Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

8214 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Could it get any worse in such a competative market at 29 Dec 2010 09:53:47 AM
My husband and I have now suffered for 12 months of our 24 months contract with Vodafone using Vodafone Blackberry Bold Handsets. I am a full time working mother 32 weeks pregnant and a 2 year old at home. We have no home phone connected. A reliable mobile phone handset and mobile service provider is all I am asking.

VODAFONE PLEASE - release us from our contracts so we can find a provider that we can rely on should an emergency arise in our home. If I go into labour or have a sick child I have to leave our home and stand out on our street to make a phone call. We have stayed for over 12 months, I'm sure we have paid our dues.

Vodafone Service Problems
- No service coverage in our own home in Cameron Park (Newcastle) intermittent poor to no covereage within about a 2 hour travel radius in any direction. We have moved house and the problem moved with us. We are actually return customers to Vodafone and on resigning I was assured that their network coverage had been dramatically improved and I shouldn't have the same problems relating to service for our area.
- Made multiple attempts to call Vodafone Customer Service for assistance and are advised the wait could be anywhere from 20 - 40 minutes regardless of the time called. On one occasion when i could endure the wait I was told someone from technical support would phone back and I never received a call.
- Solution offered by Vodafone is to take both of our handsets into the Vodafone store they were purchased from (which has now closed down) and they will send them away for testing - another inconvenience. Also advised if I can't find our proof of purchase documents they can't help despite them having complete details of our purchase, handset, and contracts on file.

Vodafone Handset Problems
- Both Blackberrys continually turn themselves off, both midway through calls and while not being used. Progressively getting worse over time and now takes up to 6 hours to turn itself back. (I have a Telstra Blackberry (same model) which works without the same problems.
- Vodafone sends no notification to it's Blackberry customers of software upgrades or when they are available which are essential for efficient Blackberry operation. Have to search the web to find them yourselves.
