Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

Very very poor reception, very expensive bills which I think they add fake phone calls and messages to as I try not to spend over my $75 cap per month. Every month it seems to be more and more - I don't understand!! My phone call even drops out, poor admin- my name spelt wrong on my phone bills, Very poor customer service at the shops,, they send me bills I have already paid, I try to call them to talk about it- I get advised to speak to some pre recorded ladies voice. I then try to call a different number, speak to some lady from overseas who has no clue. Excuse my language but Vodafone are SHIT

Service has completely disappeared about 3 weeks ago...one minute just fine...next minute can't get service at all. Can't make calls. Don't get text ,essages till days later. The phone doesn't even ring the network is so bad! Have tried (and failed) to get through to customer service (four goes on hold for over an hour.) Lodged a complaint online and was sent a response that didn't even make any sense. Was told a technician would be in touch and then got a text message asking me to call them but I can't get through!!!!! The email actually (laughably) raved on about how great the service is and 98% of Australian's can get network coverage. I have had enough. Planning to go into a store next week (which is 2 hours drive away) and throw the phone at them. We run a busniess on the phone number and have lost countless sales leads because people could not get through to us!!!

My partner, my parents and I are all with vodafone, we all have reception problems and also internet issues. My friends don't get my picture msg for days later, my phone always drops out with almost every call. When I ring vodafone I always seem to get someone that cannot understand me nor can I understand them, I'm always on hold for ridiculous times. Vodafone has also stuffed up with my bills charging me way more then I have used and when I ask to speak to a manager because the operator has no idea what I'm talking about they tell me the manager will call me back within the next 24hours, I never receive that call back so I'll call customer service again and it seems there is never a manager on duty! I also have vodafone internet for the computer which I can't use because that also NEVER and I mean never has coverage!

Terrible service depsite living close to the CBD, in a location where other providers have strong reception.
Incredibly frustrating customer service and extreme wait times on hold, in one instance 1 hour and 15 then was hung up on.
Tried website, did not work, went to one store - no help, tried another told to go to website, website still not working, called customer service again, told to go online...ggrrrrrr
Unfortunately I am locked in a contract until Sep 2011, when I will be changing to another provider!!!!

My phone and internet both keep cutting out. After several phone calls to Vodafone they told me it was my phone and computer that were causing the issue and to replace my computer and call Nokia regarding my phone issue. I was expecting an important phone call and had to turn my phone off as it was the only way it would go through to my voicemail and then I was able to retrieve the msg at the end of the day. Ridiculous!

Why should I have to take my sim out then replace it every time I want to make a call!!!! And I couldn't even dream of receiving a call if I havent done it once or twice a day.
SOOO Annoying when I get to talk to my husband for the first time in a week when he's on deployment!
And if I do have a problem I feel like I get further yelling at my phone than I do speaking to "Lara".Of the many times I've called for customer service, I've only spoken to a person on the other end of the line twice! Literally!

Poor service when I get service, calls dropping out or don't go through, slow data when it wants to work, have been with voda for many years and the last couple of months have been hell and when I call vodafone about the issues I'm having I always get someone who does not speak English and has no idea.

I live at Glebe; 5 minutes from Broadway Shopping Centre. I do not get any reception at my unit which is hard to believe in Sydney City area.
I have complained many times but apart from long waits on customer service nothing has been done.
Even I asked to cancel my contract which they have denied.
I am so lost paying the monthly bill for no service.

i was signed up to a service, on a phone that i was told "was a great user friendly phone"
the battery failed, so i ended up with a 2nd phone. tried to go to stores to get help on certain features, only to be told - we're not trained to use that..try the call centre..
then my pain really started.
tried the call centre several times, only to be stuck in a loop.
trie dthe next morning, put my number in, and was disocnnected 4 times....
tried again, FINALLY spoke to someone, who hung up on me, cos they couldnt help me...oh yea...that was after 30 min waiting for someone..
made a complaint about the lack of service...no real response apart from...that shouldnt happen...asked the complaint man to send me in the direction of help - ie can someone call me or a direct number....try the call centre, no one can call you!
thanks for your help! awesome customer service!!

