26 Mar 2012 - Update Highest Rated Pain Stories Highest Rated Gain Stories Vodafail Local Facebook Page
Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

Spent over and hour in voda store this morning trying to upgrade iphone, waited 15 minutes to be served, was sent to post office to pay latest bill, came back with receipt as asked, waited a further 35 minutes to be served, only to be told to come back during the week as it is Sat and billing department required was closed. WTF!! Just wasted another hour of my live with Vodafone. Only went instore after 4 failed attempts to talk to anyone I could understand in their call centre. It's a sign....time to move on.

18744 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Feedback to Vodaphone at 15 Jul 2011 11:35:25 PM
I was cold-called one saturday morning by someone from Vodaphone when I was still with 3, and told by the rep that Vodaphone had bought 3 and as a result all their customers were being "encouraged" to move to Vodaphone. He had my access details, phone plan details, and full account information, and identified Vodaphone plans that would provide everything plus more that our 3 accounts would. I had concerns about the Vodaphone network since we have several friends who have experienced such poor reception that they have moved to another network - he "looked up" our address and told us our signal would be much better. He also made the transfer sound painless since it would be an internal transfer.
The deal sounded like it was inevitable since 3 and Vodaphone were going to be the same, everyone would have to transfer sometime, and everything would be matched or better than for 3, so I signed up. We received SIM cards in the mail about a week later, and switched over.
We had some initial problems with MMS messages because no one told us that our phone settings needed to be changed for the new network, the staff in our local Vodaphone store fixed this for us.
Whilst in the store I have learned that one of the key features of the 3 deal is not available under Vodaphone - with 3 when you are overseas on a 3 network in that country your calls are considered as though you are in Australia - which was attractive since we travel to the UK and Europe and want that feature, this is apparently not available on Vodaphone.
I have also just been charged over $900 by 3 for leaving thir network without telling them. They will refund it but only after a long and heated discussion with them. Basically Vodaphone salesman sold the deal as though it was one company, and you would take care of the transfer - BUT 3 levy a large charge unless their customers inform them, which I didn't do since I was told that this wasn't necessary. Whilst I will be refunded I will have the inconvenience of no money until it is refunded, and have incurred bank charges for going overdrawn - which is unfair since Vodaphone have caused this.
AND, apart from all the hassle I have had to do (and am still dealing with) to effect a "seamless internal" transfer my wife has such poor receotion in her place of work that her mobile is useless during the day. Since she works in the centre of Perth city approx 50m from your nearest store this doesn't reflect well on your network. I have also experienced far more dropouts and low signals than I ever had with 3.
My main complaint is that your salesteam made it sound like there was no option but to switch, that the switch would be completely painless, and that every aspect of our current contracts would be the same or better. If it had been just a telesales I would have hung up, but they had full access to 3's systems and therefore sounded very official.
As a result of your actions I feel very strongly that we have been lied to, and wish that I had never taken your call. Since your network is worse than 3's in the centre of Perth, South Perth, and Victoria Park it is virtually useless for us. I would like to switch back to 3 - but since it will become Vodaphone in the future this is pointless, and means that we will no have option but to transfer to Telstra.

I would appreciate your comments, an apology for your telesales team, and an assurance that 3 customers will not be contacted in this way again. I have complained to 3 about this and will follow up with them.
29 Jul 2011 11:17:29 PM: Thank you so much for posting your comment. My husband and I are "3" customers who have been cold called by Vodaphone and encouraged to transfer across (& as you've highlighted, they have implied that this transfer is inevitable). We will not be changing our current contact, based on your experience!!! (& will change services once our current contract expires or the 3 service declines).

As of 48hrs ago I was smacked with a $900 bill...
I have a $45 unlimited plan with 1gb of data per month. The bill was not for excess calls/sms etc but rather for going over the data limit. The interesting thing is when you work out the $900 in terms of how many mb of data over the limit i was it turns out to be close to 5gb. Even more interesting is the fact that records of data transfer for this month show that in the handfull of times i have accessed the net the data usage was at most 500kb. Then all of a sudden on 10/7/11 there is a massive 1.5 gb spike in data usage - this alone obvsiously exceeds my monthly data limit. However on 3 other occassions there over the next 24 hours I apparently downloaded files as big as 1.8gb.

