Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

4810 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Useless at 27 Dec 2010 07:18:33 PM
I tried to cancel my contract (at contract end) due to bad reception in the area. As I am French speaking the computer does not understand my commands and you cannot get through to an operator who could assist. Vodafone shops cannot assist as they only sell contracts, not cancel contracts. How ridiculous is this situation ???
4807 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Rubbish! at 27 Dec 2010 07:18:24 PM
We are another with Crazy John's, coverage is with vodafone. Got sent a text message, which I didn't get until we were driving away from the shopping centre which was about 10 mins after the text had been sent. Then coverage drops out about 10kms out of a major surburban area, which in turn makes my phone turn on & off. Seriously doubt will be resigning with them. Why can't the government do more, isn't this really a breach of contract on their part?
4804 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is really disgusting at 27 Dec 2010 07:18:06 PM
My wife and I both have vodafone with Blackberry plans and our reception constantly keeps dropping out. We have made several complaints via telephone and several vodafone shops and we keep getting told that things will improve and that the interuption is due to them upgrading their system. However they could never explain why one of us will have reception and at the same time, the other one will have no reception, and all of this has been going on for the last three to four months while vodafone keeps assuring us that this disruption will only be for a week or so. Sounds like a company who knows their stuff huh?
4801 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is overfail at 27 Dec 2010 07:17:54 PM
We signed up for 2 year internet plan, after a bout 1 1/2 stuffed up or billing with a letter stating they had issues and it would be fixed. We then didnt get service for a few weeks when ring the 'Help' desk they told us our direct debt failed which they then sorted out after i stated we got a letter from them to say it was there fault. We then stopped getting a service and bill when ringing again we were told we had insufficant funds which was totally not the case, we then received a debt collection letter stated we owed $300 dollar for a service they had not given us, all they could say is insufficant funds (we would earn more in a week then they would get in a year!!!)

I too share the same troubles as everyone else out there. My phone has very bad reception, cuts out and the times I have rang Vodafone, I am on hold for at least an hour and by the time you do get through, you get hung up on before you even get to say a word. I ended up contacting the store where I purchased my phone and vented my frustrations on the manager. I have regreted the day I signed up with them and so want out!!!

4787 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is disappointing at 27 Dec 2010 07:15:26 PM
I have just changed over from 3 to Vodafone, with the promise that Vodafone has much better coverage for where I am in Western Australia. Unfortunately, especially over the Christmas period, my phone keeps cutting out. There have been cases of up to 15 times in which it has occured during one phone call. Being away from family means the use of my phone is very important and I don't like the fact that I can't have a proper conversation without the service cutting out!!!!
4778 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Legendary at 27 Dec 2010 07:14:06 PM
I have vodafone mobile broadband and last couple of months have had frequent recurring drop outs I'm at the point of wanting to break my contract because it's truly ridiculous! Also since 3 have joined with vodafone my phone has been repeatedly dropping out

4777 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Pathetic !!! at 27 Dec 2010 07:13:43 PM
I tried to get Vodafone to stop "lara" phoning me, telemarketing...usually interrupting my busiest times. It took 21 minutes to obtain a response on their "helpline". Then no assistance. Pathetic !!! I expected more from an international company.
4776 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Epic Fail at 27 Dec 2010 07:13:22 PM

Vodafone claims we have full 3G reception at our house in the Perth Metro area, but most of the house has very little (if any) service and calls regularly drop out. Voicemails that are left for us can take up to a week to come through to our phones and facebook can take up to 5mins to update, again if at all.

4741 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Huuuuuge at 27 Dec 2010 07:05:32 PM
Went down south WA for a holiday (eagle bay to be exact). No reception. Power went out in the house we were staying in, needed to find out how long it would be out for...no reception. My hubby owns his own business and some clients could not get through to make bookings for when we were back from our holiday. Thankfully our visitors from far north QLD who were staying with us at the time were with Telstra (which had great reception down there) and we were able to use their mobiles.....also text messages are delayed in coming through or not being recieved at all, told by vodafone to "try a new sim card"...told credit was expired, but amount was still being read out in available credit, couldnt use it...then recharged and it was added onto the amount that i couldnt use. *sigh*
4739 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Utter rubbish! at 27 Dec 2010 07:04:32 PM
I am in bayswater and have been struggling with phone reception and mobile broadband reception for 18 months. I cannot make calls inside the house and have to walk outside so they don't drop out. Vodafone customer service blame it on the type of roof I have. What a cop out! One weekend my husband and I had absolutely no reception and missed an important call regarding the construction of our house. Vodafone just said there were no outages in my area and offered no explanation. I am out of contract and will be moving this week.

