Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

1221 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Major fail at 20 Dec 2010 02:02:59 PM
I went into my local vodafone shop today. To upgrade my existing plan to get a new iPhone 4 after asking the assistant if they had the 32gb in stock to which he advised yes we do. I told him I would like to upgrade my plan. He flat out refused stating due to a lack of stock upgrades have to be done over the phone. And will be waiting till the new year. I'm sorry but if the store has stock they can't be refusing to sell me a phone because they make less money off of it.
Has anyone else had this issue
Has anyone else had this issue
21 Dec 2010 01:01:24 PM: it isnt an option in store to do an upgrade. this was as of last week. all upgrades for iphones and galaxy s' are to be done over the phone. they will give you a credit of $30 to your bill and a delivery date of sometime in jan. They will give you a more confirmed date over the phone. hope this helped
21 Dec 2010 01:06:31 PM: Yes, sounds familiar! I could have had the iphone4 there and then last Saturday if I'd paid around $850 for it. Had to go through the call centre (35 minutes on hold) then the sales line (another 20 mins on hold) and they still wouldn't place an order for me unless I moved from prepaid to a plan. It took another 25 mins to get that in place. So now I will have an iphone 4 by the end of January. I wish I'd found this website before I placed the order!
21 Dec 2010 02:21:42 PM: It's not like the stores don't want to do it, the system prevents them from doing it, just won't let them procede with an order. So before you start launching into an attack on the staff, remember they don't make the decisions like that.
22 Dec 2010 08:09:39 PM: Sounds like you should be complaining to Apple for deliberately restricting the supply of iphones to keep demand and prices high. To be clear - NO ONE from a company store would refuse to sell you an iphone "because they make less money off of it" than selling outright. Systems permitting they would much rather upgrade you than have you walk out empty-handed. Shortage of iPhone 4 is a WORLDWIDE issue, not just a Vodafone Australia one.
27 Dec 2010 10:20:54 AM: To the guy who placed the order for the iPhone 4 above. You can always cancel your order as you haven't yet received your phone. Just a thought.

1169 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Rubbish Internet at 20 Dec 2010 09:01:09 AM
I haven't had calls drop out (sounds like I'm one of the lucky ones), but the internet access is awful! 3/4 bars of alleged 3G reception and keep getting 'no network connection' or 'the server can't be reached' constantly when I try accessing websites (I'm in the Brisbane CBD, not the middle of nowhere!).
Got so bad I had the firmware re-flashed on my phone because I thought it was a handset problem! Now I know the real cause - thanks for the website

I have been a Vodafone customer for over 10 years, I have never had worse service over the last 6 months, not only at a network level but at a customer service level.

Cant get reception in my house or any of my family's, sent a complaint Via email and was told too bad your in contract. So im paying $50 for 5 gig of data I cant use. Good work Vodafone, your are an epic failure.
1029 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is woeful at 19 Dec 2010 04:16:30 PM
Have been with Vodafone for years with Blackberry devices. Switched to iPhone in March, all was ok, until the past 3 months or so. I now get constant dropouts, and voicemail messages appearing when the phone never rang. I have full bars with the phone next to me, but miss many many calls per day. often the voicemail turns up one or two days later, so my customers think i am rude or ineffactive. Have tried to call Vodafone but whilst on hold, the call keep dropping out so have to start all over again. When i did finally get through i was told there is nothing wrong with the network and must be an iPhone problem. However, we have 4 iPhones in the house, and we al ge drop outs!
1027 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Terrible Service at 19 Dec 2010 04:08:12 PM
Text messages not sending, or not being received when I send them. Multimedia messages being received by others as blank messages. Very slow data speed, especially in congested areas even though I have full signal strength. I tried calling Vodafone and could not get through. I have lodged a complaint online and got an automated response which closed my case. I replied to that and am yet to receive a response. All in all, it is pointless having an iphone if you can't connect to the net with it. Very annoying as I travel a lot for work and am reliant on my phone to stay in touch with my partner. She got upset with me this week because she thought I was ignoring her but turns out my text messages were not getting through. Was a lot better on 3 and I am not sure now why I changed providers . . .

Supposed '3G' data is as slow as dial up. Shocking data service/speeds and impossible to use anywhere near my paid for 1.5Gb of data.
974 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is getting worse at 19 Dec 2010 09:26:37 AM
I'm at Burleigh Waters, near Bond University and use Vodafone's Pocket Wi-Fi on the 8Gb/$39 offering, seems to work fine most of the time, but there have been network issues over the past few weeks with little or no signal and loss of connectivity to the net. Not using them for phone though, have iPhone on 3 with 2Gb of data, I haven't had too many major dramas with it.
Now I know why you usually have to go on a contract, it's to minimise customer attrition due to poor service or competitor activity offering better value. Contracts should be abolishes.

