Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

19056 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is rubbish!! at 4 Aug 2011 12:33:48 AM
Used to be with ThreeMobile for many years ... then after many network issues was transferred to Vodacrud, which they insisted was a 'far superior network'. Instantly noticed that Vodarubbish was far worse than Three.

While in Melbourne CBD I did have good signal .. BUT .. this didn't mean that I had good service. The internet data was soooooooooooooo slow. Webpages constantly timeout, cant access email etc. Their data backhauls must have been very congested -- what contention ratio are you running voda??

Call quality was like talking to a robot, providing that you could actually make a successful call. Another annoying thing was that I would get missed calls, even though it never rang. Tested this many times calling between 2 phones. Can't get a spare line eh?

If your looking for a new provider, take advice from everyone here ... don't be fooled by their pricing/marketing ... there is a reason why their network is so congested, and they will attempt to lock you in for 24months so that you get plenty of time fully experience the pain.

I'm glad to see that I was not the only one with phone issues. The tech support were always so confident that the service was working fine, and that 'my phone needed servicing'. What on earth needs to be serviced? Oil change, top up the fluids, check the spark plugs??!! These things are not serviceable, and any firmware/settings can be done from itunes or pushed from the network.

How on earth can they run a company like this? Why don't the industry regulators step in and put a STOP to all this? I think 24month contracts are a bad idea, and reflect a companies lack of confidence in their product (by locking you in). If you have a good product, your customers will stay! Alternatively, if your product is a Vodafail, then they will leave one way or another.

Since exiting the contract (big thanks Mr TIO), I have been on pre-paid with another provider. I only pay for what I use, if i need more then I recharge, else the money stays in my pocket. Best of all, no excess charges, no contract, can leave anytime!