Am a salesman, have at various times lost contact with clients mid conversation! Has been that bad that one client gave up and bought a very expensive home from someone else. Losing me a large commission, as I live on commission only ...this is very, very inconvenient and am really damn unhappy with Vodaphone. have spoken with Vodaphone both at the shop where I purchased the phone and through the telecentre and the standard remedy is "Just Re-boot it, it will get better". I have purchased a cheap pre paid phone through Telstra and am having no problems in same areas.... this doesn't give me my number that is on my cards but at least I can talk to my clients. When my contract is up will never go with Vodaphone again...ever!!! Footnote, cant use my apps either, and that is a pain!

Two days after signing up with vodaphone my phone (nokia N97) stopped working due to memory problems. Got no help so I HAVE STOPPED PAYING THE BILL. Eventually they contacted me to say that the phone would be replaced within 24 hours. That is a month ago and I am still waiting. Dropouts on calls are beyond a joke. Local outlets cannot and will not help. Contact is impossible. I am totally fed up with them.

I bought the vodafone prepaid in a town called Manjimup. The next day after hooking it up I had no signal. The lady in Woolworths thought it was a great joke, because sometimes vodafone goes out of signal there FOR A WEEK AT A TIME. I have since moved to Bunbury, and my sob story is that I had the biggest fight with my boyfriend after sending him some photos of me as he is away working. I didn't hear anything back that night and thought he just didn't like the photos. I got very upset over it. It turned out that he did not receive the photos until the next time. Vodafone lost them in cyberspace until then. It was really awful, as he is away, and that is our only contact. Photos and messages often don't go thru at all with Vodafone, or go thru days later when they mysteriously appear. :(

I have been overcharged with my bill. Three times the usual amount and haven't had any extra useage despite vodafone telling me I have. Can't get hold of anyone to speak to me about it. Still get no coverage and messages get delivered days later.
Really worried that I am going to be charged for this extra useage and there is nothing I can do about it.
Kind regards

I am finally out of my vodafone contract. Had the same issue as others. Over 2hrs with different customer non service departments and an extra charge on my bill after the 2 year contract was finished and had been cancelled by me. Never again. What a laugh the CEO talking about needing to investigate improving service. Try employing enough people to answer the phone, provide internet access to cancel contracts and get your people to speak English. Not that difficult

I went on a Vodafone plan at the start of this year with a blackberry.
internet on the blackberry only works when it wants to, and when it dose work its incredibly slow!!! I pay an extra $15 a month to have unlimited txting so therefore I dont go over my cap. in the last two months my bills have come in nearly tripple the amount they should have! service is shit, and I have spent weeks trying to get in contact with them to sort out the issue and spend ATLEAST! 45 mins waiting on hold. my fone service has been cut off as i refuse to pay the bill, yet i cant get in contact with them to resolve the problem???
sounds about right dosent it -.-

Vodafone coverage in festivals is appalling. Every festival i go to i am certain to have NO coverage the whole time i am there whilst people on other networks (i.e 3) have full coverage.