966 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is expensive at 19 Dec 2010 08:46:51 AM
My customers ask why i don't return their calls.
My phone shows no missed calls.
Their phone call logs show that they called me but i never got the call.
Calls drop out all the time & I'm in Brisbane, not a remote area.
Most customers just buy stuff elsewhere when this happens, i know i would.
This is costing me money, pissing off customers, friends & family.
It is plain old poor service.
How often do we see companies grow so rapidly & make such profits that they forget how to provide basic services to their customers?

965 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is better than telstra at 19 Dec 2010 08:43:54 AM
Telstra would have to come somewhere near the top of the hit parade, when it comes to the absence of Customer Service. There just isn't any, the call centre staff just have no answers for any queries, quite often they are very difficult to understand. The whole Customer Help system at Telstra, is designed to not offer help, but just hope you will go away after talking to recorded messages for anything up to half and hour. From what I am told, Optus is only a whisker behind Telstra for their petty hopeless customer service. When is Kevin 07 going to tighten up the way these Telcos operate. They are way beyond what the people expect.
955 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Uber Fail at 19 Dec 2010 07:42:49 AM
Friends and work mates constantly getting messages hours or days late. My voicemail delivering messages hours late - no service here, no service there, and I work in the city and love 5kms out! Full "access" but not pages loading... same old same old Vodafail. Then the other day all service disappeared for 36 hours. Lucky I bought that smart phone! At least it's not just me!
938 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is a joke at 19 Dec 2010 06:55:00 AM
Many black spots on my mobile, even within view of Brisbane city, txt messages often take hours to come through or arrive (some times never) but worse is that when I send txt they often are sent multiple times every couple of minutes and I pay for them. Of course Vodafail tells me it's all in my head and unless I can prove I'm not actually sending these txt I won't be credited.
Last month I purchased a new lap top and now I have a $1200 paper weight thanks to Vodafail's pre-paid wireless modem. I wander around my home trying to get service and sit down where ever I find enough reception to get online. If I'm lucky it won't drop out for an hour or two, but generally even without moving it cuts in and out. I am afraid to do internet banking etc as I do not trust I will keep reception until I complete a transaction. Often at start up I get all sorts of messages like I have to activate my sim before I can use it or it can't find a network or it won't even allow me to click the connect button. Again, Vodafone tells me there is absolutely no service problems in my street and I can confirm that by checking their service coverage map. Apparently it is the fault of my new laptop and I should take it back to where I purchased it from. Surely contract law would be on our side as we are not getting what we are paying for, but really, who has the time or money to fight them? This is what they count on; that we will all just give up......I also contacted my bank to see if I could stop my direct debit and they told me I can't, only Vodafail can request to cancel it. So I can't even stop Vodafail from taking my money!

We live within viewing distance of the centre of Brisbane - but have *NO* mobile reception inside our house (NOT just 3G - NO RECEPTION). There is barely any reception outside the house - we have to drive a block or two to get decent reception.
The clincher is when I called Vodafone's "Customer Service" - and explained my issue to the 10 different people I talked to - all of whom (a) obviously were not in this country and (b) did not know where BRISBANE was..(!!!!!)
It's a sad day when Telstra is the better alternative..!!

Locked out of my account on the web site (again....) despite correct user credentials. Had to call to get unlocked. Was kept on hold for more than 1 hour. Don't expect same service as more expensive telcos, but do expect value for money. If they can't lift their game very quickly will move to another telco.

Been with vodafone for about a year now and can't wait for my contract to finish. Keep getting that annoying "network lost" message ony phone...and I live in metro Brisbane for christ sake. Voice mail messages come through days after they were left. "3G" is slower than dial up most of the time. I don't even bother making calls in the CBD cos all u get is the busy signal\call failed message. Coverage drops out all the time round the city. Usless ba$tards.
859 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is quite at 18 Dec 2010 04:12:24 PM
Wouldn't it be very good to have a website like this for all telcos. I doubt they would ever read it or worry about customer feedback, but at least we would know that we were not alone in getting treated like dirt by the telco's.
858 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is a bit of a worry at 18 Dec 2010 04:11:09 PM
my concern with all this is that there are current plans for Vodafone and 3 to merge. Some months ago 3% all of its customer service to Manila and immediately the bum dropped out of the service levels and as a businessman running my entire operation on three Mobile it scares the beJesus out of me in terms of ongoing connectivity. Problematically, I think that like all telcos, service is the very last thing they worry about.

