Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

10150 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is indescribably bad at 3 Jan 2011 05:41:43 PM
Im less than 2km from Adelaide, and my coverage is appalling at best. I moved from 3 to Vodafone and the receptin improved, and noww 3 are Vodfone it has returned to it low 3 values.

In response to this issue, I was asked to stay home lst Friday as techos would be coming out to see what the issue was - no techo's no friends from MMumbai calling, just $700 down the drain for not going to work.

I called today only to be told this was a "low service area" and basically, they would reduce my $99 unlimited cap by $30 for 3 months and compensate me for $50 for my wased day at home - that might be the average wage in Mumbai, but that is 1/2 an hour to me.

I'm once again heading back to the TIO, where I willget my day refunded and should be able to get a commesurate rate for the crap service provided.

After this it it to ACME, or to ACCC, what Vodafone is providing is a misleading service, these international telcos come in and are not prepared for the stranglehold Telstra has on our system and offer a service that can barely be described as adequate - they should be constrained to evplain to all potential customers what the quality of the lines are like. There should be a inimum standard for telcos in Australia - made easier by a split of Telstra's wholesale and retail arms.

There are few products that reach our markets that do not do what they say they do - why is it that Telcos are allowed to operate in this way

If youre having no luck with the powerless fools in Mumbai, call TIO - they give you a reference nuber which is the key to getting the compensation you ddeserve - if they cannot iprove their systems, lets bleed them dry so they are unable to operate in Australia. Democracy mmeans choice, lets gut these feckless bastards with are our choice
4 Jan 2011 09:31:24 AM: Unless we are in different universes,I very much doubt you will get one iota of compensation via the industry funded TIO, no matter what case and how much evidence you out to them. Not only that, you can expect to spend plenty of time and money as they do what they do, and you will not be compensated for that.In case you want to pursue it, I strongly recommend you keep really accurate records of all communication with the TIO and Voodoofone.