I have the same applications on my phonw i have had for the last 6mo when i first entered the contract and at no other time have i has issues with data limits. And yet i had vodafone service attendants telling me it was me. I replied with the question of why would I knowingly go over the limit by an extra 4gb? Of course the customer service rep was silent and offered to slash $200 off the hefty $900 bill to which i replied thats a start now lets address the remaining $700. I checked the download records on my phone itself and apart from a 100mb operating system upgrade last month (outside of this billing period) i have no other updates that were downloaded so it wasnt due to automatic software updates either...even if it was, what bloody phone app needs software updates in the order of 4gb? In short the problem has yet to be solved and im waiting for a call back from one of the customer service managers. Any ideas on how to tackle this or any similar stories please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated
15 Jul 2011 08:53:29 AM: Have you gone to the TIO (details on the how to complain page)? When you make a complaint through them Vodafone will change their town and be a bit more helpful. You can also dispute a bill through the TIO so hopefully they can look into the situation and reduce it even more.

Goodluck!

18691 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Serious Fail! at 12 Jul 2011 03:54:54 PM
I have been with vodafone for 4 months.

Firstly, I never have phone reception, and I live 15 mins drive from perths city centre. I recently went to visit my mother in south australia, had 6 people around the table everyone had FULL bars of reception on different networks, I was lucky to get 1 bar, the whole 4 weeks I was there I had to call everyone who had called me back when I went for a drive.... This resulted in a $600 phone bill!! Rang them and they couldnt do anything for me.

Secondly, I asked vodafone to notify me when my bill got to $50, $100, etc. so I could monitor my usage. First month yep they did that, then stopped and I ended up with a massive bill, as far as I was aware I was still under my cap! Rang and complained all they could do was give me 10% off the bill.... Wasn't happy, not good enough!

Now I am not receiving my bills via email, rang to get this sorted and yep they have the right email address, and apparently theyre definantly sent got told to check my spam folder but I already had, I got a "well we cant help you then" ... Not impressed!

Not getting texts or emails about my bills how am I supposed to pay it? They just keep cutting my phone off without warning! I need my phone for work and I am losing business from it.

Im pretty sure contracts go both ways, they provide a service, I pay them for that service.... Theyre not providing me with a service at all! Not getting phone reception, my bill, any sort of customer service at all! Ive had more than enough and I WANT OUT OF MY CONTRACT!!!!!

Last time I rang them the guy on the other end couldnt understand what I was saying and I got that frustrated I ended up abusing him and hanging up!

I was lucky, 5 months ago I got out of a new 24 month contract due to the abysmal level of vodafone period.

Yet still to this day the send me SMS to tell me that THEY OWE ME money on my last bill... FFS pay me the money, you have my bank details, you have all me normal details, stop sending me SMS to tell me to pay a negative amount of money

11 Jul 2011 05:30:49 AM: Same thing happened to me! Very irritating, my amount was for -$0.01.

I used to get texts at 3 am.

Tried resolving it amicably to no avail and I ended up going to the TIO.

Man from Vodafail said it is their flawed accounting system, apparently a negative balance has to be set up for a customer to leave Vodafail, generating -$0.01 bills.

Strange but true.

I come under my mothers contract so I haven't had to deal with most of vodafone's crap! But months and months ago,, vodafone charged my mothers bill twice to her account. When she realised she called straight away, and the customer service was so bad she wanted to rip her own hair out! No one would help her.. So now, months later, my mum is still paying her bills minus the amount they charged her twice for. That's all she can do in the matter. That money has been technically overdue for months but no one has contacted her. GOOD ONE GUYS!

I'm not even going to start about the crappy coverage.

18586 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is EXTREME FAIL at 1 Jul 2011 11:27:36 AM
I have extremely poor coverage both at my home, uni and work. In April I called vodafone and they said they would give me 6 months off my bill and that the upgrade in my area would occur in July. They stated that AT ANY TIME before the end of July I could cancel my contract free of charge and send the phone back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Reception in my area is still terrible, I have also been overcharged $10.00 a month for a pack I didn't approve. I canceled the pack, one month later it was back on the bill. I canceled it again and was charged an early exit fee without my knowledge and after explaining I never approved this. Due to shocking coverage, phone calls dropping out and then poor service I called to cancel my contract. This morning I was told that Vodafone reneged on their contracts as on 25/6/11. I cannot understand how they are allowed to do this!

Can't connect to to the vodafone.com.au order tracking. The drones in Mumbai who seem to be on every one of the many numbers I've called are useless, claiming no knowledge of it, even suggesting to "try again in a few hours". Most of them hang up or put me through to a number that has nothing to do with my complaint. If I can get through I may just cancel my order.

