer service 90% of the time dont know how to help and the automated lara Gee whizz talk about dumb or what cant get anything right or put u thru to the right place. Only way to get to talk with a human being at the customer service is to tell lara u've had ur phone stolen!!!

I am trying to run my business with a vodafail phone. I am constatly being cut of from existing and prospective clients. It seems as if i am hanging up on them. I need tto call people back more than once to have a conversation. And sometimes clients just do not re answer phone.

Also the coverage has gotten so bad i cant even make calls from inside of my home for most of the day, and i work from home!

i had some connection issues in where I was living on the 25th Nov 2010, this was on the day that I was going overseas for a holiday... i can't contact friends and family members. That sucks!!!! I had to drive out to another suburb at anytime of day just to get a reception!!!!!! and I can't even call customer service. What gives man????

I made the mistake of taking 3 contracts, 1 for me, and 2 weeks later, 2 for my sons. Constant call drop outs are my main complaint - many times a day i would recieve calls, only to lose them, or not be able to make calls at all, and when we had the fixed drop out for hours a few weeks ago, I made numerous calls, only to have customer service drop my calls (and they wernt from my mobile!) My sons were left stranded on that day, and I had no way of finding where they were - and when I rang to complain, all Ive had is "very busy, try again later". Due to the reasons I need MY mobile, I cancelled my contract, at a hefty price, which wasnt discounted due to my reasons or unsatisfaction. If I could afford to, id be cancelling the other 2 straight away, but this isnt an option.
I have tried to call, but can never get a person on the phone (the longest I waited was 43 minutes) and my emails to complaints dept have been ignored - no response.
Upgrades have been in the works for so long, but as far as Im concerned, its too little, too late -

Over the last 2 weeks there has been at least 3 days where I havent had any signal and as I live in country WA I usually have to stand in the middle of a road just to get a decent enough signal to have a conversation it's completely unacceptable.

I live 10 minutes by car from the epicentre of Perth city. It's a residential suburb (ie no tall buildings on either side blocking signal) and my phone is more often than not, set to 'searching' in the reception bar. Its a freak occurrence for me to actually receive a call in my own home! Which is pathetic, particularly when you are expecting a call regarding job offers. Very disappointed vodafone. Particularly pissed that I have 18 months left on this god damn contract. Will not be coming back, thats for sure.

Constant cut outs / drop outs. No data connection although clearly connected to 3G. Voicemail unavailble over 50% of the itme. Told by sales that I was on an unlimited plan $99 and scored a bill for $250 for one month. Main thing that drives me crazy is erratic coverage. The overall coverage is very limited but even in areas in the direct vicinity of a tower the signal drops out mid conversation. Will be happy to have my contract cancelled but dont want to have to pay the fees to break the contract.

I just moved into this house about 500 meters from Tonkin Highway, in the house and just outside the house hardly any signal, yet I walk to a park that is adjacent to the house and walk about 100 meters away from the house, reception is perfect,It just makes me mad that we are paying top dollars for a service we're not receiving

1. After 2 months, my phone was sent in for repair as the screen kept freezing, I couldn't answer calls, the line was interferred with, the line would drop out, I couldn't get on the net.
2. Can NEVER EVER get thru to Vodafone on the phone lines and the ques are massive in store (obviously EVERYONE is there to complain as they cant get thru to customer service either!!!).
3. Another 2 months down the track my phone is back in for repairs for the same issues - I got told it has to be sent in 3 times for them to actually replace the phone or look into the issue.
4. I cant view my email bills online and they charge to send them out to you... ummmm, does anyone else see a problem with this!?

29 Dec 2010 04:27:48 PM: this is the case with all the other providers...it is not vodafone that gives u another fone, but the manufacturer...so it wouldnt make a difference if u were with optus or telstra...the policy would be the same.
31 Dec 2010 10:39:56 AM: You are also overlooking the fact that there are two products here that you purchased, a plan from Vodafone and a Handset, the handset has a warranty that is honored and maintained by the manufacturer, you want a new phone outside of the period of which Vodafone is allowed to replace it under that agreement then talk to the manufacturer directly.

Bought our 11 year old a phone to give him a bit of security and independence when he is with his friends and put him on the Vodafone network with us ... pffft - what a waste of time !! The reception is ridiculous when there is any, calls are constantly dropping out and you we can't guarantee that SMS will get to him or that we will receive them from him in a timely manner. Vodafone has definitely failed to provide us with the peace of mind we thought we would have !!

I have many complaints as a 1/2 year contract holder to share with you all today, how lovely this company really is.

