Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

I am with 3 and have been for 4 or 5 years, I live in Far North Qld and was able to get reception out at sea or up in the tablelands and beyond, outside capital cities 3 used the Telstra network. Last year at some stage I was getting no signal at times in Cairns & from there on the failure rate increased. I found out 3 was bought by vodafail and all calls to 3 care assure me it has nothing to do with that? To get out of contract they want me to pay an exit fee!! I am paying for nothing now so I guess they figure I'll pay to say good bye? I wish for a simple life.....alas technology has me waisting more time chasing my tail!

17875 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is High Fail at 10 May 2011 01:43:43 PM
I was a happy 3 pre-paid customer, and even though some areas had poor reception, at least it worked well most places I needed it (work and home without roaming on). Since the vodafone merger, it has become incredibly unreliable and does not work at home or at work - with or without roaming. Shocking how it could go downhill so quickly. Switched to an alternate pre-paid vendor. (Never trusted post-paid since I was with One-Tel)

17873 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Shocking at 10 May 2011 01:02:31 PM
Wireless internet constantly drops out "Diagnose Internet Connection". Mobile constantly says "Emergency Calls Only" "No Network" - why am I paying Vodafone for "No Network"???? Unbelieveable. Vodaphone store keeps saying - no problems at all in the area - the staff are being told to lie - shocking - NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I SIGN WITH VODAFONE.
17871 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Poor at 10 May 2011 09:10:22 AM
I posted the same post for the wrong area. Previously I put "ACT".
My correct area is "NSW". Hence I am posting it again.
I lost reception at Townhall station. I waited for 30 minutes and could not get any reception until I rebooted my phone. When there was no network reception bar it shows "NO Service". It often happens and it is a real pain. Specially when you are desperate to make calls and you get "No Service".
This was really frustrating.

I have been reading everyones pain on this website, I feel really guilty as the only things I have experienced since joining vodafone is cheap calls and a phone that works. When I first bought my phone I had some dramas with it so o went back to the store and they organized a new phone sINCe then it's been fine. When I was with Telstra the coverage was crap at home and they are soooooo expensive. Go vodafone I say ....
10 May 2011 08:38:04 AM: What type of phone are you using? Interested to know which handset works on the Vodafone network.

17868 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Reception Non-Existent at 10 May 2011 12:17:42 AM
Claims about coverage are total B-shit. In many large regional centres there is simply no V-Fail reception at all. Roxby Downs for example, when I was there in October last year, and too many other towns on east coast to remember. Thinking about buying a flock of carrier pidgeons...at least I could rely on them to get the message trough quicker than V-fail.

17866 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Utterly & Completely Screwed at 9 May 2011 10:39:45 PM
Residing in the Gungahlin area... Completely No 3G coverage when I'm @ home (having to rely on my home wireless network) or anywhere in Canberra for that matter... Been on to Vodafone quite a few times, informed that they are still re-working on their towers for the area (this was well b4 xmas '10) & still no no resolve... Everytime I call them they can mysteriously credit my account $50... Still doesn;t help with coverage though, the phone they sold me, they now inform me is one they don't recommend (SonyE X10 - Didn't tell me that when I was comparing all the phones available - was the best phone on the market) Now Im stuck in a 24 month contract & I want out....
10 May 2011 06:25:06 AM: I'm in Gungahlin and have the exact same problem...$50 credit and all. It's better for the call centre to just pay you out each time you call than have another customer cancelling on their record.
I also have an internet stick, they offered to credit the full cost each month providing I let the contract run it's course.
I am an ex employee, and unfortunatly..there is no hassle free way out. I'd head straight to the TIO if I were you.

Even in the city you can't get reception with Vodafone! What the hell is with that! You'd expect that's the best place to get coverage. Tempted to change to Telstra but their service is so shit, it takes 45 minutes just to get a hold of a customer service operator! Vodafone have good plans but I hope they can sort out the coverage thing!
13 May 2011 11:23:23 PM: I think they r building more towers...so fingers crossed!