I changed my plan to the "All Time" Plan or whatever it is called. It gives me infinite texts, infinite calls to vodafone numbers, 250mb of data, free access to facebook, twitter and tumblr. But when I am at school (and I don't care that I shouldn't be using my phone at school) it comes up with a sending error on all of my messages. Then my boyfriend's texts don't come through to me, then he tells me that he recieved the same message 5 times. And I tried to resend the text 5 times. So it's a good thing I have infinite texts or I'd have no credit left. I also cannot access me 'free facebook' as my facebook app has never worked, and the internet will not load when I am at school. Not m.facebook.com, not www.facebook.com, not anything. I am seeing Vodafone tomorrow and will be ripping them a new hole because of the inconvenience they have caused me. I am contemplating changing to Telstra.

18394 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is getting poor at 13 Jun 2011 03:16:02 PM
i have been using 3.com for mobile phone service for about 6 years now and has been doing good job until recently (since early this year)i found the network coverage is getting poor. now it is hardly i can make a stable phone call inside my house as it will goes off anytime and I have to go outside the house to make phone call. This was NEVER happen before.

I was wondering the reason behind and only recently i found out that 3.com is no longer solely exist but has combined with Vodafone. I am not sure if this is the factor behind it but certainly i have had enough to this.
Cetainly i don't want to talk outside the house especially during winter night.

After couple of months of waiting after complaint to the customer service hopefully this issue can be rectified but unfortunately I can see no improvement.

So i have decided to switch to other mobile operater and i don't mind to pay extra for better network coverage.

After complaining to the Ombudsman we had our plan finally terminated with Vodafone with no exit fees.
We joined another provider and after setting up my phone I was told that my phone was locked with Vodafone and that they were the only ones that could unlock it. I went to Vodafone in the Galleria Morley and was told by a smug sales person that my phone was not locked and that it was a problem my phone. He said that I needed to take it back to company that makes the phone for them to look at it. When I picked up the phone I was told that there was nothing wrong with my phone and that it was locked by Vodafone. I went back to Vodafone in the Galleria and spoke to another sales person who said that it WAS locked by Vodafone and it would cost me $25 to have it unlocked. He then said that the phone will probably not work because it is not Next G compatible and that I should by a new phone. I went away and came back the next day and asked him to unlock it. Well guess what? The phone works better than before and I feel that he was just trying to get me to buy a new phone from him. My experience with Vodafone has been nothing but frustrating and timewasting. Their sales people dont even know what is going on and gave me misleading information. I will never be going back to Vodafone

I have been with Vodafone for nearly a year and in the middle of my credit it just cut out. I went to make a call and it said insufficient funds so I sent a txt to tell me how much credit I have and it says that you need to put credit on your account before you can use this service instead of telling me when i need to recharge by. Its time to change providers

18295 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is EXORBITANT at 4 Jun 2011 11:07:00 PM
Until recently, I have had 2 years of relatively happy iPhone 3GS use on Vodafone's 3G network; As I am now finding, the seemingly unavoidable delayed voice messages, mysterious missing text(s) delivered hours/days later, poor signal in apparently well-covered areas (as demonstrated in Vodafone's 3G signal coverage literature availabe at their high street shops), and painfully slow internet/data connection speeds were not isolated to "just poor old me".

BUT recent pains are far greater, and have increased significantly with this emerging issue of "BATERY LIFE". My iPhone 3GS started to fail miserably, apps were crashing, restarting, freezing etc and Google Maps was pathetic. So i took the phone to Apple, they checked it out and althogh they couldn't find the source of the errors, they replaced it for $250.00. Generous enough, I thought.

Thinking the problem could lie at the hands of my service provider, I apprached Vodafone and talked with a customer service rep in a City branch store. He checked and apparently I had an "old" SIM card, the same one I had when taking out my original contract some 3+ years previous. Advised by this representatove of Vodafone, I took my new SIM and restarted my iPhone with marginal improvement.

Then I went on holiday for 6 weeks to the UK whereby my iPhone sat dormant apart as a phone, instead provoding my entertainment on train journeys as a games machine (Tiger Woods golf) and functinooing as my music device.

So 6 weeks later I return to Aus and connect back to Vodafone's network. And to my surprise, my battery was dead in 2.5 - 3 hours. Every day. With no apps functioning. And if I used apps such as mapping or GPS, or dared to enter conversation with fellow mobile phone users, the battery life would visibly tick diwn under observation.