I am 20 Male from Country W.A I was signed into a Contract with Vodafone without them checking I had a job in the first place (I don't work and my parents have to pay my Bill) so they gave me a contract I myself had no income to pay but that was fine. This was my first problem, I was pretty much TALKED INTO a contract when I went into buy a PREPAID Handset and the sales person from ARMADALE W.A talked me into it so I went with it not knowing how I was going to pay for it, they apparently ran a Credit Check and some how I was earning money when I never had a job for the past 4 years? I still have a another 11 sad months ahead on my $114.00 contract.

The next problem I had was constant Service Drop outs some times days without reception, I would ring up and get Notes applied to my account and sometimes was offered a credit for not being able to use my Unlimited Cap Plan of $114.00 a month I can't even pay yet they gave me the contract LOL?

The next problem I then had was, more constant network interference slow data speeds on GSM and on 3G. Recently I had 3x Days in December without network coverage here, I rung customer support and sat on the phone for 3 hours at the Minimum trying to get through to these people to complain and get a credit applied to my account for the inconsistence (What happens if my car broke down or I was bitten by a snake working on the farm) I had no phone to use and no service which is a service I pay for each month. The next thing I was told that a $50.00 credit would be applie to my January 6th 2011 Bill and even recieved a Text Message from 1555 Saying it was applied (THIS IS YET TO HAPPEN) I then waited a day and still no phone service and I got a call from a foreign lady I spoke with yesterday saying due to my 3x days network outage my bill of $117.19 would be wavered and paid this month due 6th January 2011. I still owe this money and no credits have been applied to my account. They pretty much lied to me in person and yet I still have poor service. I feel so low in the dumps with this service I sat here and cried last week and asked how much it was to cancel the contract I couldn't even afford to pay in the first place it was like $1,000+ to cancel it as I have 11 months left finishing on the 11th November 2011 which is painful for someone who has no job or full time work.

I also have another problem with Vodafone AU the list goes on, this time something that says "!@#$ Off" in my opinion... They Vodafone AU shut down my nearest Vodafone Retail Store which was in Armadale where I got my Plan Contract from, they just shut the doors so now instead of driving 230 Kilometers to go to a Store I now need to drive 265 to the nearest in Cannington Carousel shopping centre, to me this says "WE DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS" And it was the nearest store for all COUNTRY W.A Citizens to visit!

Another problem is, Vodafone recently joined partners with 3 Hutchinson Australia!? VODAFONE NEVER SENT OUT INFORMATION, OR ADVISED CONTRACT PERSON/S ME AND 4 OF MY FRIENDS of the joining partnership this was done behind customers backs and not mentioned until it was DONE!

My LAST Painful complaint is my Christmas Present for 2010. My mobile phone broke a week ago and my parents got me a Nokia C3 Graphite Handset ADVERTISED TO HAVE WORKING WI-FI Connection, after exchanging the handset 3x times before Xmas Eve I could NOT get a working handset and had to travel 100 Kilometers each day for 3x days to keep returning the handset! THE HANDSET IS FAULTY Nokia know about the WI-FI Problem and Nokia have released a 7.20 Firmware Update whilst Vodafone have only released up to 4.65 Firmware for the HANDSET Which means THE WIFI STILL DOES NOT WORK But Vodafone are selling these handsets at $99.00 with WIFI! I tried 3x handsets and after trying 3 and travelling 300+ Kilometers a 54 Kilometer trip each way I was offered NO REFUND By Woolworth but to have the handset sent away!

I can goto places that claim to have full coverage and my phone will always switch between 3G/GSM/Emergency Signal

im also paying the extra $10 warranty, and i lost my back cover and went to the vodafone store i purchased my phone from, they told me to contact vodafone hotline, i asked if they couldnt just order a new one in, they said they dont deal with that, in the end i bought a new back cover for $3 off the internet, the warranty is definatly not worth it.

15 months ago I purchased 3 x iPhone 3's at Vodafone in Hay St Mall. One was for a contractor who whould be with us for 12 months. We specifically asked if we ported her existing mobile number across to Vodafone that we would be able to swap it out for another number when her contract with our company was complete. On that basis we did the deal. I've been trying for 4 months to make the transition and give the contractor her phone number back. Vodafone wont do it without breaking the contract and forcing a payout EVEN THOUGH I WANT THE CONTRACT TO CONTINUE ... ALL I NEED TO DO IS CHANGE THE NUMBER! Vodafone's customer service say I must visit the store ... the stores say that "Customer service will say anything" (That is a direct quote). Meanwhile, this is costine me over $1,000. If anyone from Vodafone actually is reading this, then I welcom a call from a real, live person who can action a simple request that isn't even going to cost you a customer.