730 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is very inconsistent at 18 Dec 2010 06:49:39 AM
I have an iphone 3GS with Voda. It's very slow to get a 3G signal even in built up areas, frequently reverting to slower connections. But my biggest annoyance is that even with a strong 3G signal it often half-loads a webpage and then stops. Several refreshes of the page, closing/opening Safari or resetting the iphone are required. On my wifes iphone on voda it is not unusual for text messages to be 1-2 days late. It's funny how we have been complaining for months and it turns out we are not alone. It has even brought me to the point of saying I will have to switch to Telstra for a better network - who would have thought?
727 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Execrably at 18 Dec 2010 06:28:50 AM
Wireless broadband, speed/utility atrocious, with ample funds available credit card not debited Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec 09. Service disconnected Xmas 09. Call Centre advised software issues, authorised them to debit same card for total amount and done ok. I called voda early March to advise update CC number, asked plethora of privacy questions culminating with 'what's the mobile number of the sim?" gave them that and they said they had no record of that mobile number, therefore couldn't update CC number. Anticipating disconnection I rang Virgin and got a wireless modem from them, voda service disconnected non-payment May '10. Sept '10 I receive a letter from a voda debt collection agency for $380. I immediately logged on to Telecommunications Ombudsman webite and lodged a complaint, this activity alone costs voda $$$'s and they must resolve my complaint within 10 business days or the cost to them escalates. I was contacted by voda on bus day 7 and the issue was resolved to my exact requirements. [http://www.tio.com.au/]
712 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Switch to Vodafone Wirless broadband from "3" at 18 Dec 2010 04:54:55 AM
What a Joke. I recently received a Brochure from Vodafone saying that they and "3" are now part of the same family and wanted me to switch my Wireless Broadband from "3" to them because they could offer me BETTER COVERAGE than "3" in the area I live in on the Gold Coast.
I set up the "switch" with Vodafone and the USB & SIM card duly arrived. After 6 hours on the phone to Vodafone THEY could NOT give me a connection at all. I can only thank my lucky stars that I didn't "port" my "3" mobile sim phone No to them otherwise I wouldn't have been able to continue using my "3" wireless broadband. To put it quite clearly - "3" is not the best mobile broadband BUT it is certainly heaps better than the Vodafone experience that I went through.
A gentle reminder to everyone - "Don't fix what ain't broke".

I have had a Telstra Mobile for as long as I can remember, and I never really understood the "paying for the premium" line they used to use when the bill came in. But I would happily pay double at Telstra to ensure my mobile works. I have no coverage at home, suffer 25 - 30 drop outs a day and the data service is just no existant. It got to a point today that I had to make a phone call i took the sim out of my pre paid Telstra Next G Broadband modem and put that in my phone to make the call. Voicemail messages days late, txt msg's just not arriving or going and when the call is connected, the quality is just shyte.... Give me Telstra any day of the week!
570 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Failed As at 17 Dec 2010 07:42:35 PM
Vodafone were charging bills for upto 800 dollars per month as I went from prepaid to plan. It is way over what I expected and I was on the Mega Cap 149 a month. Vodafone agreed it was excessive and agreed to put me back on PRE-PAID and drop the 900 dollar disconnection FEE. They said once you receive your bill and tell us that we agreed to drop the charge. I did that and no one has record of me speaking to the customer service manager SAM which I spoke to. I told them to get fucked and now they put a black mark against my name cause I didn't want to pay to 2 thousand dollar bill.
Fuck they can screw you around. That has basically destroyed my life and future for the next how many years of borrowing. Fucking Heartless fagots. Its basically criminal behavior that's legal. I will murder a person from Vodafone for this.

525 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is A Merry Go Round at 17 Dec 2010 06:57:16 PM
Fought a seven month pitch battle with Vodafail over a number of issues you are all aware of - voicemail coming in weeks late; phone not receiving inbound calls although you have reception; not able to make calls out (i.e. call failure) although you have 5 bars; data so slow it's not worth using (wifi hotspots for me!). Their 'help desk' tried the usual: a) put me on hold forever; b) told me the usual 'something wrong with your phone routine - not their network c) become the trouble shooter for vodafone network issues - yey sure if you pay me I can do that (i.e. document time/place and get them to call you as the problem is occuring - sure if I didn't have to wait an hour I could do that!); d) keep you on the 'help desk' merry go round until you just quit and give up. Well for me it just pissed me off more, and I finally got out of my contract last week. Although the funny thing was that when speaking with their 'help desk' to finally get rid of the contract two days ago, the phone dropped out three times, although I had 3 bars reception (after waiting an hour and a half each time to talk to them as well, sure this was the final way of Vodafail to stop me getting out of my contract!). Gone Telstra now ... at least I have good coverage and I can receive and make calls now!