Where do I begin??! Ok, been with Vodafone since July 2009 and I was on contract with an Iphone (older gen ones) for 24 months. Received really bad reception and finally decided to call Vodafone customer service (Oct 2010) to complain. Got told (by a very friendly lady I must say) that it was not Vodafone's services but the Iphone just has bad reception. Thing is, when I go to my mother's house the reception is fantastic, but as soon as I'm in my bedroom at home, I'll be lucky if I get one bar. But my partner who is with 3 gets perfect reception every time. Anyway I was basically told to change handsets, which would mean I would have to pay off the rest of my contract, which was about another $450 at the time. I said I wanted to change over to 3 to be on the same network as my partner because I wasn't happy with Vodafone's services, but was assured it was the Iphone causing the poor reception and I was convinced that Vodafone and 3 were to merge "very soon" and all would be the same soon anyway. I was told to consider the HTC phones as they were "top of the range" in smart phones and I would get the reception and services I needed. I hung up and considered my options. Went into a local Vodafone/3 store and told the sales person I wanted to cancel my contract with Vodafone and sign up with a new handset with 3. Again I got told by a young lady that I shouldn't bother because things are merging and 3 and Vodafone will all the the same "very soon", and it's more likely that my Iphone is causing the reception problems. So naively I believed the sales girl and canceled my contract and signed up to get another phone for another 24 months.. BIG MISTAKE! I got the HTC Legend and it is much worse than my Iphone!! I receive SMS's, calls and when I try to call Vodafone to complain and have to wait 30-45 mins to talk to someone, I get hung up on whilst waiting!! I have a newborn baby and don't have time to be sitting around waiting to talk to someone, nor do I have the time to go into a store and wait over an hour to talk to a sales person either! So basically I am stuck with a sh*t phone with no service and another 24 month contract at 49$ a month (not to mention the amount I have paid to Vodafone to cancel my previous contract with them!) I am at my wits end! I have also called recently to complain that I wasn't receiving any data services, fixed that problem but I am still not receiving reception. I am fed up. Really considering to not pay my next bill!
4619 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is EPIC FAIL! at 27 Dec 2010 06:38:25 PM
Where do i begin??
Last year trying to suspend my fiance's contract for him whilst he was overseas with the Navy - before he left they told me i could do it provided i had his pin etc. When i called the day after he left, they said only he could do it. Yeh - in the middle of the indian ocean how's he supposed to ring!?
Then he did it himself. Only to find a month later a bill for some $600 for international calls after his mate borrowed his phone (they do that), which would have been fine IF vodafone had actually suspended the contract so no calls could be made.
I rejoined them again last year - stupid me - simply because my partner at the time was also with vodafone.
Left to go travelling overseas a month ago. I had called customer service over a period of several weeks, almost never getting through, and when i did, the call connection would inevitably fail EVERY time. Eventually, the day before i left, my mum managed to get through on my behalf. I asked them how to unlock my phone because their internet unlock thing wasnt working - hadnt been for some weeks. And they told me all i had to do was plug it in to iTunes and it would be fine. (iPhone 3). I asked what i would do if it didnt work coz i was leaving late that night and they said it would be fine - it would work. Tried it. It didnt work. Called back and they were closed. So about a week later after having no phone to use overseas coz mine was locked, i went into a london vodafone store to ask if they could help. They put me on the phone to vodafone AU and fortunately i had my first helpful service rep that day. He found there was a problem with my phone imei number or something and was having tech support get onto it... though he said that might be up to 10 days. In the meantime, i was supposed to be supplying a phone number to a future workplace in the US regarding an internship - desperately hoping they wouldnt withdraw the offer because i wasnt able to give them a number to call me on. By this time i'd spent, i'd approximate, 15-20 hours in the past month trying to contact vodafone in one way or another. During this time trying to unlock my phone, i was also trying to have the contract put on suspension whilst overseas - god only knows if they've actually done that.
The fact that I couldnt reach vodafone for customer service - even for the simplest of things - and then finally reaching them after weeks of trying, for them to give me a dud solution prior to the holiday of a lifetime, it completely ruined the fisrt few weeks fo my trip overseas (and the lead up) because all i did was worry. Fortunately, i unlocked my phone 2 days ago. Wishing i never had to deal with them again but unfortunately when i get back i will still have another year left of my contract.

4608 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is SUPER FAIL !!! at 27 Dec 2010 06:36:13 PM
What mess haven't I been in ?!
Besides the consistent no service in my own house or major shopping centres, having NO reception has got me into trouble NUMEROUS times, a recent one of those times being stuck at a festival at Claremont Showgrounds (inner suburbs of Perth!) and losing my friends. I had no reception in the complex, nor outside the complex of 5km away in Cottesloe! Luckily a taxi drove past an hour later and picked me up (which I didn't want to do being a young female by myself .. but had no choice), meanwhile my friends thought I had been abducted due to my absense for a few hours.
The insurance is RIDICULOUS and I do NOT recommend anybody get their phone insured by Vodafone - it's a scam. The ONLY way you can get your phone fixed under insurance is if you dropped it in the toilet because it's too unhygienic to assess (the software was buggere din my phone - a legit reason to be insured I feel as it was nothing to do with the care I provded to the handset..). After 4 weeks to 'assess' my phone, I called them and the phone had apparently already been assessed and they hadn't contacted me. The new phone was meant to be in the mail in 10 days. 3 weeks later I called to see where my phone was - it was on 'backorder'. I changed the model from my preffered phone so I could recieve it earlier. 4 weeks later .. still no phone. I ended up having to go into Vodafone and PAYING $800 upfront out of my own pocket for my insurance in order to get my desired phone I had been without for a few months! Vodafone promised to reimburse my money within 10 days - it took 3 weeks ($800 is a lot for a student!).
I am hanging out for my contract to end so I can get out of this mumbo jumbo! They expect me to pay my bill and cut me off when I don't ... but I only have coverage 2-5 hours a day when it wants to work not when I need my phone - who wants to pay $90.00 a month for a service that doesn't provide? Vodafone Fail !!