My emails arrive hours later on my handset than my inbox. It's rather embarrassing when you are trying to reply in real time and act professionally...... Not only this, my calls drop out continually, my MMS are rarely received and their customer service centre makes me cry. I've lost count of how many times the line has cut out while finally reaching a representative!.. wah wah wah
6825 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is The worst! at 28 Dec 2010 04:53:07 PM
I only have 1 bar of reception at home and absolutley no internet access on my phone. Everytime I make a call, It drops out. I call again and it drops out again. It's an endless cycle.
Sometimes when others try to call me, they can't get through as it says my phone is switched off or not in coverage - but it's not switched off and I am in coverage.
I have expressed my outrage with vodafone's horrible customer service. After waiting more than 45 minutes on hold, I was put throught to a person who clearly didnt know how to do his job.
I demanded he change my $99 plan to the $65 plan at NO charge - he did so after I threatened to contact the Ombudsman.
Vodafone, I have told everyone I know about your poor coverage/reception and disgusting customer service. If I do not see a result quiet soon, then I will disconnect my service!

Texts and voicemails delayed for days and even over a week! Have called Vodafone customer service over 20 times since feb 2010 and still being told my investigation is on fast track.... Very frustrating! Phone shows full bars of coverage but does not receive messages through til I make a call, like it seems to open the line or something. Vodafone first said I may be able to have my contract recinded but then said no. They even tried to tell me' the prob was with my sim card. Went tovodafone store to have it replaced and they firstly didn't want to know until I made some noise. Seems u get nowhere with these idiots so I'm in too.

6769 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is beyond help at 28 Dec 2010 04:34:37 PM
I had issues in that I had no data/phone reception in the CBD - NEXT door to a telephone exchange with every freaking tower for every network on it, and nothing at all at my house unless I stood on my letterbox and waved my phone in the air. (I'm not joking). For 3 months of emailing and calling, I'd get email responses to my questions i"d been ASKED to email saying "you spoke to a customer service person about this. Status: Closed". They'd told me to email! I was advised to change my SIM 4 times. I did it 3 times to humour them, the 4th i saw red. I had sat on the phone twice for 1 hour each time that morning and got a robotic Indian person who told me to swap the SIM over and when I lost the plot and asked to speak to a supervisor, was transferred to the automatic SIM replacement line. So I had to start again.
I had had enough by this stage - 86 phone calls and emails is too many. I wrote to the TIO. Within 5 days a VF guy rang me back. I was polite to him and he released me from my contract with no penalty and credited me a whopping $8. (Yes, $8!)
I am now with Telstra and am loving every minute of it. I feel like washing my mouth out with soap saying that, but I can now SMS, make phonecalls AND surf the web absolutely anywhere, whereas my workmates sit in our office with no VF signal for often 2 hours at a time. I can't help smiling really.

When i signed up for my 2 year contract 2 months ago with a brand new iphone 4 i was not told:
*That everytime i need to call customer service i would have to wait 2 hours on average for someone to answer my call.
*That half my calls would constantly drop out.
*That my internet would take 2 mins on average to load a website,Slower than dial up internet
*That my voicemail & text messages would sometimes take 24 hours to come through.
I could go on and on but this is enough....In short TERRIBLE is the only way to describe all of this!!! I made a mistake leaving Three after 8 years to join this crap......Cant wait to leave.RIPPED OFF FOR A SERVICE THAT DOESNT WORK.

3 wireless broadband customer-the network was always shaky never downloads at the speeds the signal strength says it should. Tried downloading a 2gig map for Tom Tom today at 3 bar high speed indication was 7 hours. The network dropped out after 3 hours. Start again. will just pay the additional charges not worth dealing with customer service. a complete waste of time

Was with vodafone, because it was cheap. Then realised cheap meant network problems, slow speeds, dleayed texts, crappy customer service. Switched to telstra. Pay a hell of a lot more on my phone bill but my god it is a million time better. I've had a few issues with telstra too, but one phone call and it's all sorted out. In fact telstra is incompetent enough that you can scam them out of bills and everything !!! But damn their reception and net speeds are superb!!
Guess mummy was right. You do indeed get what you pay for.

