Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

7082 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is EPIC-FAIL! Vodafone is Vodacrap! at 28 Dec 2010 05:23:57 PM
On Dec 8th, I first realised I had no service at work when I received the "Network Lost" message around 3:30pm. I didn't get reception til to after 4:30pm when I actually was at home. I wasn't overly annoyed, but I would finish work soon. I did log onto myvodafone at work to check if there were any network dropouts and of course, the page wouldn't load properly.
On Dec 9th, I arrived at work at 7:30am and went to phone my sister- lo and behold- "No Service" and that stupid message of "Network Lost. Your selected cellular network is no longer available. You can choose a different network in Settings." So I turned off my iphone. Didn't work. I reset it. Didn't work. I did a master reset. It didn't work. I took my simcard out. It didn't work. I tried this at random periods through the day, and of course, NO SERVICE. And that stupid message would always pop up to select a different network. How the hell am I supposed to select a different network when I am contracted to Vodafone? Their old saying of "I want to be connected" is more like, "I'm going to be disconnected- from everything".
So only after I returned home around 5pm, I had service again. It was after speaking to my sister that she informed me that she had heard something about Vodafone making some statement in the Sydney Morning Herald about admitting the 3G Network being totally crap. I knew that they were also combining with 3, so I just assumed it had something to do with it.
I could get over that, though I was supremely angry- but as I am an obsessive note taker, I wrote everything down- dates and times, with things I was doing, and swore if it happened again, I would call.
So enter Christmas Eve. After recently moving to Parra, you would THINK I would be safe in the knowledge I would have FULL service- but of course not. Leaving my parents place about 20 mins away- I had absolutely No Service with that now irritating "Network Lost" message showing. Across 6-7 different postcodes along the way down Woodville Rd to Parramatta, and in dead centre Parramatta- I had No Service, on the one day of the year where friends and family members were trying to contact me, and me needing to contact them.
I've had it with them. I called them up, and of course, after being told on the phone that they would call me back after 30 mins- (wayyy over an hour later) I spoke to a woman. I was FUMING! She had the nerve to ask me if I had turned my phone off, like I was a complete moron. It was the first thing I did! And her suggestion that I switch the phone to 2G... I told her where to stick that idea. I pay for a 3G connection. I even pay for an extra internet package that gives me 6GIGS of data a month. I couldn't access ANYTHING or call ANYONE.. and you know what she tells me? That I need a "new" SIM card.. like it's MY fault... Only she was a bit stumped when I told her I had a new SIM given to me in February. So of course, I now have to go and get a "new and blank" SIM to try and see if that works. She actually didn't really have much to say except advise me to go to a vodafone store and get a new SIM.
I didn't sign up on a 24 month contract (with the phone) and the 12 month contract (Internet Data) to have a glorified iPod touch! If I wanted that, I would have bought the iPod.
I made the woman also make a record on my file that if this happens again, as they cannot provide me with the service that I signed up for, they have voided my contract and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
I'm so angry at this, and all the apologies from the company. I want the problems fixed or give us all an out or pay all of our bills until the service is fixed.