Great idea creating this site. Vodafone is playing with its customers. Their customer service is non existent. Like everybody else here, I waited more than ONE hour everytime I called their "customer service" to have somebody answering the phone then to be told that I should be talking to a different department. After nearly TWO hours on the phone somebody from Vodafone told me that Vodafone was upgrading their computers and the service should be up in a couple of weeks. Is this a Vodafone joke?? As this site suggests, call the TIO and present your complain. The Federal Government that legislates and grants licenses to telecommunications operators like Vodafone must also take a position to protect the customers.

For the past 12 months i have been calling vodafone to complain about calls dropping out they told me to high light it on the bill or record the times and dates for reimburstment. This is impossible to do when i use my mobile for work, i would be stopping all day. Not Good Enough. Also no one has ever called me back after a complaint to see if i happy with the result... Simply because there hasnt been a result its worse now then it ever was and when i asked to fauvit my contract they told me it cost somewhere around $800...

We never signed up with Vodafone. We were signed up with 3 because the coverage was pretty good (even though their phone service is crappy and you can't understand what the people on the other end of the phone are saying!!!). Now that the 2 companies have merged our coverage is almost non existent and with over 6 months still to run it's bloody frustrating...even worse considering we operate 2 businesses and our mobiles are a necessary part of the day to day running of each business.

At the end of my contract I decided to get out of vocative! do you think this is possible? Not on line. After being on hold for 2 hours customer service hung up on me 3 times!
Vodafone kept debiting my credit card after I cancelled it online. When they finally responed to my repeated email they told me I have another 12 months of contract. I had to send them a copy of my contract to prove they were wrong. They finally canceled my service not before taking 4 extra months payments & refusing to refund them or respond to my requests!

I have had reception issues since moving closer to the Perth CBD 2 months ago. I sent emails and only got standard automated responses. They tried to call me on the mobile phone in question and didnt try to contact me at home when the call dropped out 5 times in 10 minutes! I stressed to them i am unemployed and this is affecting my chances of getting employment and i have missed out on potential work over christmas because calls dont get through to voicemail.
They finally admit its their fault but wont acknowledge the statement they made that they would cancel my contract if it was a reception issue.

Over the Christmas Boxing day break I had NO SERVICE more than I had service! When I rang Customer Care and waited 45min I then lost service and was disconnected and the guy didn't even give me the common decency to ring back. So I got in the que again took the option of a call back in 30min. This happen in an hour and a half only for them to suggest it's my handset and to put my sim in another phone and try it!! Only to hear about this site and find out EVERYONE is having problems!! It is very disappointing! I have 4 phones with them.

My reception hardly ever works and when it does the reception usually drops out and my calls fail or disconnect. everytime i try to get my account balance 'it is currently unavailable'. They charged me over a hundred dollars to drop my cap down and then failed to tell me that my new cap didnt cover my calls to my voicemail and charged me extra to ring anyone on a different service. calling customer service to change i was kept on hold for up to 2hrs only to have to call back AGAIN coz they had failed to do what they said they would do!

My phone has been back twice for repairs and is now failing again, I cant receive the coverage I need when we are out 4Wdriving, messages receives late, message that arent for me, there website did not update my e-mail address and I ended up with a large bill and my service cut off.
I cant wait until my contract is up and I will definitely go elsewhere.

Where do I start???
1. Six hours without coverage
2. text messages coming through days (at least 4 days) after they were sent
3. calls dropping out
4. being unable to recharge either by the website or on my phone for 4 hours
5. slow data connection
All this within 2 weeks. Ridiculous Vodafone, total massive fail. I have been with them for 7 years and have always been happy but this last 3 months I have seen them really drop the ball. Such a pity cause I don't want to turn to other competitors especially not Telstra.