6742 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is EPIC FAIL at 28 Dec 2010 04:05:41 PM
My problems started with 3 mobiles not offering a great amount of coverage at my address. 3 mobiles had agreed to let me port my number to another services provider with out charge. They suggested that a Vodafone sales person would call me to check my coverage and if it was good, Vodafone would sign me over. I was happy to do so because I was advised that the mobile 3g coverage in my area was good. Less then a month after signing up, I missed days worth of calls and txt msg, calls would suddenly drop, and constantly not being able to make calls even when my phone shows full coverage. I called Vodafone and after following the automated promts to technical support, I was advised I was in the wrong department and needed to transfer me to the correct one. After waiting a further 20 minutes, they advised that an investigation was being raised and this was going to take around 3 weeks to get some sort of answer. I told them this was not good enough and that I use my phone also for work, and the customer service rep said "it sounds important so I'll have some one call you the next day". Well, I never got that call. I called Vodafone back 5 days later and demanded that I be released from my contract as they have failed to deliver the mobile service I sign up for. I was advised some one will call me back tomorrow. I wont hold my breath...

The customer service is useless and i am unable to get out of my contract without paying an arm and a leg, which is ridiculous. I signed up for a phone plan and i cant freaking use it.

overchraged, in correct information give, i would say horrible customer service if there was any service given without waiting for hours on the other end, incorrect billing, diverted to overseas call centre were it seems the call centre is always busy and if you do by some miracle get a human on the other end they are clearly scripted in what to say and struggle to help with my problems. To sum up in one word SH$@T
6711 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Hopeless Thieves at 28 Dec 2010 03:39:12 PM
both Voda and 3 are full of crap. Until 3 months ago I had really good mobile broadband. Now most days I wait half an hour to download a few emails, some days my download speed is 2kbs and a waste of time trying to upload. Customer service advice is my area is heavy usage area and 3 has no intention to upgrade the network, all upgrades will only be to the Voda network. Do I wish to change to Voda? My answer to them is they have 7 days to fix the service and supply me what I pay for or I go to ACCC and Telecomunications Ombudsman and Consumer Affairs. How about a class action here in South Australia against both 3 and Voda as they are the same company now according to the bills I get.
28 Dec 2010 03:56:47 PM: 3 Mega coverage used to roam to tel$tra Next G when coverage was poor or out of metro, then 3 changed software to favour voda before telstra. Since then there are pockets where the phone is so screwed up it trys for poor voda rather then good tel$tra. If you having probs tell them to cancel the contract or you will got to the TIO ( thanks tio, helped me control the phone companies)
6698 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is totally at 28 Dec 2010 03:27:13 PM
Vodafone and after a period of time on hold, numerous rude persons and being transferred through a number of departments was told that there was a coverage problem however because i had moved into this area after siging the contract it was my fault. Vodafone seemed utterly disinterested in the fact that my new home was less then 5kms from my old address and that i had been assured that Vodafone had excellent coverage by sales staff.
..
I was further told that i would have to pay nearly $1000 to exit my contract.
..
Vodafone has offered no other dispute resolution to this matter. As an emergency services worker who is often called out i rely on good coverage to make and recieve phone calls. Further to this, I find it appalling at the level of customer service and lack of coverage in a Sydney Metro.

No reception in several lecture theatres at my university (the university of queensland), shopping centres, and at my surf club in Kirra. Reception cuts out at my house, and limited connectivity on my vodafone mobile internet. During November, I could not receive incoming calls, or use my internet anywhere at all for 7 days. When I asked a Voda customer service representative why I had reception problems, they told me it was because they couldn't guarantee I'd get service "indoors, anywhere over than my house". I'm incredibly unhappy with Vodafone, and will not use them again.

