Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

3997 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Drop out/lack of coverage at 27 Dec 2010 05:07:53 PM
I have had so many issues with Vodafone; but the main two are - I signed up for one of the new beaut Netbooks for wireless internet on a laptop that is really portable. The laptop itself was great; the coverage and data speed were pathetic. Whenever I run Vodafone I had to talk to a person in Egypt who barely spoke english; and they would always tell me I am in a bad coverage area. Funny thing is I had taken it to so many places aside from my house 10kms from Brisbane CBD (been to Cairns, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane just to name a few). I guess Vodafone got sick of me ring up and the day I lost it and started yelling they put me straight through to disconnections. I got out of the contract after six months, was refunded part of my money for the months of poor service and had no early termination fee. I did have prepaid internet as well; and that was just as bad, but at least you can just stop using it. The lastest drama in the Vodafone problems was I had 3-4 days with none or sparatic coverage; occasionally I could made calls or send a text but that was pretty rare. I sent countless emails to Vodafone through the website because I couldn't ring from my mobile. The only response I got from Vodafone was detailed information on the GPRS/3G network areas (not really handy); they also advised me to check the website for outages, which I did and there were none in my area. At no point did a human from Vodafone ring me; which is deplorabe. At the time that all this was going on, ALL of the Vodafone (4 in total) sotres in my local area were closed for refurbishment so I couldn't go into a store; I did try and ring from a landline as well; but after 10 mins of waiting they hung up on me. I run a business using my mobile and over those 3-4 days I lost money because customers couldn't get through. I just really want to get out of my contract with no early exit fees. I'm currently waiting for Vodafone to make contact after lodging a complaint with the Telco Ombusman, but I'm not holding my breath