I have been with Vodafone for at least 6 years! Up until mid June last year coverage/calls/sms were all fine... Particularly over the last 6 months I have had consistent problems with delayed sms, calls dropping out, broadband coverage both on phone and computer were horrendous. Whilst not on contract I persisted because it was easier however the frustration at paying for a service Im not getting really pisses me off. I swapped to OPTUS today! I can make calls, load pages almost instantly and send and receive sms without any problems.. Enough is enough Good bye vodaFAIL

17856 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Delays and dropouts at 9 May 2011 12:13:04 PM
Delayed SMS's sometimes by days. Have good reception then it drops out requiring a phone restart with good reception again. About 30% of calls seem to drop out. Vodaphone pretending it seems to be an unusual occurance. Good phone coverage and no intenet. Thats all!
17855 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is 10! at 9 May 2011 11:59:28 AM
I have had repeated problems with receiving and sending text messages. At one stage I was on the phone to Vodafone every day with a new issue. One day I wouldn't be able to receive text messages, they would "fix" the problem, then I wasn't able to send text messages!
After many phonecalls and my precious time, they are now telling me there is no problem on their end, that it must be the recipient / sender's network, not Vodafone. There are particular friends that am I not able to receive messages from, other days it is just everyone.
I have done the usual "fix" of turning my phone on and off, once it worked and I received about 15 text messages I had been waiting for. Since then, it hasn't worked to turn the phone on and off. I have inserted my Vodafone sim card into my work Telstra mobile, and about 10 messages came through on the other phone that I had been waiting for. I tested it a few times and had friends text me whom I could never receive texts from and it was fine. Over the weekend, the problem has come back again.
I am extremely frustrated at the very least and am seriously considering moving to another provider.

17854 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Epic fail at 9 May 2011 11:55:01 AM
I live in Port Douglas FNQ and vodafone reception here has always been extremely lame ever since i moved here a decade ago. I was assured by the vodafone rep that after they had upgraded the network to 3G i would have reception pretty much everywhere. This is so far from the truth that it may as well be on Mars. If anything the reception is worse. Half the time i try to make calls i get a 'connection failed ' message , texts take several hours to get to me and there are at least 5 major reception 'black holes' within the space of a few km's from the town centre. When i called vodafone to report it they proceeded to 'check' the reception in my area and then informed me that it was fine and there was nothing they could do. Bollocks. I have had enuf.
10 May 2011 11:58:37 AM: Lodge a complaint with Vodafone customer service (hopefully it doesn't take long to get through to them) and let them know. If you're service isn't working half the time then why should you pay the full amount? Goodluck and no need to be silent to vodafone about the problems you're having.

OMG the reception is so bad with Vodafone! i was at soundwave at the beginning of the year & i had NO reception ALL day which sucked big time coz i couldnt meet up with other friends, as i couldnt call them to meet me somewhere. i had to made meet up times & places with the people i was with, it was very annoying. Also they always have melt downs, they had another one of monday (6/5) which is just a piss off. i'm on count down til my contact ends so i can move over to Telsta, they may just more but least i'll be getting the service i'm paying for.
19 May 2011 12:28:15 AM: You will find that at festivals the channels are always very busy and congested, so you often can't get signal/ send sms's on the day. All the networks have this problem. I hate vodafone, but i think all phone companies have this issue

Central coast is plagued with blackspots, and its very rare to see a 4-5 bar connection. Speeds are very good however, never less than 200KB/s. Pings are shocking, due to wireless backhaul I expect?
Website went down for maintainence saturday night and wasnt up till 9:30 sunday. I needed to make a call but I couldn't recharge.

I have been a happy, loyal Vodafone customer for about 8 years, up until all of these problems they've been having lately.... I have experienced terrible service, overpriced bills and complete loss of coverage, all in the last 6 or so months. And for all of this, I have not experienced one offer of reimbursement!
For this Vodafone, I will not be signing a new contract with you come October.
I actually am looking forward to switching telecommunication companies!

17831 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Pathetic at 7 May 2011 06:43:54 PM
People say that when they try to call me, I don't answer the phone. However, the fact is that I did not receive the call in the first place. I am not too sure then where are the calls getting diverted. If I don't answer the phone, at least I will get a missed call notification on my hand-set. But, that too was not the case as there was no notification. Icing on the cake was there was no coverage today for 45 minutes. I called Vodafone and they said that my complaint will be escalated to the technical team, but I will not receive any feedback. To top it all, the guy told me that you may ver well go ahead and cancel the contract if you are not happy with the service. No prizes to guess what will be my next step.