I have been with Vodafone for a while now using a prepaid plan; I believed that the issue of my phone not ringing but calls going straight to voicemail was a problem with the phone, so I bought a new one. The problem is still happening. Recently I tried to unlock my new phone from the Vodafone network (in preparation to changing carriers) and this was very difficult! At first I couldn't get passed a certain point on the website so I called customer service, only to have "the voice" tell me to try their website. There wasn't an option for what I needed to do and no way to get through to a real person. As if all of that isn't enough, I now have a crack in the screen on my new phone, and when I rang Vodafone, they told me no point in trying to have it fixed, just buy a new phone!! Can't wait to change carriers...
28 Dec 2010 04:30:41 PM: have you ever thought to go into a store to unlock your phone ? instead of talking to the VOICE. why is it vodafone problem that you have a cracked screen? did vodafone break it ? NO! so its not there problem its yours .so go get it fixed or buy a new one.
6637 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Mega Fail at 28 Dec 2010 02:23:35 PM
Although i live in the middle of Belconnen, i am continually experiencing drop-outs.
To make a call i have to retry dialing the number are least three times before it will connect, even then, once it has connected, the other party either can't hear me or i can't hear them.
The majority of the time my calls will go straight to voicemail without ringing.
Customer service (if it could even be called that) is worse than the last company i was with!
The reason why i made the change to vodafone was because of the crappy customer service from my previous carrier, and i assumed that having the shopftonts would be a convenience, how wrong i was.
The shopfronts are only good to convince you to purchase a new handset.
Whenever i go in for help, they tell me to call customer care(less) and that annoying LARA makes me want to rip my hair out trying to get onto someone to help me with my phone.
Then once i get past her, I'm on hold for the next 15-25 minutes, and if that's not enough, the person on the other end tells me to go in to my local store.
Upon reading some of these posts i am beginning to see a trend. 'Pass the buck till the customer gets so annoyed that the give up & deal with it'.
I gave up because i thought it was the norm, I've only ever had crappy service & even worse customer service, so i did give up.
Now that i know there is 'light at the end of the tunnel', i will join in with all you unhappy consumers & help defeat this corporate monster, taking our hard earned money and failing to deliver what's promised.
Good luck everyone

Next my new moden kept crashing, two days on the phone with customer service and going to my local vodafone ( they didn't want to know/help me, and I originally signed up with them)Everybody I contacted with vodafone kept passing it off to the next person, and to top it off I got charged $200 for a $39 plan, and another day on the phone with them telling me I went over my 4GBs until they FINALLY said they were in error (never direct debit)and to finish my rant I spent hours on the phone with customer service today trying to log onto my vodafone account so I can pay the bloodly bill. Can't wait for my contract to finish, going elsewhere.
6619 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is disconnect_lara at 28 Dec 2010 02:03:56 PM
Everytime I call, I wait atleast 40-50mins to speak to someone, once I get through they hang up on me. I have asked for many calls back from the customer service team I have dealt with, no responses. Lara needs to be disconnected, you can never say what you want. If you dial through on the line for signing up with Vodafone, you get through straight away. Your willing to take new business but you cant even support these new customers.Get you act together...
6615 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Not Happy, Jan. at 28 Dec 2010 02:01:24 PM
Oh God, where to start!?
At first, I thought it was because I was using an older phone, a customer service assistant at Vodafone informed me that this was the case and I should purchase a new hand set as the one I had was 18 months old.
Thank god it was only a $99 phone, otherwise I'd be very upset at forking out money for a phone I did not need!
My issues, with my old handset, and my new one, include:
No reception, resulting in having to switch my phone off, and then back on.
MMS messages not sending.
Text messages not sending.
Sometimes I would be charged for the MMS and text messages being sent.
Phone calls dropping out - which is awesome when doing a phone interview (/sarcasm).
Sometimes being unable to send international text messages when the day before I was able to.
Periods of time where my phone says "No Network Coverage".
Not receiving text messages until hours after they were sent.
Receiving Voicemail messages when my phone hasn't rang, at all.

Delays receiving my voice mail messages - and I live in the heart of Sydney's CBD. And the insurance provider they recommend upon signing up for iPhone provide very average customer service. I have a broken iPhone 3 glass, and after paying 18 months of insurance at approx $10 a month I am told it will take 3 weeks to fix, $150 to fix (although could be more) and there is no compensation for being without a phone for 3 weeks - I still have to pay both the vodafone monthly fee and the insurance fee. Not on.

No Service!
No Help from Customer Service Operators!!!!
Locked into a 2 year conact for 2 mobile phones and broadband internet
VERY PISSED OFF.
Vodaphone will not cancel my contract without an investigation. If the investigation comes back and the network is the issue(which it is, i have to pay for the 2phones on the contract before they will cancel it. The phone is the bulk of the charge, which i can not afford to pay 600+ dollar for each phone. Vodaphone need to be shut down, they are scamming people out of their hard earned money. I currently pay 150.00 per month for .......NOTHING.