Anticipating the end was nigh for my "new" 3GS, and not wanting to go to Apple for another $250 replacement which may go the same way, I went to Vodafone and upgraded my contract (FREE as I'd reached 21 months) and opted for a HTC Desire HD. Now the battery life on this thing is SHOCKING. But I wonder how much this is to do with teh service provider as my iPhone (now simply an iPod and games machine) battery now lasts up to 9 days on standby which includes iPod use. Now this is shocking - no SIM - 9 days; with SIM (no apps or usage) 3 hours. SOmething is definiitely wrong here. now the HTC deviceis an interesting one too; Friends of mine have the same phone without the battery life problems. And no-one else I know with iPhone 3GS OR iPhone 4 has the battery life issues i have observed and documented.

Is there a problem related to the service provider's SIM card and battery life? Has anyone found this in their area? My evidence is absolutely clear and unequivocal (9 days versus 3 hours) and I guess I wuold like to know more about it.. Any suggestions??
5 Jun 2011 06:11:40 PM: Do you live in a poor 3g coverage area? If your spending a lot of time in a poor coverage area your phone may be constantly searching for a better signal, changing base stations and switching between 3g and 2g, as it struggles to maintain a good signal whilst prioritising 3g.
11 Jun 2011 05:32:54 PM: OMG I have the exact same problem with battery life. I have samsung galaxy S and my battery only last a few hours with no applications open. If i make a phone call it will prob last 2,3hrs. I have to charge everyday. SO BAD. I originally thought there was somefin wrong with my phone. But looks like its a voda prob.

5 Jun 2011 07:17:38 PM: I would recommend first contacting Vodafone to try to fix the matter, and when they don't fix it (which is highly likely), contact the Telecommunications Ombudsman at www.tio.com.au and then they can help you out :)

I have been experiencing drop-outs mid phone calls, delays in sending and receiving texts, my reception totally disappearing for several minutes only to come back for a second and disappear again, connection error messages when trying to make calls when my reception bars are showing I have some reception, and my battery dying after only a few hours for several months now. I went into a Vodafone store and was given a new SIM card and told this would fix the problem. It didn't. I went into a Vodafone store again and spoke to someone at Customer Service when I asked to terminate my contract. The person on the phone told me I didn't need to terminate my contract and that he had a solutiong for me. He passed me on to a technician who changed my Network Settings in my phone. This made my reception issues WORSE! I have since contacted the TIO and within 15 minutes they emailed me saying they had forwarded my complaint on to Vodafone. It has now been over 72 hours since I contacted the TIO and I haven't heard a single thing from Vodafone. I just want out of my contract, and to be with a provider who can give me reception and a phone that works! :(
3 Jun 2011 10:28:33 PM: Do not worry.....you will definitely get a response from Vodafail in 10 business days - if not go back to the TIO with your original reference number - Vodafail get 'fined'more $ for not responding.

6 Jun 2011 08:08:47 AM: Vodafail, as a rule only, usually leave the complaint until day 9 or 10.

My wife and I signed up for a vodafone accopunt last year on the pretext of free vodafone to vodafone calls. Tell you what, most of the time, I can't get through to my wife because the message says that her phone is off. But that's not true, because her phone is never off and she never got any calls. I would say I could get through about 50% of the time. Moreover, I can never get service to surf the net on my phone. Might as well stay in the office and get T1 broadband. Absolute vodafail. My only conclusion is that it is one, or more of the following:

A) They lack intelligence
B) They struggle with our dialect
C) They are uneducated and aren't trained extensively even though they are supposed to be the experts

18064 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is only good use: This is the phone you give your toddler to play with, doesnt matter if they make a call it WONT work!!! at 21 May 2011 12:13:11 AM
Call after call made to Vodafone for help as the website said i have coverage yet i was getting none, time after time it was something wrong on my end: the SIM card is too old, so i replace it, the phone must be faulty so i buy a new one, doesn't work, so they tell me it must still be the phone, i inform them it is a BRAND NEW Vodafone phone (which then proceeded to freeze and not work sent it away to get fixed comes back worse), i assure them it has VODAFONE written on the damn thing, They then tell me it needs turning off and then turning back on, so i do this repeatedly - nothing. SMS's not going through or when they did it was in the dead of night, I get informed that there has always been service for my location and i need to recheck the internet and make sure i know where i am located(my locations spanded 2 towns i might add, from my house to my work NILL coverage at all, and yeah i think i know where i am located)
This went on for 3 years, the last straw during a call while expressing my frustration with the person assuring me the problem is on my end not theirs they hung up on me! In the end the decision to change phone providers was an easy one when A) i couldnt call emergency services when there was a fire in the middle of summer, location of the fire: next to a gas pipe line and B) When a car slammed head on doing 100km an hour into a Truck, luckily there were others there with RELIABLE providers. As much as i hate hate hate Telstra at least i know that i can make calls that could save a life. Do yourself a favor DO NOT GO WITH VODAFONE NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY MAKE IT SOUND, YOU WILL BE SORRY.