I do snake catching in my spare time and my clients do not appreciate not being able to get hold of me. If I am the only snake catcher avaiable in my area and I cannot be contacted due to Vodafones dreadful call centre in India and even worse customer service, and should my client get bitten - I will hold them totally responsible.
I have been told that my suburb is 'the best in Australia for coverage', I have been offered a free extra simm card with free call diversion for one month, what use is that when I cant get coverage or have the dropped calls?
I do not accept the apology or the patronising statement of how good coverage is, I do not appreciate the dreadful English/communication skills of their support staff, nor do I accept how long I have to wait to speak to someone and then be transferred 4 times or even cut off! I have contacted the TIO and Vodafone have not offered a resolution yet, when I said I would see them in court, someone with poor English said 'Very good Madam but your suburb is the best in Australia'.
So Vodafone, you had better pray that my clients can get hold of me in an emergency or I will talk like a budgie to every newspaper I can think of and I will do so very loudly. I want out of my contract and I want out now!

My husband has a Vodafone contract which he has been trying to cancel. He could not get through to the call centre so went in person to see them in person at Morley. They told him he needed to ring Vodafone up which he has tried to contact unsuccessfully since. His contract should have ceased about twelve months ago after completing two years with them. In the past year I have been using his old Vodafone phone and have been digusted with very poor intermittent reception and frequent drop outs. I used to think it was due to being in a shopping centre or traveling half an hour away but the same thing happens at home when I am sitting in my lounge room.It drops out and then back in and back out when I haven't moved at all and there is no reason why it should happen. Can anyone please tell us how we can finally withdraw from Vodafone? Much appreciate any help. Coral

Vodafail prepaid 3G USB modem only gave reasonable connection speed once while I was visiting relatives in Attadale, at that was at 2:30 in the morning. Otherwise, it was no better than dial-up, glad I had 3G iPad with Telstra while away from home in Melbourne. Service was pathetic in every part of Perth/Fremantle that I visited.
Connection speeds were very good in Collie and OK in Margaret River, nothing at all in Walpole, a partial connection in Denmark.

It started a month ago, I'm having poor poor reception (yes until now) around Cannington area (in Perth) that I live in.
3G network doesn't work, and I have to switch my phone off and on every time i want to send a text message. Incoming calls or texts are also a huge problem.
I know it's not my phone acting up because if I'm a suburb away, I'll get full reception.
I'm thinking of changing to Optus!

Been with Voda since moving to WA in aug 2007 - all has been reasonably ok until a few months ago - despite not moving I suddenly struggle for service at home (Tapping, WA) - service continually drops out and text messaging a nightmare - big problems sending and even bigger problems receiving - I have to continually try and send myself a message to force text messages thru to myself - I will then receive 4 or 5 at once which have been sent hours before. Voicemail also has big delays. I am sick to the back teeth with it and trying to speak to someone at Voda to deal with it is a nightmare in itself - sometimes waiting over an hour to speak with someone who can hardly speak English and then cut u off when the going gets tough. I'm so over it. Just let me out of my contract as u suck vodafone!!

Vodafone got me on a plan with a $10 discount for the first 3 months.
The discount didn't turn up until I was on the plan 5 months and only after I repeatedly complained... Inevitably to someone in Ukraine or the Philippines. Also why can't they keep up with my billing when I dial 1512? They just charge more after I make calls I wouldn't have otherwise made.
Why don't they make clear that calls to 13 numbers are per minute???
LIFT YOUR GAME! Just because you're competing with Telstra doesn't mean you have to try to be as crap as they are!

I have been a loyal Vodafone customer for 8yrs, but this is just shocking. On one day I was on the phone to "customer service" 3 times... first I got cut off after being on hold for 20mins (Angry? You bet!). Then I rang back and this time got the option for the callback... 2hrs later my phone rings. The chick in "customer service"was less than helpful, didnt help that their system was down also. What a joke... They tell me to call them back (What!?) so I do, tell them my problems (mainly not sending/receiving sms) and they go on to blame my sim card for all my service dropouts/delays. Pfft. Not likely chump. I gave examples of a friend and partner as they are having the same problems. She suggests their sims are dodgy.
too. Are you for real?! So then I get forwarded onto "tech support". Why? Beats me! Surprise surprise they can't tell me anything. Then I get hung up on.... pissed? Of course. But, lucky for them they rang back. So I go get a new sim... has it fixed anything? What do you think? Of course not. I totally can't be bothered calling up again to sit on hold, only to talk to Some useless person in "customer service", with a shocking delay in response (you can't make me believe they are in Aust!). I'm over it, and lucky for me my plan runs out in Feb!