I was a Vodafone customer for years, and then moved to Eaton had absolutely no signal what-so-ever with Vodafone. Full signal in Bunbury, but none 5 minutes down the road? What the hell? Vodafone also advised me that there was no plans to upgrade the services available in my area. Well shit, $89p/m contract for 2 years...with a service I'm paying for but can't use? I don't think so!

Hello Telstra!
Better phones, cheaper cap plans and a service that actually works!

I had lots of drop outs and reception problems but much better after latest iPhone upgrade. I wonder how much Vodafone is really to blame for all the problems. Can we get some kind of link with iPhone software versions? And don't get sucked into the latest class action by the Sydney lawyers. Class actions are a scam that make the lawyers rich. It is big business for lawyers in the US.

I am at the tail end of my Vodafone wireless broadband contract of 2 years. After this experience I will never use wireless again. It constantly drops out even though I am in an area with excellent reception and don't get me started on their pathetic transmission speeds. I recently made the mistake of going 2.6Gb over my 5Gb limit and was charged an extra $267 for the privilege! I no longer call the customer help centre (a ridiculous name if ever there was one) as I was always connected to bloody Vodafone Egypt who were invariably rude and stupid. For the past 18 months I have actually walked into the Perth city store if I ever need anything done that requires a vaguely competent homo sapiens with English as a first language. The pain ends on 2 February 2011. Fantastic!

30 Dec 2010 03:42:12 PM: Nokia OVI Suite says there is a 7.20 Firmware update you loser, and guess what it's up to providers to release the 7.20 Firmware based on the carrier and its Splash Screens and own Firmware/Bloatware they add into the handsets. Vodafone have released 3x Firmware updates up until 4.65 but no 7.20 which fixes the problem yet. You are obviously a TROLL and a Noob. There is no work out here in the country and LEARN: HOWTO - Use Nokia Ovi Store and how the updates actually work. You can't update a VODAFONE BRANDED Phone to generic Nokia C3 Firmware even if it's UNLOCKED because it has a ROM ID that is Vodafones that can not be updated until Vodafone release the software as a carrier for the handset you fucking noob.

I can usually get txts in the house but can never receive a call. I have to go outside and stand near the rubbish bins (appropriate) or get in my car and start driving up the street. My daughter, who is with Telstra, doesn't have problems with reception in the house.

I live in Sorrento and since being with Vodaphone I can only get reception if I go out the front and start walking down the road. I can send messages and receive them in the house, but no phone calls. Very frustrating and hopefully will never need to call in an emergency situation. When I first started the contract with Vodaphone I did tell me of my problem. They were sympathetic, but sorry not much you can do about it.

I used to have full service a few months ago, now i generally have 1 bar with no 3G.

Vodafone Tech Support have continuously told me there are no network issues.
I even read the press release from one of the heads of Vodafone who acknowledged the problem...
the call center worker hung up on me!!
Last night it took me 20 hours to recieve a picture message.

I am currently in the process of going thru the TIO. They've past the deadline to resolve it tho...

Lara is a cow, the customer service is rubbish, 40 minute wait the other day only to be told that the 'Faults' team is closed, crappy reception, dropped calls.

The good news for me? Contract expires 19th January.

I have been a vodafone customer for over 3 years simply. I've stayed so long because i've also been locked in for 2 years on contract and I thought all the phone companies in Australia were as unreliable as each other. There was I time I found it easy to call vodafone customer care and recieve a real person who actually knew what they and I were talking about. Unfortunatley these days a long gone. As a vodafone customer we are now battling with constant drop outs, regular black spots in highly populated areas, irregualar and inaccurate charging, constant mess ups on our plan details and serious interferrence in reception.

But where are we left? Vodafone seem free to balls us around as most of us are locked into contracts and their costomer service center is incappable of providing assistance! Many of us would have recieved an apology over the 4 or so hours we all lost in coverage a few weekends ago; this apology was followed up by free unlimited calls on the following saturday. However who did that actually help!? Most of us are on capped plans anyway, which we are unlikely to go over, let alone go over on a saturday outside of business or peak phone times!!

Now this is just their phone lines... try their broadband. It happens to be the slowest and most frustrating connection I have ever experienced with terrible download rates, spontaneous and regular drop out and constant error messages. Not to mention that it appears to be magically eating up all my credit very quickly!

I await for your solution vodafone!