Although where I live now, I do get reception.. But my phone tends to cut out a lot, I lose service quickly.. But I can turn my phone off and on and it's back.. Which is annoying but manageable.

I'm moving to a new suburb. I don't get ANY reception at all. Today on the phone, the man was nice enough to give me 3 months of free billing.. While they "investigate" the no service crap. So.. Rather then cancelling my contract.. They make me stay with them for 3 extra months while I don't have service? How does that work? I'm annoyed and sick of not getting answers. WTF!

Hi

I am facing lot of issues for the past 5 months with my vodafone service for number (CONTACT DETAILS REMOVED) . I have lost lot of Emergency calls. Vodafone has changed my apple iphone also , still lot of issues , PROBLEM WITH VODAFONE SERVICE . IT IS HORRIBLE AND not TOLERABLE WITH VODAFONE . COULD SOMEONE CALL ME ASAP , SO THAT the following ISSUES CAN BE RESOLVED

1)i am missing 90% of the calls
2) People say when they call my number , Incoming call directly go to voice mail , but i dont have any voice mail OF THE CALL MISSED or ANY sign of they have callled me
3) Lot of times calls get dropped
4) Safari browser could not be accessed , saying that could not fetch cellular data
5) Could not call sometimes , it says NO SERVICE for minimum 30 minutes , this happens frequently
6) I MISSED LOT OF EMERGENCY CALLS RELATED TO BUSINESS .BIG LOSS FOR ME
7) MOST OF THEM PEOPLE SAY ,MY MOBILE IS SWITCHED OFF ,BUT MY MOBILE IS ON POSITION

I would request vodafone to SOLVE THE ISSUES ASAP . DUE TO POOR PERFORMANCE ,THIS NEEDS TO ADDRESS ASAP.

APART FROM ALL THIS,IT TAKES AGES TO TALK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE TRIED LOT OF TIMES FOR 30 MINUTES MINIMUM, AND DISCONNECTED THE LINE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE COULD NOT BE REACHED

UNHAPPY WITH VODAFONE .

Can not access any data or make call for which I am paying every month at the moment? Sometimes when I am making calls it takes ages to connect. I usually live in Medina WA 6167. My reception there is highly variable, and is at times completely non-existent.

I am currently on a 4-week placement up in Port Hedland WA 6721. Up here it is diabolical. I get a few bars reception in 30 second bursts. Phone calls are out of the question. I get by by writing SMSes and then waiting for at least 1 bar to come up before I press send. Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to resend. And how does Vodafail want me to complain? Give them a call on 1555 and wait on hold. Yeah right. That ain't gonna work.

As soon as I get back to Perth this 16 year relationship is coming to an end.

I have been avoiding Telstra for years as a protest to privatisation and later to the work practices of Sol Trujillo. However, Sol's gone now and my flatmates are with Telstra and have no issues at all. It's gonna be the Big T for me.

17908 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Quite at 12 May 2011 01:51:02 AM
Vodafone is the second largest mobile telecommunications company in the world second to China Mobile so they must be doing something right. You would think that having "fone" in their title would amount to something. Although it is spelt wrong, "Phone" comes from the Greek word "Voice." The title of this multi-billion dollar company is Vodafone. "Vo" short for "Voice" and "da" short for "Data." So, essentially, this company is called "Voice Data Voice," none of which I can use with this company. "Voicedatafail."

No reception in Perth CBD for past two hours (5pm to 6:40pm) that I've noticed. I didn't check before 5 pm so it may have been longer.

We do i start, a important sms from my wife, arrived around 3 hours after she had sent it. The reason she sent me a sms was because she could not maitain a signal long enough to ring me.
Another example was when she got home and ask me was i not talking to her because i didn't answer my phone, after a short dissusion she rang me while standing next to me, Guess what neither had signals strength.
Another thing that is pissing me off is that they keep on saying that it was a glitch or whatever, and to make up for it have a free text for a day, guess what i already have free text to the people i need it for.
All i can say is that the staff cant help, and all i hear is that the are fixing the problem, That there are to many people joining the network, Well in a couple of months they will lose my contracts, that should help them

17894 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Unacceptably. at 11 May 2011 02:02:06 PM
IT Professional running a consultancy from my home office in MArmion, 6020.
Phone switches from No Service, to no bars, to a few, to 4 bars, to no service.
Calls drop out, fail, go silent, go staticy o noccaision and generally is not reliable at all. I find being outside has a slight improvement at best.