4429 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is poor internet services at 27 Dec 2010 06:04:40 PM
We bought an internet USB stick in May 2010 from Vodafone, never had coverage (even though Vodafone said that in that area they have full coverage). Vodafone promised to fix it, never called back. After contacting them on numerous occasions (and being put through tens of departments and all at our own expance), they said that the contract was canceled, when in fact not only that they DID NOT cancel the cpntract, but they transfered "the debt of one month fee" to a collection company WITHOUT informing us (we never received a letter of notification, a bill etc). We were contacted by that collection company and threatened we will end up with a very bad credit history if we do not pay them. That is when we called Vodafone and they said we have to IGNORE that letter because our contract with them had been canceled. Only in november 2010 could we close the business with Vodafone, after we had to pay from our own pockets for all the correspondence with them and all the trouble with the collection company that they hired to get money from us we did not owe. It cost us 6 phone cards of $29 each and 20 hours of our times to sort out their mess because they REFUSED to call the collection company themselves. At the moment we are very very disappointed and we want to be compensated. Hope you will be able to do something about it. Our details: Brett and Betty Pedersen, 0406212705

So first of all, vodafone started charging me up to 600 dollars a month for my phone usage. The reason was cause i was receiving random sms messages which I never signed up for but that cost me 50 dollars an sms. It was sms's with random world facts. I was never told, even when asked that this was the reason my phone bill was so high until i asked around and figured out what it was supposed to be.
So i go in to vodafone, change the play to the 99 dollar unlimited plan and get an i phone.
When I signed up i was told to keep making payments into the same bpay account, i did.
Later I am told I have not paid my phone bill. After about a week of fucking around I finally get through to the customer service line, and eventually they give me the money i paid in credit on my current account.
This month, I get another bill;. No credit has been applied, nothing. Not only that. I am told my phone will be cut off in a few days if i don't pay right away.
Only problem is, I have a sms, an automated phonecall and an email ALL stating different amounts I owe (Anywhere between 110 and 400) I call for days, am on the line for over an hour sometimes and get no help. Can't even talk to anyone.
Then when i try and use the automated service to find out how much my bill is and what my b pay details are i am told my account details are unable to be found at this time, sorry for the inconvenience.
Next day my phone gets cut off.
I go into vodafone to sort it out. I am told that no vodafone representative at a vodafone shop is allowed to handle billing issues and all I can do is pay the full amount and maybe sometime this week my phone will come back on (Maybe) I paid the bill on friday.
This is after the vodafone representative checked on his computer and indeed confirmed i had 300 dollars of credit. Credit which was given to me by vodafone over a month ago and is registered in their computers yet they still want me to p[ay the same amount because their computers cant sort my shit out.
On top of that, there is the constant bad internet connection, bad service, late messages, missed phonically that don't come through till after its too late.
my email is mlahooti@gmail.com
I am a film maker also. I will gladly help sue vodafone.

I had a vodafone 6 month plan and after 5 months I went overseas. I was told that I could cancel at the end of the 6 months. I emailed vodafone to do so and recieved no reply but continued to be billed (I had set up auto pay with my bank)I had my father visit the store and they assured him (after 3 hours in the store!) that it would be resolved. I recieved more bills. I emailed again,
no reply... This went on for the whole 6 months I was away (not using my phone)
upon returning home I went into the store and after an hour or more, the issue still wasn't resolved. I was told I would be refunded the ammount payed out as they at least had a record of the email (so why didn't they answer it??) But the staff couldn't confirm that, as, you guessed it, they couldn't get through and needed to Email HQ. Still waiting for a reply...

I have a Vodafail wireless internet stick and it has never performs at the specified speed. It runs very slowly, or drops off-line completely.
I went to the local Vodafail shop where I purchased the system and was told to phone a particular number. I could hardly understand the person I phoned but the service was OK for a day or so but then it slowed down to its original speed. Some days it does not work at all. Other days it is VERY slow. Meanwhile Vodafail are taking $35+ every month from my credit card.

