Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

you would spend hours waiting to speak to the customer service on phone, then take long time explaining the problem, they promise to fix the problem, you wait a few weeks, nothing is done, you call back , spend hours to get to speak to a person, only to discover that they have no record of your prior calls, can you match that!

Pathetic. I pay $80 a month and speeds are worse than dial up. I'll be switching to Telstra in 2 months.

Sent vodafone an mail to complain. I hot a reply back 3 days later and in their email it stated if I did not reply back within 120 minutes they would assume my complaint was finalised. That's right cause I has nothing better to do than wait by my computer for 4 days so I can reply back within 120 minutes. I guess if I did reply back would I have to wait another 4 days for the second reply?

My pocketwifi doesn't well very well. Rephrased: very poorly. If you are in the Monash area do not get one or you will be travelling back in time and surfing the net at dial up speed.

I acquired a mobile phone on a $29 a month plan about a year ago. I was paying insurance as well. At sometime in April the phone stopped working altogether. I could not get it up at all. Tried recharging but nothing would happen as I continually pressed the on button. I was continuing to receive invoices for a service I was not getting. I later left my phone with my belongings in a temporary storage facility and then went missing. They are now demanding full payment of the contract which has been terminated"
maybe you should have taken it into a VODAFONE store to get it repaired dickhead.. and when it went missing you coudd have clamied insurance.. n00b

"If the creator of this joke of a website spent as much time attempting to solve the issue with Vodafone rather than putting together this sad excsue for a website, perhpas he or she would be much better off. "
Contact Slater and Gordon to start a class action. There is plenty of support from this web site.

"Perhaps you should do some research into the other telcos...
Telstra are always having outages, Optus have had 3 MAJOR network outages (meaning completely no service at all) in the last 12 months in one state alone!
I'll stick with Vodafone thanks...a world leader and the only truly genuine mobile telco in Australia."

My phone drops out every 2-3 minutes. People can't get through to me and when they leave a voicemail i get it 6-12 hours later and the same for my text messages. I don't recieve them at all or i recieve them 12 hours later. The internet takes FOREVER. Voda-crap-house has changed my sim and told me to use 2G. Screw that. I have three months left in my contract, does anyone know if it'll be easy to get out of this???
540 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is hopeless at 17 Dec 2010 07:16:04 PM
Bitterly regret switching from Optus to a 2 year contract with Vodafail. I thought my new phone was the problem for poor reception, dropped calls etc. Took it back for service but it's no better. Vodafail's network is shockingly poor in many areas of Canberra. I've just spent 2 weeks in Perth and it was just as bad there.

I can't conduct business because people can't call me, and when they do calls drop out. Vice versa.
Also; 3G, I can't even say it's working because it just constantly sits at the loading screen. I've had this problem not only in ACT, but NSW and QLD.
As soon as they have performed their 5 day investigation *ugh* I'm switching to Telstra. They may have poor customer service, but at least they have coverage!

436 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is off the hook (literally) at 17 Dec 2010 04:07:26 PM
i'm with 3 mobile, already switching to telstra (thanks for the free phone telstra!) 3 mobile is owned by hutchinson who bought out vodafone. the lady in india told me switching from the $49 cap to the $19 cap "would be suitable," less than 2 weels after the initial "normal" delay of switching caps happened and i get an sms saying that my bill (usually under $100) is now over $400 due to going over my cap plan. bill shock horror.
free mobile to mobile calls are available but all telcos won't tell you about the apps that are available that transfer the voice signals directly from phone to phone until it gets to the destination phone using technology similar to peer to peer networks.
i've noticed the public relations guys from vodafone have started posting messages on the news story mentioned about vodafone's terrible service pretending to be vodafone customers and saying that they've had great service and no drop outs (some even saying they have great coverage in the outback??)
they ought to to know their i.p. addresses are logged lol

419 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is awful at 17 Dec 2010 03:49:19 PM
Somebody do something about these shonky operators. Getting people into contracts, yet not deliver on the service they promise while charging full fees and then not having any access to a call centre that is already in India and which has a different department for virtually every different question so that, if you're lucky enough to get through (which is rare) you will get transferred so many times that in the end you give up. Very smart, calculating business at the expense of the customer.

Vodafone agreed to call me back to confirm refund of money owed. The call never came. Its been two days and still no response. Vodafone has my money and I want my money back now!!!!

I am not able to make call from my mobile in my home, office or bus. My wife's phone (three) works very well at my home and office (took for testing). Friends call me on my landline saying that cannot connect me. no missed call, no message on my phone. I went to vodafone shop. Repiared the mobile , changed the sim. Same old thing. Completely hopeless vodafone.
194 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Really Really Poor at 17 Dec 2010 01:57:55 PM
I have had a contract with their mobile network for the past 8 months and have repeatedly have series of blank weeks where it just won't connect. I live in Sydney's CBD! And calling their helpline is possibly one of the most frustrating experiences ever - dealing with the excrutiating Lara until you're put onto some well meaning person in a call centre who can't actually help you. Literally, i've heard "im sorry, there is an issue with your suburb at the moment, but we're onto it". And they still charge you the monthly fee for a service that barely works! Truly bafflingly bad service.
156 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Eppic at 17 Dec 2010 01:47:28 PM
Vodafone is useless. I am disgusted by Lara the stupid robot that takes my calls. the network is utterly shit and im sick and tired of dropped calls.
74 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is at 17 Dec 2010 01:16:57 PM
Vodafone you could have a big legal case to answer. If I get any more phone drop outs etc...during work hours I am going t spend the money to take legal action as your service is my ability to function at work terribly limited. You are going to suffer massive customer losses if you don't sort your network out now!
63 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is at 17 Dec 2010 01:10:44 PM
Yesterday I was on hod for 1 hour and 59 minutes. I was transferred though 3 different people, none of which could help or even listen to the prooblems I was experiencing. the 4 operator finally spoke to me and admitted "yes, it is pretty bad service in NSW right now." ..."but hold in there and it will improve in january"
In the mean time, will Vodaphone pay for me to use another netowrk so I can make or recieve calls from customers???????????? will they refund my monthly bille since september??????????? No. I doubt it.