471 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is It Hasn't at 17 Dec 2010 05:10:46 PM
Well, there is really only one Telco in Australia. All the others are just playing at it. Drive metres out of the CBD of any capital in Australian and you will get nothing with all but the big T. Solution? Ditch the big V.
470 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is WORST TELCO EVER!!!! at 17 Dec 2010 05:10:45 PM
after talking to a CSR about network issues cause little to no coverage the second you step inside a building and how the EDGE network seems to actually work BETTER then the 3G network for data, he assured me that it was a problem being looked at and fixed. he also said he would have a technician look into the reception issues inside any buildings and he him contact me the following monday, it WAS 4 WEEKS before he got back to me!!!
vodafone isnt a dog asshole let alone a mobile telco!!!!!

386 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Service? What Service? at 17 Dec 2010 03:21:29 PM
My professionalism has been compromised by Vodafone's failed 'service' - both the mobile with constant, constant dropouts, despite being in Brisbane and when trying to talk the company. The automated response service is guaranteed to drop you out too if you have the termerity (and time) to wait out the lengthy process so you can speak to an operator. I've never succeeded yet, even though I've spent hours working my way through the automated response system. And, should you think email may work, it can take 6 weeks to get a response and then all you'll get is what's on the website. I'm moving now my contract is up.
382 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is It's not me, it's my network at 17 Dec 2010 03:18:41 PM
For months now I've been told by my partner and friends how bad my phone is and that it must have been dropped a million times to be so bad. (can I just say I've only dropped it once and that was from a desk, hardly a big fall).
I drop out of most calls after 5mins. I get little signal indoors (live and work in the CBD!!!) and my voicemail don't work properly. It also usually takes me at least two go's to make a call. God forbid I be in an emergency...
I brought up the issue with a Vodafone store once and was told it was my phone and to call the service centre, ha! Sorry I don't have 3 hours to sit on hold only to be told there is nothing wrong!
Great Job vodafone, you ignore your loyal customers and pretend it's their fault. Such a useless company...

I cannot make phone calls to my customers without several drop-outs. This is ridiculous. I want answers and I want them now.
358 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Extreme Fail at 17 Dec 2010 03:01:18 PM
Overcharged, sick of calling the Helldesk and Lara putting me through to someone in the Phillipines who doesn't have a clue and then getting disconnected due to coverage issues and network dropouts and having to start all over again. I have several screenshots of full signal to NO SERVICE within the same minute. I live in an inner suburb and cannot sustain a conversation for more than 20 secs without having losses or full dropouts. As soon as I can I will leave and never return - VHA you are a MEGA-FAIL!!
356 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is it is ridiculous at 17 Dec 2010 03:00:15 PM
Vodafone's service on the Sunshine Coast is ridiculous. Very often nearly every day there is NO SERVICE or if I am near a place called Castaway Beach, Sunshine Beach or even Noosa Heads my phone calls drop out. I find it so frustrating as I am ofent on Business calls for my work.Get your ACT together Vodafone you are going to loose a lot of customers....
351 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Epic at 17 Dec 2010 02:55:04 PM
Vodafone doesn't work in city shopping malls, CBD dropouts, etc. Our 3G datacard rarely gets above 1mbps - true, better than dial up but kind of frustrating for the Gold Coast region.
327 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Piece Of Shit at 17 Dec 2010 02:47:59 PM
Vodafone would have to be the worst provider in the world! I purchased a brand new phone which had no signal from the start, they sent it away to get fixed and 4 months later with a loan phone I was told that they had lost it. What useless pieces of shit! It is more reliable to send a text via snail mail then through Vodafone.