6582 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is EPIC WOEFUL FAIL!!!! at 28 Dec 2010 01:27:24 PM
I was a loyal Vodafone customer for six awful years. Fortunately my partner and I have moved from Vodafone to Optus in the past month- a great, joyful move!
My partner has had numerous problems with un-locking an iphone when moving to Optus. Vodafone refused to un-lock the phone, citing the old "we can't do it in store, you need to call customer service". Then calling customer service with them saying it needs to be done in store, resulting in Vodafone not un-locking the phone.
I was also told by Vodafone that they would charge me a $50 fee for moving my number over to another network, it was moved over by Optus and no fee was charged.
There were various reasons for my move. For starters, most of the time I had no reception at my house in my inner city suburb in Canberra. Ridiculous. Often I did not receive phone calls or texts.
I also experienced the infamous 'drop outs' during the majority of all phone calls. I found that after it dropped out twice, there was no chance of making receiving any calls at all.
As well as a terrible network, Vodafone's customer service matched it. As my pre-paid sim had been purchased years ago by my Dad, hence the account was in his name, when my Dad called customer service to change the account to my name and give permission to do so, he was told this could only be done in store. When visiting a store, and speaking to a manager, we were told there is nothing they could do and we would need to call customer service. After calling customer service for the second time, we were told the same thing again.
When I complained to the manager in-store, I was told that Vodafones stores and their online customer service are separate and that there is no cross-over between the two....
Upon visiting another vodafone store and speaking with a junior staff member, he changed the account to my name and told me stores can perform this process, they just prefer not to.
I also received stellar service when enabling global roaming on my vodafone account when visiting Europe in 2008. After telling a Vodafone rep all the countries I was visiting and asking if I would have service in each country, I was told I wouldn't have a problem having service in any of the countries. I had service in half the countries I was in. There re-assurance was not helpful. If I had known this in in the first place I could have made alternative arrangements.
In short, Vodafone suck and have done so for some time.

Vodafail have been charging me like a wounded bull for Excess data Downlaods that I am not making.
Their Mobile Broadband is so slow it is easier to use a Internet Cafe down the road than bother logging in.
My phone drops out for no reason and has shitty reception...never mind the way the company offers the same contract I signed at even less money to "New" customers 1 week after I sign my contract.
Customer service staff who do not speak english well enough to understand what I am asking for or complaining about and who don't speak english well enough for me to be able to understand them.
I managed to get released from my Mobile Broadband contract, thanks to the TIO, and I will NOT be renewing my phone contract when it expires in another couple of months...Hate the idea of going to Telstra but may have little choice. :-(

They as other communication companies need to employ people you can understand and get real help from. I have has to hang up a few times because I could not understand the person I was talking to or they could not help me. It takes the push of 3 or more buttons before you even get to speak to anyone.
What happened to real customer service.

6559 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Customer Service at 28 Dec 2010 01:07:26 PM
In summary in my opion Vodafone have failed me (and I'm sure many others) when it comes giving service. No business is 100% perfect all the time, and you can never satisfy everyone. But the general rule in business is to look after the customer. For some time now I have felt they can't get this fundamental thing right, when you call with a complaint, problem or question at the very least you expect a timely response and better still from a person who can speak proper english (no disrespect). When you push various buttons to get where you think they want you to go, then EVENTUALLY have someone answer, but the conversation gets mixed up because of the overseas time lag and to top it off the keep saying excuse me because they don't understand you. Vodafone prides itself by having their logo plastered everywhere, but why not put some funds and time into where it matters - Customer Service.

We were with Vodfone for 5yrs. All was well until about 12 months ago when every call made or received droppped out after 30seconds.Then my husband who uses his phone for his work got a bill for 380 bucks. Thats 300 above his cap, which was the first time he'd exceded it in 5 years. That was the last bill he got cause when he phoned Vodafone and complained the increase was due to the drop outs and call backs he had to keep making he was met with a rude, but English speaking CSO who said she would refund everything over the cap price if he stayed with Vodafone. He said what's the point if I've got no coverage. She said it was probably the phone and to turn it off and on once a day. It didn't help.He switched carriers. So she said Vodafone would refund 138 dollars(don't know where this figure came from) and they would send a cheque. Fast forward a month and SURPRISE still no cheque. So I emailed them and got an automated response. I rang, waited for 45 mins, got disconnected. Rang next day waited an hour.Spoke to India explained situation and got the run around. Eventually got them to agree to send a refund and got his name and ext. number. Still no refund. I rang again and explained whole story yet again.A cheque for $38 turned up.I rang again to talk to complaints dept. and was told i could only lodge a complaint via email, which i did and received an automated response after 2 weeks and my ringing them again. The response said if I had a complaint to call customer service.I emailed them back and asked for someone to call me back and left my number. I got a reply that said Vodafone is unable to contact me via that media. Ha Ha. A phone company that can't call you using a phone. So if you like to use your phone as an ornament and enjoy getting the runaround, sign up with Vodafone.