I recieved more bills. I emailed again,

I have a mobile broadband plan and over the last 6-8 weeks we have been getting repeated dropped connections and poor performance. As of today 5-6 dropouts a day is now normal with much difficuly re-acquiring the connection. As for peformance, well thats all but non-existent. My mum has a dial-up connection which is more reliable than what I have. I don't ask for huge speed and bandwidth but what I do expect is reliability above all. I am throwing mony at Vodafone for nothing. My contract expires on January 15th and will be going elsewhere. Don't even attemp to contact their phone support, I choose life...
4364 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Epic fail at 27 Dec 2010 05:55:59 PM
I joined Vodafone wireless broadband after they looked up my address on their site and establishing total coverage. I live in Jolimont, less than 5k from Perth City centre and am on an upper floor so I envisaged no problems.
The first 3 weeks were idyllic. I could receive on my laptop all over the house as per usual. But then, suddenly, at about 3 weeks in, I couldn't get my connection. All over the house bar one uncomfortable corner of the lounge near a window, the connection WILL NOT pick up, even when there is a few bars of network available.
I asked at the shop and they shrugged and palmed me off. I am not impressed at all.

I have had days of Vodafone not allowing calls through to my phone even though the signal bars on my handset are full. Voicemail messages coming through as a result of this take 3 to 4 days. My coverage drops out inside my house (about 15kms outside of the CBD) but never in the same room. Basically hit and miss depending on the day and time. I was talking to another phone provider the other day on my mobile and the phone dropped out 6 times in the space of 10 mins - was this because I was talking to the opposition (lol). Sooooo totally over Vodafone.

Vodafone mobile to mobile call from Perth to York gives a engaged signal, however a call 5 seconds later from land-line to mobile works. Both mobile phones are Vodafone.
4310 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is epic fail at 27 Dec 2010 05:50:01 PM
We have found after being with Crazy John's for a short time (they use Vodafone, 3 and Crazy John's together) that my husband and I have entire days without coverage. No support offered from Vodafone/Crazy John's. My phone will often let me know I have a voicemail when the thing never even rang for me to answer it. Text messages can take forever (not always) but too often... and often I can't even phone my husband as we're on the same network/plan. Previously we were with Virgin and had no issues. It's not like we live in the bush or anything...!!
27 Dec 2010 05:54:26 PM: I forgot to add - the tower is throwing distance from our house... so should be fantastic coverage all the time!!
4293 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is super big disgraceful fail at 27 Dec 2010 05:48:40 PM
People phone me, unable to get through because the 'line is busy' even though I am not using the phone. On several calls the signal has just dropped out resulting in the call being terminated. This is in residential, urban metro area of Perth!! Takes a really long time for voice messages to come through and be recognised. Vodafone have locked me in to a 24 month contract with a blackberry. First plan I have bought, been with vodafone for ages, trusted them. There performance in the last 12 months has been nothing short of a disgrace. Expecting me to pay for a service?? What service?? A lot of the time my phone gets such a weak signal I cant make calls. The internet on my phone too is super slow. Nothing more infuriating when you are on the phone and it disconnects. The whole point of me having a phone is so I can get in contact with people when not at home and people can reach me when i am not at home. I might aswell leave my mobile at home seeing as the whole purpose of me having a phone at times is pretty much defeated. Oh and I forgot to mention. The lag in texting is horrible sometimes. Sure if I was living in the country, had an inferior phone and wasnt paying a big monthly premium for it i would have no issue. But I have a blackberry, pay heaps for the service and live in metro perth where Vodafone claim to have on par coverage. This a complete disgrace. I'm counting down the months vodafone.... And after that I am out. I am investigating terminating early, just doing the sums of what it would cost.
27 Dec 2010 06:07:51 PM: I've had all the same problems, whatever you do do not agree to pay the termination fees, after 2 months of crap service and numerous problems I phoned the TIO and got a call on Friday from Vodafone saying that I will be let out of the contract with no termination fees as long as I return the phone to them

O Vodafone. To many stories to much pain to recall here i thought when you reduced my plan from from $79 a month to $29 you where doing me a big favor but service is to hard to live with. While we are at it can anyone tell me if we only spend $50 on Say an $80 plan why do we not receive a credit the next month.Because if you spend more you have to pay extra .Why does the ACCC allow such plans