17817 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Epic Fail!!! at 6 May 2011 07:40:09 PM
I signed up with 3 without being told they were part of Vodafail as I was leaving them because I was sick of the crap reception, service and everything else. I've been with them (3) for nearly a year and have had 2 bills sent to me in the ENTIRE time!!! I have been sick for the last 6 or so weeks and on crutches and hadn't thought about my mobile bill (my home and internet is through Telstra and they gave me a courtesy call to say that my bill was overdue and once I explained my situation they said they understood and would accept payment with my next bill) - anyway back to the point I logged onto the website to see if I had a bill due, and I find that instead of my $79 bill that I was expecting they want me to pay them nearly $200 and I don't know what for as I don't have an itemized bill!!!! On Monday morning I am planning on putting in a complaint to the TIO as I want out of my contract because I get charged for "roaming" when I'm in my own house!!!! I don't care if I have to pay out the phone, but I'm not paying them a cent until I can see in front of me what all the charges are for!!!!
6 May 2011 10:06:54 PM: Having spoken with numerous people in overseas countries where English is DEFINITELY NOT the first language, I have had the extra charges dismissed, and will more than likely be having my contract cancelled as when I signed up they FAILED TO DISCLOSE the "coverage issues" they have and have known about in my area for YEARS!!!!! All I am waiting on is a phone call from someone in the next 48 hours from the appropriate department when I can tell them to shove my contract!

At home when I receive a call I must always do the following: Run outside as fast as possible, stand on my letter box, answer the call, have it cut out, wait for the phone to cycle back to reception, phone that person back, explain what happened, talk for a while until it cuts out again. EVERY TIME!!! How is it that we walked on the moon 40 years ago and yet today I have to stand on my letter box, sometimes in the rain, and with all my neighbours hearing my conversations just to make a call!

Constantly finding that I receive text messages and voicemails days later than they were intended for me. At least every week at some point, reception will appear at full strength but once a call is attempted, it will drop out. I can try again almost instantly when the bars return but the same thing happens. This usually last a couple of hours. Also, during the last week of April I found that my reception bars remained at zero for about 36hrs. As my internet connection was perfectly normal and accesible, I assumed it was am glitch with the display on my phone but the next day I had four voicemails and about fifteen text messages when the bars ramdomly returned. Thing is, Im looking for a new job and I missed out because of this Vodafail error... Angry doesnt describe.

Just an FYI for everyone. I was experiencing similar issues about two months ago. I was told to switch to the 2G network to make calls and that I'd be offered 50% off my bills for the next six months whilst the network upgrade took place. I was very disgruntled as I rely on 3G coverage as I use my phone for emails as well as calls and txt. After speaking to a few consultants and their attempts to save my business I managed to negotiate with them that they'd waive my early termination costs if i sent my phone back to them. They sent me an express post bag and I'm now a happy Optus customer (except for Optus' annoying consultants who think being condescending is polite) but great service, good price and so far so good. It's worth a try, particularly if you feel its important to have thefull service you signed up for!
17797 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Hillariously frustrating at 6 May 2011 12:33:35 PM
I work in the Brisbane CBD.
Vodaphone just tried to call me with an automated message, but due to their own inadequacy, the call was dropped by its own network and went to voicemail. The message took several minutes to download and then i played it, the message got so far as saying it was from vodaphone before the signal cut out and the message ended. Hence I now know that vodaphone felt something was important enough to warrant calling me, but have no idea what that is. I hate and resent this network beyond the scope of allowed language allows me to portray. I will leave this plan at the earliest possible opportunity.

Half the time I cannot use the mobile from my house. If I want to send a message I have to walk up the road, sometimes I have to get into the car and drive to a few streets away, just to get reception. People who try to ring me tell me my phone is turned off most of the time, but I just don't have any coverage. I live in Dalkeith, WA.

I'm on a 3 contract and my phone was working ok until about 3 weeks ago, I guess they have now merged with vodaphone. I originally got a HTC handset so that I could use the mobile internet. Got lost in Sunnybank and I could't even get reception to look up Maps to find out where I was. I work in the city and have to find spots to get enough coverage even just to make a phonecall!! I hope they can do something about the coverage and drop outs soon.

Also have wireless broadband which is just as bad .WE have lived at our current residence for 5 years but have only had the problems for the past 6 or so months. Have perservered with the network since the problems started and nothing is or has improved, Sick of Vodafones lip service and definately changing carriers now ,after 10 years vodafone has lost itself 2 more customers.