Ive been with vodafone since may 2010 i regret switching from optus to vodafone because:
- Poor customer service
- Long wait to get through to Customer Care
- Calls Drop Out
- Messages delayed (sending & receiving)
- UNCLEAR charges!!
- NO BLOODY RECEPTION ANYWHEREEEEEE ONE MINUTE YOU HAVE SERVICE THE NEXT THERES NON FOR HOURS!!
I was sent out a bill for 90 dollars for the month of may paid the bill on time than my service was disconnected in November as 40 dollars was apparently overdue.. Not knowing what this 40 dollars was for i called customer care (waited 3 hours to get through to someone) and i was informed that someone had mistakenly paid 40 dollars on my account and that they sent me a bill for the wrong amount and that they had transferred the 40 dollars to the person who "accidentally" made the payment on my bill.. But i was not notified of this until i contacted them in regards to my service been cut off which was 6 months later!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! how can someone "accidentally" make a payment on my bill when i have my own account number and personal details and security code!!
THANKS FOR THE THIRD WORLD COUNTRY SERVICE I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY NOR WILL I BE RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.. CANT WAIT TILL MY CONTRACT IS FINISHED (2012) =( SO THAT I DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH VODAFONE EVER AGAIN..

I have a mobile broadband account with 3. Ever since they began sharing the network with Vodafone I have gone from full HSPA signal to 3G with one single bar of reception. Data speeds are unusable, plus their usage meter is innacurate so I am charged for excess data usage every month. Customer service varies between rude and non-existent.
6533 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Pretty awful at 28 Dec 2010 12:49:04 PM
I bought a mobile broadband modem from Vodafone last year, and 98% of the time the thing is stuck on GPRS or EDGE, and is about as fast as a dial-up modem. The other 2% of the time it works pretty damn fast on 3G, apparently just to taunt me, since there's no way of knowing when it will do that.
Also, I've had constant drop-outs, sometimes in the middle of a Skype call or download. Tried talking to Vodafone customer service, got put on hold for 15 minutes and then when I got through to a real person she hung up on me without warning, apparently because her English comprehension skills were just about non-existent and she got frustated. Guess that makes two of us. Thanks a lot, Vodafone.

I recently upgraded in October to new plans with VHA after being told that they could beat the offer i had with Optus. One week after getting the phones i started getting 'failed network connection' whilst trying to get online with my new android. Over the next 2 months i missed calls, would not get voicemail messages for a week and even had my internet on the phone disconnected by VHA. I called and was told that the issue was with my phone and that nothing could be done. I had to call back to be told that my internet connection was cancelled by my own phone WHAT THE!!! The worst was i missed a call from my bank that caused major issues with my realestate, landlord and the poor girl at the bank who did leave a message that i did not get for a week. Did i get an apology by VHA? No what i got was not our fault. In the end i had to make a TIO complaint. The first offer was yes you do have a congestion issue in your area of Point Cook and we can see you have had drooped call. What we can offer is for you to move over from Three to Vodafone. When i refused this offer did they advise that i could go to any carrier i wanted just send back the phones. This i have gladly done. It did take an hour long phone call to get my account number so i could port. Really... customer service do not have all my details when i first call. The appalling service and a company going to market with plans that do nothing but cause congestion needs to be taken to task. Thank you for this website, i just wish i new about it 4 weeks ago.

