Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

17657 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is 20/10 at 4 May 2011 09:46:50 AM
Yesterday afternoon and last night, for at least 6 hours, I could not receive or make any phone calls at all. My text, internet and email were all working, albeit slowly. I had 2 vodafone phones at my disposal and neither worked for calls, at all.
Not only was I unable to make and receive calls, to anyone, anywhere, my incoming calls were variously directed to my voicemail or just beeping out entirely. No missed or received calls were registered of course, so I would have had no idea who was trying to get through. I know for a fact that at least 3 voicemails were left for me yesterday, between midday and midnight - and yet I still have not received them at 9.45 am this morning.
As I was home alone, and I have no home phone, this was a COMPLETELY unacceptable state of affairs - if there had been an emergency, what could I have done??? No phone calls, from 2 phones.
I have taken screenshots of attempts to call out, and call failures, over a few hours period. Reception bars are fine, no problems there apparently...
This happens regularly to me, probably more regularly than I even realise as there is no outward indication that it's even occuring. I am usually informed by text from my partner that he can't get through to my phone, yet again...
So so so unacceptable Vodafail. I will be trying to terminate my contract for breach - I suppose I have to wait for my phone to start working again before I can call Vodafone though, convenient.

4 May 2011 03:50:26 PM: Immediately ask for a supervisor, and get angry (but do not swear or make personal attacks etc). My experience resulted in permission to terminate.