6 May 2011 10:11:11 AM: AFAIK Vodafone took over 3 quite a while back, like in 2010. My gf is with 3, and has had shit reception with them for the past 2 years at least.. And we've even moved closer to the city since, but that made no difference!
17735 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Poor 3G reception at 5 May 2011 04:43:01 PM
For the last 12-8 months I have been experiencing poor 3G reception at home (in metro Perth). I am not a complainer and didnt say anything about it. However ofer the last 6 months the situation has got even worse with 3G reception dropping out several times a day (in the City and metro Perth where vodafone reception is supposed to be best). As a consequence, I am constantly swithching my phone on and off or manually searching for a signal. I am please I happened on this site, because vodafone service is quite simply not worth the money I spend on it ($70-80 pm) and come contractual renewal time thankfully in 2 short months) I will, on the basis that my experience is not unusual, be taking my business elsewhere.

No reception around my home or at my workplace. Voicemail messages turn up days later to calls I never even knew I missed (BECAUSE I HAVE NO RECEPTION). A million black spots along the main freeways I drive along (Concerning in case of car emergency). Complained to Vodafone, was basically told "It's a blackspot, and I can't tell you when it's due for upgrade" Website says the area was upgraded in January. Blackspot is not noted on their reception map (Very misleading piece of crap that is). Have made numerous complaints with a "Too bad, too sad, we're sorry though" sort of response. Just reported them to TIO today to help me resolve this. Gahhhh, they make me so mad!

My Vodafone mobile broadband used to be fine, but in the last three weeks has becomee appalling. Dropping out after being connected for only a couple of minutes, requiring me to disconnect and reconnnect, or not being able to find a network at all. And I live in Highgate! I spent 40 minutes talking to a call centre in India, uninstalling and reinstalling the program, in the end to be told that the service in my area "wasn't very good". Am going to change to Telstra. Vodafone sucks and blows at the same time.

Reception issues. Pick up calls and the line is disconnected. I had to call the caller back. Good way for Vodaphone to make money out of their customers.
Constant reception dramas.
After purchased a sony ericsson from them. When I had battery problems they tried to fob me off. When they eventually sent my phone back for repair they gave me a replacement dodgy phone and they did not provide updates. I constantly had to call them. 8 weeks later i received my phone back with a second hand battery. 8 weeks for this! The phone still has issues. My plan has since run out and I am with Virgin.

Have wireless internet and mobile connection with Gold Coast Vodafone - calls drop out continually, phone incapable of sending SMS, internet drops out/times out continually, so painful. Complained to local store, was told Vodafone working on tower for last 6 weeks (sure, give me a break), said have had problem since signing with Vodafone months ago. The supposedly "free" Vodafone "helpline" has NEVER worked. Have to pay for all calls to Vodafone. Not Satisfactory. False advertising. Was again told by local Vodafone store that I can go on the complaints list (I said I had complained on this list months ago). Shocking network, extremely poor customer service, I want out. Extremely frustrating - NEVER EVER WILL I SIGN WITH VODAFONE AGAIN.

Yet my flatmate on another network has FULL coverage throughout the shopping centre and throughout my home! Its incredibly frustrating. Ive contacted the call centre and got told to turn my phone off and on and hopefully that will resolve the issue....Your joking right????!!!! lol. Vodaphone refuses to release me from my contract even after explaining that the manager of ther vodafone store absolutley promised me that it was my old phone that was causing my reception difficultys, Ive been stuck on my contract for 9months now and have got 13 painfull months to go! Everybody in my social network is 110% behind ditching vodafone when there contracts are up. Vodafone has really let me down in there service and quality of product but what im the most angry about is there lack of understanding to say ....Yip we are in the wrong,we apologise and we will release you from your contract as we are failing to meet our side of the deal!!! The usual story. Unfortunately I have both a mobile phone contract and wireless USB stick with them. On the phone it's dropped calls, no reception, messages not sending despite apparently having reception. With internet, despite being in a capital city, it's terribly slow if it chooses to work. Sometimes it only is available in the corner of my courtyard with the computer held up above my head...not really conducive for use!
It's annoying, yes. But it's also incredibly unsafe.

17698 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Pretty bad at 5 May 2011 09:17:09 AM
I can't get reception in the city train station and reception is poor to non-existent at the Bullcreek train station and surrounding areas. There are black holes around the entire city where I can't get 3G on my phone and low reception bars means my phone chews through the battery every two days. Calls drop out often meaning it costs you another flag charge to call back and SMS messages are delayed by hours sometimes days. On 24th April I couldn't send an SMS for the whole day. Vodafone responded by giving us free texts the following Sunday, but that was not a suitable compensation - I would rather have a refund of some of my bill. Vodafone really need to pick up their game.