I took out a mobile Broadband contract just over a year ago. When I set it up I lived in the Northern suburbs, but then moved to East Perth; a 5 minute walk to the CBD, and coverage is now hopeless. So my service went from average when i was 2oKm out of the city, to bloody awful less than 1km from the CBD. Go figure...

poor network coverage, delayed text and voice mail messages, poor customer service in stores in regard to assistance with repair work or claims, poor attitude to long term customers.
I have been with vodafone for the best part of ten years, where they used to be competitive and try to maintain present customers with special offers and deals, now they make no effort at all.
In that time also the network coverage has never improved in the slightest.
Way to lose customers vodafone!!!! soon you'll be just like telstra, but at least telstra have their network coverage better sorted than you.

My family has four phones with vodafone, and since 3 has been sharing the receptor towers we have often not got any service at all. Messages and calls don't get through to our phones (randomly of course), but my biggest problem is the double charging for text messages. This problem has been going on for a couple of years even though the vodafone customer service people say it cannot be possible. I can't send the same text to the same person twice within a second of each other. I wish they could explain the double up and look into the problem, but they insist it is not a problem on their part.

Ive been with Vodafail for a bit now. Currently on $69 plan iPhone 3GS, and only have 6 months left on my contract. Initially i thought everything was fine, moderate reception but that is ok. However recently it has become unbearable. In my own home which has a tower nearby i only get 1-2 bars reception at best, the rest of the time my little iPhone tells me there is 'no service'. The same goes for when im on the road to work, uni or friends houses.

I have watched jealously as people around me with the exact same phone (so i know its not a hardware problem) with Optus and Telstra load the internet and msgs instantly, while I am still just waiting for the first page to open up.

It is completely woeful that this service is offered in this day and age, and that they are allowed to get away with it. It is daylight robbery at its best - I am paying a contract that cant be used to its fullest, yet I am told there 'is no widespread problem'

i remember 10-15 years ago when vodafone tryed to market mobile phones as a "young hip new age thing" FAIL. Mobile phones were considered a business tool at the time.

No Service on minute then service then 5min later no service, call fail, delay of 8 hrs for text messages to get to me when someone who received the same message got it sitting next to me 8 hrs earlier WHAT THE!!!! A whole afternoon without service - then I get a day of free calls but what about all the business calls we missed. People constantly tell me they are getting "this phone is not in a mobile area or turned off" when it is sitting on my kitchen bench. We have two vodafone IPHONES in our house and both are giving the same inconsistant service. Trapped in a contract with a hopeless carrier - come on VODAPHONE please pick up your game.

I am in a rural city with more than 50,000 people yet I can't get 3g performance, when I go to a mining town with about 10% of the population guess what, my iphone shows 3G. In this day and age when a place with 50,000+ people can't get 3g they can get ****ed. Not to mention that if I go to the beach 5km from my house I lose all reception. Also if I am on the wrong side of the mountain here again no signal, yet I am about 1km from the ****ing tower. Finally just did a trip recently and in 2000km I got signle once. What happens if I am in an accident. I got my phone because supposedly they were a great company. I wish I could give it back.

I have had vodafone Mobile Broadband for 2 years, but in just the last few weeks the signal drops out 4-5 times in an hour or there is a failure to recognise the connection device. It now takes me three times as long to do a simple email! Very frustrating!!!

My partener has an iphone 4 though vodafone. When I ordered the phone online for him I requested insurance as it just seemed like the smart thing to do. Well the order got changed as a customer service representive contacted my partener and re-did the order as he could get it sent out faster this order was suppose to be exactly the same as the other order with insurance included. So that was all fine and good he got the his iphone then about 2 weeks later my partner was mugged while walking home from the train station. A police report was filed etc the next day I called vodafone to find about the insurance and having the phone replaced. Turns out who ever re-did the order place the phone on a business plan which means it can't have insurance. The basically told my partner well we're not going to replace your phone you've just started a 24 month contract and now you will have no phone. Well we complained after many phone calls they offered my partner to pay for half the iphone ($500) and they would give us a new one. We thought that wasn't good enough so we contacted the TIO 3 or 4 days later they contacted my partener offered to give him the phone but he still had to pay the insurance premium ($300) and they would change the plan to a personal plan with insurance. From when he got mugged to getting a new phone took 3 weeks. The phone seems not to have too many problems with dropping out probabley because we live very close to perth but we had one day where my partener had no service for nearly 2 hours meaning he missed a call from his work telling him not to come in for that day and he travelled 1/2 into the city to find out he wasn't needed. Absolutely ridiculous. I won't be getting any services through vodafone and I feel terrible that I suggested my partener sign up to vodafone because it seemed like they had the best plan.