So my phone, which I run my business from, is not reliable and is unable to be used for long calls for anything that requires me to be on hold. Which between the ATO, my ISP, my service wholesalers, my equipment wholesalers, my clients, my employees, my subcontractors is actually rather often.

I pay $99 a month for an unlimited cap, with an iPhone 3GS 32gb. Not pleased.
Thinking of switching to Telstra. As an IT professional, I loathe dealign wiht Telstra. But their network is unbeatable.

$1billion in new towers and upgrades over the next few months. Checked their site. TWO out of 184 new towers are in WA. TWO. Beaconsfield and Midland, both over 75km from me.
11 May 2011 04:27:31 PM: I didnt know the iPhone had 5 bars because I never saw them go past 3 with Voda! Reluctantly moved to Telstra and now get worried if there is less than 4. More costly, yes, but for the first time in months I actually end a call when I choose to.

I have 9 out of 10 calls drop out and also have the problem of delayed voice messages and failed text messages, all I would like is to be let out of my contract so I can sign up with a provider that can deliver what they say. I'd liekt o hear from people that can tell me the best way to deal with this we all know once your in a contract with these guys they hold on to you like a dog with a bone.
11 May 2011 11:31:03 PM: ive had no luck so far and have taken it to the TIO with still no good outcome. they have 10 days to figure something out

17869 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Great at 10 May 2011 01:02:18 AM
I have been reading everyones pain on this website, I feel really guilty as the only things I have experienced since joining vodafone is cheap calls and a phone that works. When I first bought my phone I had some dramas with it so o went back to the store and they organized a new phone sINCe then it's been fine. When I was with Telstra the coverage was crap at home and they are soooooo expensive. Go vodafone I say ....
10 May 2011 08:38:04 AM: What type of phone are you using? Interested to know which handset works on the Vodafone network.
10 May 2011 02:11:22 PM: Nokia E71, works great:)

17863 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Crap reception! at 9 May 2011 06:48:19 PM
Even in the city you can't get reception with Vodafone! What the hell is with that! You'd expect that's the best place to get coverage. Tempted to change to Telstra but their service is so shit, it takes 45 minutes just to get a hold of a customer service operator! Vodafone have good plans but I hope they can sort out the coverage thing!
13 May 2011 11:23:23 PM: I think they r building more towers...so fingers crossed!

17859 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is call drop out and also my friends cannot hear me at 9 May 2011 02:43:44 PM
I am in a mess where I would like to resign from vodafone as the service is not good enough!!!!
3/4 of my calls to my friends they cannot hear me! messages arrive late and mostly I am fed up with paying a service that do not match the contract I have signed!

Any advice for a resignation process would be more than welcome
9 May 2011 04:13:52 PM: go here http://www.tio.com.au/ComplaintForm/ComplaintFormS1.asp

takes 5 minutes, you'll get a call within 10 business days. tell them your problems and that it doesn't meet what they stated in the contract you signed (that it would actually work) and tell them you want out with a refund of the fees you've paid for the past 3 months and no cancellation fees.

tell them the service hasn't been working i.e. they are selling a service that doesn't actually work
11 May 2011 11:35:05 PM: tried the above as i have the same issue... still waiting as the TIO said they cant do anything so have put it bak onto the vodafone solution team or some blah blah... so i can just wait.

17848 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Reception at 8 May 2011 10:10:21 PM
OMG the reception is so bad with Vodafone! i was at soundwave at the beginning of the year & i had NO reception ALL day which sucked big time coz i couldnt meet up with other friends, as i couldnt call them to meet me somewhere. i had to made meet up times & places with the people i was with, it was very annoying. Also they always have melt downs, they had another one of monday (6/5) which is just a piss off. i'm on count down til my contact ends so i can move over to Telsta, they may just more but least i'll be getting the service i'm paying for.
19 May 2011 12:28:15 AM: You will find that at festivals the channels are always very busy and congested, so you often can't get signal/ send sms's on the day. All the networks have this problem. I hate vodafone, but i think all phone companies have this issue