It drops out constantly, I have people complaining why I dont answer their texts which I dont even receive. I cant open pxt messages, It is a constant problem and when I complain all they want to do is run tests to see if we are in a good service area which is strange as we live on top of a hill near glenorchy , Our husband and sons phones have perfect reception as they are with a different service company. 1. Constant bad handling -delayed-of text or mms messaging, could result in life or death situation for certain people as unreliable service frustrates information handling. medical or emergency services cannot be contacted in many instances- disabled people need phones and access to!
2. Poor reception- inability to continue or make calls in my location- constant dropouts
3. Very poor wait time for customer service assistance (unbearably long)
4. Rubbish broadband on wireless modem.
5. No follow up for plan-holders with offers on replacement handsets- they do wear out!- what happened?
6. Constantly being badgered to sign again for plans just to get new handset- staff at shops do not understand- we already are customers, and simply want newer handsets not new numbers or plans! pre-pay or existing we only want access to current model handsets - is that too hard?

Got an iphone from vodafail on upgrade from existing plan, thought my old phone was faulty. Turns out it was vodafail and their so called network. Brought in the TIO and got released from my contract by vodafail, or so I thought. They received the iphone handset on 3rd of March. Sent them an email from myvodafone and got prorata bill for the time I had the handset which I thought was somewhat fair but never got a reply. Then just recently got a new bill for a new month with an overdue amount, lost my rag and rang them. Asked them if they had received the phone which I knew they had coz I had Auspost tracking number. They confirmed it and said i would be disconnected in 3 to 5 working days. Also asked why they didnt disconnect as I didnt have the phone but they did, did they think I liked having no handset but an active service? They said they werent sure if I wanted to be disconnected even though I photocopied the letter they sent me and included with the handset when I returned it. That was 2 weeks ago. Rang my old number yesterday and yep, there is my voice on the voicemail. This company sets new low standards for customer service. Back in the hands of the TIO again *sigh*. So very glad I never gave them bank details to take my money at their convenience.

Just had another period of "wont send an SMS for no apparent reason". Sick and tired of constant issues with vodafail. Every day I get "unable to connect to network" messages, despite my reception indicator being mid to high. Most notable was having an issue where my voicemail was out by an hour during daylight savings, and despite me telling 3 different tech support agents exactly what setting they had to adjust for me (having worked for another telco provider earlier in my career I could tell them the Home MSA needed to be corrected from Sydney to Brisbane) they insisted that it was my iphone causing the issue, talking me through the settings twice (once again despite me advising this had already been done by the previous person and found to be useless). I submitted two complaints via the website, the second of which asked for a supervisor to contact me as I was getting nowhere, and had both closed asking me to call, despite there being wait times of over an hour on the helpdesk. Considering I am in the market to upgrade both my wifes and my phones at present, voda is doing everything in their power to push me to another carrier. Very Very disgruntled customer.

No call whatsoever connects without a reception problem and I live IN THE CITY (Redfern). I call my wife (vodafone to vodafone) and we need to do walkie talkie protocol - now you talk etc - else we get reflections and missing voice. I did NOT sign up to this product and I wont pay for what I got.

It's now gotten to the point where i'm thinking of changing to another provider as my manager at work and other people try to contact me and although i'm in Sydney, apparently i'm not available due to the ridiculous coverage.

4 May 2011 10:44:22 AM: to be honest it's the third last line of your problem that really gets to me too. I had a similar experience. People are generally understanding when telcos have outages or whatever, but it's when they lie about it so extensively that's just totally out of line. "They lie through their teeth". So true.
4 May 2011 03:47:50 PM: My understanding is that the merge of the Voda and 3 networks failed. The companies merged some time ago, but the networks (apparently) merged around Dec 2010).
4 May 2011 08:39:01 PM: The networks are still separate and will be until 2012.