Vodafone charges more money per txt than any other phone company. At 33cents a txt (for pre-paid at least) he goes through $20 within days. This is just unacceptable. Also, coverage constantly drops out and yet I still get charged for these calls. I was once on hold to Vodafone for over 20 mins when the phone line just dropped. Speaking of being on hold, their customer service is disgusting. Recently my phone (supplied by Vodafone) died. I went to a vodafone store to get this matter resolved and was told that it wasnt their fault and there was nothing they could do about it. It's enough to make me want to switch companies as soon as my contract expires...

After a gruelling two year contract, I was finally able to leave. They did not offer me a new phone or try to get me to renew my contract, they just forgot about me. Great customer service there.... Then they preceeded to charge me an exit fee and sent me a notice from the debt collector as I was refusing to pay for it. This company robbed me of so much money and my bill was NEVER under $49 dollars, I didn't even use it that much and they still managed to put all their hidden costs in there and failed to provide a service. I live in metro Melbourne and I still had issues with reception. I am now on Telstra and paying the same amount for MUCH BETTER RECEPTION AND VALUE FOR MONEY. I also make sure I tell everyone of my problems with Vodafail.
6465 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is EPIC FAIL!!! at 28 Dec 2010 11:49:33 AM
I am an incredibly disgruntled Vodafone customer. I am tired of basically paying for a service that I struggle to use. The network reception is incredibly poor. I have had my sim card and phone replaced and this has not resolved the issue. When I call technical support, they just tell me that I should have service in the areas I am located in. They offer no other support nor can they because their network coverage and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I will be endeavouring to jump ship back to Telstra asap. And I hope for Vodafones sake that they do not attempt to charge me for this.
6460 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is EXTREME FAIL at 28 Dec 2010 11:47:44 AM
About 16 months ago I made the biggest mistake of my life. I was no longer happy with my phone provider so decided to look into who was able to give me good service at an affordable price.
I decided to go with Vodafone Online, I'd spent about 2 weeks researching it all and the deal they had seemed the best. The sales team where fantastic at selling me a package including a phone and contract for 12 months.
I received my phone 2 days later and upon inspecting it realized there where 3 things missing from the phone - a micro SD card, the stylus and case. (The Micro SD card was vital for the phone operation).
I immediately rang Vodafone who gave me Nokia's number saying I would have to follow up the problem myself. I did so the long of the short of it is, after 3 MONTHS of going back and forth between Nokia and Vodafone I was told many different things - Both informed me that a new phone was on the way about 5 times and would arrive the next day, Both informed me that there was no issue raised about 3 times and despite having a list of call logs of who i'd spoken to and reference numbers for the complaints would have to start again, Nokia informed me twice that the issue was to be dealt with by Vodafone and not me, Vodafone themselves rang Nokia after I ended up INSISTING on them doing so and the Vodafone customer service agent was shocked at the treatment he himself received from Nokia.
I received bills for them and thankfully I hadn't actually actioned the phone yet and I had free 3 months on the contract (which by the end of the 3 months due to the fact I still had not got anywhere with getting a complete phone was upped to 6 months free usage)
I spoke to managers at Vodafone who laughed in my face and when I informed them I was going to take it to the ACCC told me I would have to get a complaint form from them which would cost me $20 and in her own words 'Good Luck, No one cares what you have to complain about cos at the end of the day you are just one person and you can do nothing'.
I contacted the ACCC who informed me to communicate via email to them so I would have written records. Guess what, they NEVER replied via email to me.... actually they never replied at all.
This whole time I had no phone at all, I was working nearly everyday and relied on a phone yet because I am also a single parent and on a government pension for it the rules are that you can only have 1 phone contract in your name and I didn't have the funds to pay for a pre-paid mobile... I was trapped.
Finally after 3 months of being lied to, passed around and not listened to, laughed at openly by the staff and managers and getting no where, I ended up snapping.
(Because I had bought it from the online store, I was not able to go into a store and have a human help me - trust me I tried numerously - all I could do was call their inhuman customer support numbers)
So I snapped and FINALLY after 3 months they sent me an envelope to send the phone back with and was told once they received the phone back and it was checked over by the 'tech team' I MAY have the chance to exit my contact.
So I received the envelope 3 days later, posted it within 5 minutes of getting it (I paid express post to send it) - 2 weeks later I rang, and it still wasn't processed, I rang everyday for another week and finally was told that, yes the phone had in fact arrived 2 weeks earlier and was processed and was now in the hands of the manager that had told me I was just one person and she didn't care about my complaint and the manager had in fact gone on holidays for 2 weeks and nothing could be done until she returned.
So I asked to be put through to another person who I had been dealing with and 2 days later I removed from the contract... So I thought.
I went down to my local shopping center to take on a new contract with a different provider and was not allowed to take it out as they had that I had unpaid bills with Vodafone and a current contract.
After 3 days of calls I finally received an email stating I was no longer a Vodafone customer and was able to present it to the new provider as proof.
I continued to receive bills for another 2 months (all 0 balance) and each time I contacted them and each time was told more crap.
Finally about 6 months after it all started, I was clear...
I will NEVER EVER touch Vodafone or Nokia again... the one piece of justice for me... I informed everyone I came in contact with over the 6 months who complained about me not having a mobile or being able to contact me sufficiently about Vodafone and what was occurring at the time, and I smile when I know because of my turmoil at least 300 people will now not touch them either!

