Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

840 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is sucking, but not in a good way. at 18 Dec 2010 01:29:16 PM
I was overjoyed when my prepaid $29 Cap was suddenly updated to 500MB bandwidth allowance. "This is awesome!" I thought to myself at the time, a justification to buying my iPhone upfront.

Except. Most of the time, a large majority of the time, even, I am unable to connect to the 3G network, or even the regular one. I bought an iPhone in the first place so that I could take advantage of being connected wherever I went - this is useful for my job which requires me to travel around the city a lot. I have lost count of the times I have been caught at 2am in an unknown place (my job often finishes at this time), and frikkin Vodafone refuses to connect to the network or, when it does, is so slow it is unusable.

The Vodafone 3G maxes out at 45kbps. This is when it does connect. This isn't broadband, or even fast. This is a joke, and the assholes are charging us for uploads as well, so everytime you have to reload that page which has timed out for the nth time, Vodafone is effectively stealing money off you. Byte. By. Byte.

If Vodafone stopped throwing Island parties (I kid you not - Vodafone owns a party barge moored just outside Taronga Zoo), maybe they could afford a proper network, real people to speak with and free blowjobs all around.

Still, they are better than Optus (who once tried to screw me out of $800+ dollars and who, btw, just threw a massive 6000 person Christmas party yesterday) and Telstra (just because). I am paying $0.50 per text message. WTF? A message is a tiny tiny amount of data, how can they continue ripping us off like this? Enough is enough.

Vodafail.