325 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Not at all. at 17 Dec 2010 02:46:46 PM
No Pain for me, the only time my phone had dropped a call was when i drove underground in the CBD, but that's a given.
324 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is cant organise a direct debit at 17 Dec 2010 02:46:30 PM
I have been with VF for about a year. Recently my credit card expired and bounced their direct debit request. No big deal right ? Just let me know and then get the new numbers. Nope. How about instead of that we just let your mobile phone debt rack up to 500, then cut off your phone.
I have spoken to their "help" desk people on three occasions (none of those calls less than an hour), and each time they have "fixed" the problem, and each time the problem has magically reappeared a month later.
Its going to cost me about 600 to get out of vodafone. Seriously BEST money ill ever spend to never have to deal with this useless f*cking company again

272 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Unusable at 17 Dec 2010 02:24:57 PM
Performance is just getting worse. For years I have used Vodafone in Brisbane, but the last few months, i constantly get drop outs, and even when my phone is next to me, I get missed calls & voice mail, when the phone has never rung. When i finally did get through to Vodafone I was told systems are working normally and I must be in a black spot or the iPhone is faulty. I'm not in a blackspot, and when I contacted Apple, for various reasons said it could NOT be the phone. So stuck using an unusable carrier that is impacting on my business.
219 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is About as big as a fail can get! at 17 Dec 2010 02:04:36 PM
After 12 months of bad coverage, and several months of a basically unusable service I am finally free of what I have come to call Vodashit. Who cares that they are cheap, when you can't use their service!
185 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is You get what you pay for! at 17 Dec 2010 01:54:02 PM
For those who are complaining, you get what you paid for. I went on Telstra NextG and just blue myself in the Bigpond!
177 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Shocking at 17 Dec 2010 01:52:42 PM
I rang VF about a dodgy modem, no luck. Went to their store, useless, and rude. Complained on twitter and got a response. Got a solution.... Waited....waited....called them...no record of the call.... Resubmitted.... Waited.... Waited.... Rang them... No record of the call...waited (needles and sadly to say this happened four times), still waiting. I suggest if you have a complaint, put it on twitter, that is the only way they respond... Public humiliation.
175 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is 10 out of 10 at 17 Dec 2010 01:52:22 PM
I work in noosaville Qld. Cannot get reception in middle of office! Pathetic. I go home to Weyba Downs which is some 12km away: no reception on freeway, no reception on road, very very poor reception - only on balcony - at home. Called them time and time and do nothing. Vodafone sucks big time. A disgrace.
174 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is The worst at 17 Dec 2010 01:52:18 PM
I moved away from Vodafone over 8 months ago. My account is still in credit and I receive regular statements and sms telling me I am still in credit. Despite numerous requests for a refund of this credit amount, nothing has happened. They have my money and I can't have it back ~ be warned ~ once they get your money they don't want to give it back.
21 Dec 2010 06:18:42 PM: Hang on, "once they get your money they don't want to give it back."
Is that why you keep getting statements and text messages?

84 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Beyond a joke Fail at 17 Dec 2010 01:21:56 PM
We live in Brisbane, near the city and we're lucky to get 1 bar of reception. My car broke down one night and I had to walk to a convenience store to use their phone as my Mobile refused to connect my calls. Calls drop out all of the time, missed my dream job as the Boss rang me (my phone didn't even ring) advising me I had gained the job in a Voicemail, which I didn't receive until 3 days letter. They thought I was not interested and thus offered it to somebody else. My husband is self employed as a Driving Instructor and his mobile is his office. IT NEVER WORKS! I dread the day he has an accident and I don't hear about it.
Waiting on hold for 40 mins and finding out "Lara" has put you through to the wrong department and then waiting another 40 minutes while they connect you.
Paying premium dollars for nothing.
I don't get that we have to meet our end of the contract and pay on time yet they can provide absolutely nothing and that's okay.
Not being able to terminate is crazy. We signed another contract so we could upgrade handsets, as they blamed everything poor on the Nokia N97, upgraded thinking everything would be better with the Iphone and it's just as bad.
So over it! We get treated like crap and that's okay.
Don't get me started on the overseas call centre who you can barely understand!!!!
I want out Vodafone!!!

22 Dec 2010 09:31:01 PM: Vodafone obviosuly was created just to make ur life hell. That is exactly what they want to do....
28 Dec 2010 09:46:00 AM: I have been a Vodafone customer on prepaid for over 5 years. A year ago I decided to upgrade and go on an Iphone plan, that's when all the problems started. 2 months into my plan my phone had massive faults and had to be replaced. 6 months after that my replacement Iphone had to be replaced due to a faulty switch. Just before the end of my first year my replacement phone was having massive reception issues (my husband had slightly better reception on his Nokia). I had VERY limited reception in Brisbane city and in most locations on Brisbane North-side. I rang up Vodafone and argued with them over several days and they finally agreed it was their problem (I reply on my phone for work). They agreed to replace my Iphone for a Nokia. Since replacing my phone again (phone 4) in just over a year, I STILL get VERY POOR reception. I'm very unhappy and I want out. I am over poor quality handsets, poor reception and lack of customer service.