On Saturday, 11th December, from around 1pm to 3pm the Vodafone network failed for around 3 to 4 hours.
It was announced that Vodafone would compensate their customers for this network failure. This has not happened in anyway since my current recharge...
I am a loyal prepaid $49 per month Vodafone customer.
I would have appreciated at least $50 extra bonus credit for the inconvenience after my 12th December, account recharge, which has occasionally been the Vodafone administration procedure.

My friend sent me through a picture and i recieved it 5 hours later.I get voice messages but the phone never rings. If i have a problem most times i can't understand what they are saying "If i can get through". I am told by vodafone that i am close to a tower so the service should be great . Sadly i struggle to get 2 bars and often while making a call it drops out. When i say drops out let me give and example.It took 1 hour for a 10 min conversation due to endless drop outs and i use it for business.I only have 3 months left on my plan Yippeeee !!!

Can't get recepetion in my home, my sister's home or my brother's. Constantly dropping out and don't recieve MMS or texts till days later. The GPS doesn't work as I can never get reception~ I worry that if I or someone was in an accident, my phone would prevent contact... Not to mention what is this stupid PXT crap? why can't we send normal MMS's to other providers?

Over the past few months Vodafone's signal has gone to SHIT!! I pay money to be able to use my phone but more often than not I can't even get one bar of signal at home or in the city so what is the point of having a phone if you cant use it. I went into the Vodafone store the other day to complain and the guy told me that there is no signal issues and when I told him it wasn't only me having this problem he said that there are a lot of people at the moment complaining just to get out of contract. Vodafone just need to acknowledge there is a problem and fix it!!!

Currently i am paying $59 cap for an Iphone4 which gives lot of call dropouts and could not receive the messages even though i am in the full network area. Spoke to the customer care 8 times just to find out that i need to repair my phone via three store. I am in regional area where i cant use the promised 1gb internet free usage, Otherwise I would be charged extra dollars on that. At the end of two years i would be paying them 1500$ just to receive 1/3 of the calls made to me.

I'm not a fan of vodafone- especially given calls go through to VM when i've got reception. My suggestion to anyone who's still in a contract and doesn't want to break it is this: go down to the lowest possible plan you can and set up a permanent diversion from your vodafone number to telstra/optus number. From the plans i've been on vodafone just counts a call diversion the same as if you're making a call (so you can use your 'cap' minutes). Then when your contract is up, port out.

The signal always drops out. Text messages take 6-8 hours to get to you. Your get your credit taken without service. You can't get service from a Vodafone store
You can't talk to anyone in Australia at any time.

My internet connect is pathetic, one or no bars normal. My credit card not accepted when i tried to recaharge over the net. The vouchers have been 75% dodgey, which means going back it the vodafone stall just to have them tell you to ring it in. Being put on hold with customer service just to run out of credit on my mobile phone. Oh and my presonal favourite...not being able to access my account even thought i know the password and the six digit pin!

Vodafone advertise that all calls from vodafone to vodafone and 3 (since merger) are free. However I still get charged everytime I call my daughter on 3. When I asked vodafone to explain they said if my daughter needs to sign up on a new contract and then I won't get charged. Clearly false advertising if you ask me.

im sick of my reception dropping out and not being able to understand the call centre i want to speak to an australian im sick of my phone dropping out all the time and i live fairly close to the tower i left vodapone years ago and went to another service ( Great ) but decided to give vodapone another chance when i found out they had put a new tower in our town ... great now im still stuck with poor service for the next two years i cant just go into a shop for help there is no back up here like in the cities

I have held an account my three accounts with Vodafone for approx 3 years, only recently changing to another network. The three accounts, however, have a credit balance on them. Vodafone have decided that even though the money is not theirs, they are refusing any attempts (now ongoing for over 3 months) to refund over $220 owed to me. Hello, Telephone Ombudsman...I''ve had enough of dealing with incompetence.

I have just moved from NSW to Perth & am hoping coverage is better than what I received in Wamberal. Constant drop outs in the Wamberal & Erina region causing double the necessary phone calls to be made, no reception in my work building in Wyong & delayed messages. Let's hope that there will be improvements with coverage as this is what I was promised by the sales staff when signing up again to a contract... Silly mistake. Id just like to get out of contract & go to another provider.. Ie Telstra that provides reliable coverage... Or pay my monthly bill based on the percentage of time I'm actually within range!? So frustrating!

I run 3 businesses and my phone is integral to this. My home office seems to be in a dead zone, with calls going straight to message bank when I still have a bar or two of signal. Best I can get is 2 bars. One in 5 calls drop out. Usually unable to connect with voicemail. Have spent waaay too much time on hold. Only Optus was worse for hold times. I too am stuck in a contract for my iphone.
