Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

14106 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is EPIC at 22 Jan 2011 06:37:55 AM
Bought a brand new pre paid SIM in QLD. Had not had a pre pay before (always had a contract) so I didnt' realise I had to register my phone. When I tried a few months later to set up roaming I had a HUGE problem.. . My phone was registered to another person and I couldn't change any of the set up etc as I didn't know the password, secret question etc. I have tried for about 18 months to explain the situation to Vodafone. My phone was registered by someone 6 months before I even purchased the SIM. Even though I have my receipt to prove this Vodafone just state if I don't know the user details they can't help me. They suggested that perhaps someone at the shop had registered my phone and I should go back there and talk to them. I was living in WA at the time and wasn't exactly going to fly to QLD to sort it out. Phoned the shop I purchased it at, they don't register customers SIM cards.
I could just get a new SIM but the number is catchy and hey why the hell should I??? It's not my mistake. On investigation it is pretty easy to register someone elses SIM card and unwittingly create all sorts of problems for the real SIM owner.
Throughout this mess Vodafone have basically said I have stolen someones SIM card. That makes me REALLY angry!!! GGRRRR Vodafone

Another grumble....Everytime I talk to someone they call me "K- ONE"....My initials are KL and obviously a lower case L looks like a One. HILARIOUS. "Yes K-One, how can we help you today"..."OK K ONE, I'm just going to place you on hold"