39 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is so clos t going at 17 Dec 2010 12:48:40 PM
I was told the issues were with my handset so being a 10 year + customer I stupidly believed them until I got my new handset last week what a surprise same crap - calls dropped, sms not received or sent, no 3G in the middl of Brisbane!
31 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Worse than queensland rail. at 17 Dec 2010 12:43:12 PM
Fucking useless phone company; can barely get 3G data performance, and I'm lucky if calls coming in to my phone don't go straight to voicemail. As for SMS messages, well, actually sending and receiving them is like playing russian roulette.
I rang up and complained and they said they'd give me a free HTC Desire HD - two months ago. Can't be bothered ringing up again for now.

21 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Very at 16 Dec 2010 12:57:19 PM
No 3G coverage and one bar of 2G in an area of QLD that Vodafail's own Coverage checkers says full Mobile Broadband Service. Rang to complain, spoke to the brainless tech who can only spout the usual list of questions/suggestions. Eventually the case is escalated where the response won't be for 5-7 days!!
17 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Hit & Miss at 16 Dec 2010 06:13:22 AM
I run a small business, been with vodafail for 14mths, can't wait for the two years to be up to go else where maybe telstra. Have to lock my mobile into 2g as 3g coverage is a hit & miss on the gold coast. when my mobile goes from 2g to 3g no sooner it it switches back to 2g but with a lag to reconnect results in been offline for minutes, miss calls sms very common. I bet vodafail will tell me its my mobile, but then alot of other people on the coast have had the same issues. Go choke vodafail.
14 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is massive at 15 Dec 2010 08:54:25 PM
Used vodafone 3G as a temporary connection while changing ADSL. Bearly got above 4 kB/s. If that wasn't bad enough, when it came time to close my account they tried to charge me for more than the minimum term. One call to the TIO fixed the fail.
12 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Pathetically Fail at 15 Dec 2010 08:08:46 PM
Coverage is non existent, You pay for 3G and end up with 2G which on a smartphone is nothing short of an insult. No internet converage. Gets page cannot be displayed for the past two days. Call centre staff attempt to talk over the top of you. Trying to stuff you about as they say they are trying to help. Help yea right. They know its their service not the sim card. Total denial there is an issue. I have experienced call drop outs, not being able to make a call, the promise of full 3G signal and having no service at all. Vodafone is more hassle than they are worth and more stress than anyone should endure.
10 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is good for fucking up jobs! at 15 Dec 2010 02:37:13 PM
Thank you Vodafone for single handedly fucking up any chance of a job. Your phone service in Brisbane has fully died on my iPhone 3GS (AGAIN) and I couldn't call a taxi to get to the train cause my bus was late. This is NOT the first time it's happened and I've tried resetting and it's a constant issue. How much will it cost to terminate my contract and get away from your shit service?
24 Dec 2010 09:51:16 AM: TIO WILL GET YOU OUT FOR FREE.
28 Dec 2010 09:06:36 PM: They ended up giving me a new iPhone no questions asked and now my service is working fine again. In fact I can now get more than 1 bar of reception with the new handset. So I actually think it was the handset not the reception in the area that I lived in.
21 Jan 2011 09:25:03 AM: Iphone is rubbish.
9 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is More smelly than my socks at 15 Dec 2010 01:43:15 PM
I have a query about my bill, Vodafone say they have listened and now for billing enquiries they are open 24 hours a day.
Vodafone state that 80% of calls are answered within 20 seconds!
Spent over a total of 12 hours on the phone and not once have spoken to a human being.
Shameful.

i didn't think and switched from optus to vodafone, ever since i have had slow mobile browsing call drop outs and no signal at all in an area promised to have full 3g signal, i never thought mobile internet could get slower than optus but how wrong was i, and instead of displaying a full high quality image when using vodafones network it displays a low quality pixelated image.

30 Dec 2010 07:56:53 PM: Finally people are sinking their teeth into companies taking money for nothing.
21 Jan 2011 09:23:13 AM: You're a racist idiot. Onshore or offshore makes no difference if you don't have non-racist courtesy. Have you tried to call Telstra or Foxtel CC lately? If you took the time to actually listen and explain your problem well enough then they might be able to help but no doubt your just a racist bogan who can't help but get abusive and angry because you have no self control.
