Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

13019 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is iphone = ipod at 20 Jan 2011 05:14:40 AM
Vodafail has turned my iphone into a ipod. All those amazing features that made me fall in love with my iphone, are now either not working or to slow to use. I now use my iphone for listening to music, only.

Who is responsable for this? Vodafail acquires 3 mobile, move customers over to vodafail network, but do nothing in terms of infrastructure to support this influx of users. As result, all existing users are left with iphone bricks. We signed up for 24 month contracts based on 3G, which is not being provided. So again, who - not the company name, not the merger, no excuses - who the F*** gave the approval for this merger, without having the infrastructure in place??? They should, no questions, ask be fired.

More to the point, "fixing" this issue is not an acceptable solution. Compensation, at this stage, is a must.

As of today, I am cancelling my vodafail contract and moving to Optus. Telestra has been a joke since it went private and now vodafail is joke. Let this be a lesson, excessive greed (acquisition of 3 mobile, taking on this huge influx of new customers) has blown-up in your face. Best of luck Vodafail - with PR - legals - etc..... for your screwed.
20 Jan 2011 06:55:04 AM: good luck with Optus - numerous black spots with phone reception and slower than dialup internet speeds. At least you should have plenty of songs to listen to while you wait for internet pages to load with optus.
20 Jan 2011 10:52:31 AM: I know that feeling oh so well.. Love my iphone but it's nothing more than a glorified ipod.
Have been on the phone for a week to them.. their answer.. lets give you a new handset! I'll try it.. if it doesn't work.. I'm cancelling my contract!
21 Jan 2011 02:22:17 AM: Yes I am kinda pissed with Vodafone too, but if Vodafone do "fix" this issue, I would be more than happy to stay with them, without compensation (although cheaper rates would always be welcomed!) I just want reception again. I find it difficult to understand how a year ago, I dont think I ever lost reception. Now finding reception is a chore. Fix this, and I might sign up with them again. If they dont fix this within the next 6 months, they have lost me.
