Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

7679 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is EXTREME!!! at 28 Dec 2010 08:13:08 PM
After I switched to vodafone on the 2nd June 2010 I have experienced nothing but trouble. My family and I were going back to WA for a holiday, so I was suppose to be entering into a contract where i would receive good coverage. They told me it would be 98% everywhere, what a joke. The phone dropped in and out, messages were being received anywhere from 1-5 hours later, not to mention the next day. Phone calls were missed, unable to be made or I would have to try again later as my service just dropped in and out. All this for $69 a month, I honestly thought this could be fixed. How wrong could I have been. It has been such a joke really, they have asked me to remove my sim card and try it in another Vodafone on numerous occasions, told me it was the iphone, told me any thing, but it would always come back to being my fault. They would tell me they would have a Tech Support Officer call me, when, in 2015. The amount of phone calls that i have made since taking this contract is ridiculous. The straw that broke the camels back was the beginning of April this year when my 15yr son broke his ankle at school at 10am. After the school had been trying to contact me for hours, I finally recieved the first message 5 hours after the incident, REALLY GLAD IT WASN'T LIFE THREATENING!!! My argument since has been, what if something worse had happened to one of my children or husband, now I really do know that I am only a number to this company. Vodafone still did NOTHING about the problems after this "No Service". Phone continually comes up with "Service Lost - Vodafone no longer your provider" this is something I seemed to have got use to,WRONG.. I rang Vodafone on the 22nd Dec 2010 and was on the phone for over 2hrs, lucky I rang from my land line or it would have been a waste of time (mobile would have dropped out). The Tech Support guy gave me a case ID and told me he would call back on the 24th Dec 2010. During this time, I was to once again record all details of phone calls made and received as well as texting. If I still experienced the same problems when he called back, then they would waive my contract and my next bill. Remember $69 a month since June 2009, and my payout figure is now $372.
Vodafone did text me on the 24 Dec 2010, but I could not call the 1555 number as funny, I didn't have service, why send you this ridiculous number when you can only call it from your Vodaphone account, well you can only do this if you have service right!! Christmas Day no service, Boxing Day no service, 27th no service 28th today guess what Service has done nothing but drop in and out still can't do a dam thing. Have just got of the phone from Tech Support and after 18months of this am now finally getting somewhere. They will now wave my next bill and my payout figure, but I had to return my Iphone after 18 months of paying $69 a month for a service that very very rarely worked.
When i refused and told them that i would take it further (courts), they relented and came back to me and told me I could now keep the iphone and that they will cancel the contract and waive all bills.
No, I'm not holding my breathe just yet, we will wait and see if Vodafone will keep their word. I will, in the mean time keep my phone and find myself another provider.