Yesterday afternoon and last night, for at least 6 hours, I could not receive or make any phone calls at all. My text, internet and email were all working, albeit slowly. I had 2 vodafone phones at my disposal and neither worked for calls, at all.
Not only was I unable to make and receive calls, to anyone, anywhere, my incoming calls were variously directed to my voicemail or just beeping out entirely. No missed or received calls were registered of course, so I would have had no idea who was trying to get through. I know for a fact that at least 3 voicemails were left for me yesterday, between midday and midnight - and yet I still have not received them at 9.45 am this morning.
As I was home alone, and I have no home phone, this was a COMPLETELY unacceptable state of affairs - if there had been an emergency, what could I have done??? No phone calls, from 2 phones.
I have taken screenshots of attempts to call out, and call failures, over a few hours period. Reception bars are fine, no problems there apparently...
This happens regularly to me, probably more regularly than I even realise as there is no outward indication that it's even occuring. I am usually informed by text from my partner that he can't get through to my phone, yet again...
So so so unacceptable Vodafail. I will be trying to terminate my contract for breach - I suppose I have to wait for my phone to start working again before I can call Vodafone though, convenient.

my reception at home is so bad i have resorted to skype to make calls. when i call vodafail to complain their call centre can't even hear me and are always saying "hello, are you there, hello"
i intend on asking for at least 50% of all my bills until the network in coogee is fixed. if they refuse i will not pay any bill, leave my contract and send them an invoice for work lost due to their non delivery of contractual obligations.
these guys a jokers.
my reception at home is so bad i have resorted to skype to make calls. when i call vodafail to complain their call centre can't even hear me and are always saying "hello, are you there, hello"

4 May 2011 03:58:30 PM: I was immediately offered 3 months free continued usage when I complained.
I refused (reception too bad) and after a long battle was permitted to leave without penalty.

17651 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is amAzing! at 3 May 2011 08:07:46 PM
Ratshit coverage. If you are in IT join the movement to transfer vodafone sims to another carrier. I did 2 today. Lets hope they feel it at this abysmal excuse for a company.
17649 Someone from TAS thinks vodafone is Extreme at 3 May 2011 06:04:08 PM
Literally non-existant 3G coverage for 99 percent of Hobart. Works at a crawl in the CBD. Have to use 2g to even get a couple of bars at my house. Whats the point of offering smartphones in Tas if the mobile broadband is non existant?
17647 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Vodafail at 3 May 2011 01:51:57 PM
Couldn't access 3G internet on my iphone at the MCG in April, then could not send or receive text messages on Easter, then to rub salt into the wound Vodafail failed to deliver text messages to me on MY BIRTHDAY last weekend. Then suddenly a few texts came through (late) then I had NO SERVICE for calls or text messages for the rest of the day! Need to break this contract and get on a network that works!!!
17645 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Very Fail at 3 May 2011 12:42:54 PM
No network coverage in my house nor at work
17644 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Fail beyond belief at 3 May 2011 12:08:38 PM
There is often no 3G access after the hours of midnight until 4am, even though my phone still detects the presence of their network.
17643 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Absolute fail at 3 May 2011 12:01:09 PM
I have turned off data roaming on my phone. Yet, when I go on roaming in the rural parts of NSW, my network allows me to use data roaming.
Hence I receive a bill with data roaming charges which I should not have accrued.

5 May 2011 03:01:54 AM: Data Roaming on an iPhone relates to overseas roaming. There is no way to switch off data roaming nationally with any provider
17636 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Delayed SMS poor 3g at 2 May 2011 08:43:00 PM
Corporate customer 40+ mobiles. SMS have been delayed, #g doesnt work well if at all.
Poor coverage in rural, we're moving users to other companies. I have no faith in 3 as an option to we're going to Telstra for some for coverage.
Will probably retain 8 or so on VF due to their O/S rates are the best around.
I will move the balance once our contract is finished.

17634 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Poor internet reception at 2 May 2011 07:18:53 PM
I've got pre-paid wireless internet with Vodafail and up until recently, I didn't really have a problem with it. The past few months, the connection drops out continuously and repeatedly and it means I rarely use my laptop these days out of pure frustration! I pay for the service and don't end up using half of it. Annoying!! I would never use Vodofone for anything else in the future.... ever.
3 May 2011 07:10:03 PM: I'm on post-paid with exactly the same problem. I have spent more than 2 hours in total on the phone with Customer Service in the past month over this issue. It was mainly fine until around Feb (I have had wireless broadband since August and its been ok). Signal shows full bars but IMPOSSIBLE to maintain a continuous connection. They keep saying there is no issue with the tower but this is the heart of Melbourne CBD. No credit offered, just weak promises. Tomorrow I am going to crack a head open at Vodafone.
17630 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is horrible. at 2 May 2011 04:57:01 PM
