Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

11283 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Immoral and dysfunctional at 9 Jan 2011 07:28:58 AM
One day i got sick of my old phone as we all do so i decided to get a brand new phone from vodafone and i was as happy as a pig in shit. Only it wasn't long before content soon turned to contempt as i was forced to wait days on end for my number to transfer (i was previously with telstra...now i'm sorry) and to have my SIM card activated in their network.
At first i was happy to wait but that was day one, day two i grew curious as to why nothing has happened. Day three i became slightly lesser of the happy larry i was a few days ago but still held on to a forgiving grace and a blind hope of something that'll probably never happen. Day four i found myself deperately looking for an answer and asked for help at the store i bought i bought my phone from, being told it was a system fault and vodafone are tackling the issue so that it'd be fixed on the day, my spirits were lifted indeed so i persevered. Day 5...what? nothing? *facepalm*. Day 6...i wake up not in my bed but huddled in a lonely corner of my room where no light has ever touched it since the beginning of its days, i felt a fever creeping from behind ready to sap what remains of my vigor from my once beautifully sculpted body that has deteriorated into a lifeless skeleton, in the face of what appeared to be a singled out famine of technological communication with my teenage peers...i'm afraid my youthful spirit died along with my teenage stereotype in which i felt so at home...
Day...ugh...the days were a blur, it no longer mattered to me...without text, without phonecalls, without mobile facebook and the many thrills it brings with its trivial gossip that are somewhat gratifying to hear of as well as the stupid but "so true" facebook groups to join...i thought i would be dead very soon.
It was only when i got this brand new computer today that i am alive today, i am terribly grateful. surfing through hundreds of facebook updates following days of starvation was the most transcending sensation a youth like me could experience other than most other physical endorsements...but yes it felt good but i wasn't complete for i had no working phone plan.
then...i receive this mail from vodafone and these money lusting corporate pigs are happy to squeeze me for my money, i am being charged for a dysfunctional phone plan. o...m...g...
no.