Docklands area: reception issues, drop outs, late sms and voicemail messages up to 8 hrs late. poor customer service and ongoing billing issues. If a payment fails on a credit card - there is no notice - they just cut mobile data service and it takes 3 days to restore on their system. Will move to another provider at the end of contract.

I originally contacted Vodafone on the 16th of december as I had dropped out calls, calls that never registered and went straight to voicemail which I then received upto 2 days later since september. I have been promised a callback from resolutions and have given them two alternate numbers to call guess what they ring the vodafone number that never works... so i'm calling them foe the sixth time in under two weeks.

I am a reseller of phone credit and sell about $15,000 a month in phone credit. Previously with Telstra for many years I changed in May this year to Vodafone for their unlimited service for both my wife and I as it was a good deal and I use my phone constantly for business. The story so far: phone sits on No Service half the day so I can't use it and I work and live 3 km from town, call drop outs all the time (3 on one call yesterday) the internet is so slow and crap that I don't even use 100MB of my 4GB download available, delayed text messgaes and lost ones, customer service non existent, have complained several times after being put on hold for ages to India and all the crap bullshit excuses in the world. Had enough and want out of both contracts and am going to the TIO. Vodafone sucks and should not be allowed to provide a phone service.
6443 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Worst. Network. Ever!!! at 28 Dec 2010 11:31:56 AM
After being a loyal vodafone customer for many years, i have finally "had enough" with the constant call drop outs, lack of reception, deylayed sms and mms (if i got them at all that is) and in general very very poor customer service (call centre)
So i have gone to another major network now, and am much happier with them, although when i had my number ported from vodafone to the new network, 4days later i recieved a letter from a debt collector with a 72hr demand for $400, thanks vodafone...
Thats just the begining, i also had mobile broardband with vodafone, again had very very limited reception, the connection would constantly drop out, very slow to load pages etc so once my 2year contract was up (i still used it month to month) i decided to cancel my account as i couldnt use the service as desired and wasnt happy paying for something i cant use, so on the phone i got to cancel, after speaking to "lara" and sitting on hold for 45mins i get told that the department i would need to speak to has just closed, so the lady on the phone took my details and claimed she would arrange a call back the next day, well late afternoon the next day and still no call back i get back on the phone, 58mins on hold (i timed it) i speak to someone, telling them im not happy with the service an my contract was up and to cancel the account, i was then placed on hold for a few seconds and was then disconnected!!! I couldnt believe it, i got straight back on the phone and after another 45min wait i spoke to someone, who tried and tried and tried to talk me out of ending my service, eventually they did cancel the service and made the sim card from my broardband stick a prepaid mobile phone sim card and put $20 credit on it as a "good will gusture"
Anothe quick rant about the call centre wich the tellco uses, i personally found it very very hard to understand most of the operators due to very thick accents.
Im so glad im no longer a customer of vodafone and would never go back or recomend it to anyone!

Left Vodafone in 04' due to incorrect billings, hopeless customer service and no support for queries. Returned in October 2010 due to the amount of family/relatives/friends and general contacts who are with them, also due to having my father becoming ill in hospital so i joined a $49 cap with a Sony Ericsson X10i. Had no support from Vodafone in regards to the 3G network always operating in the background of my phone (had not downloaded any apps to operate in the background) but incurred a bill in excess of $400 due to data use. To add insult to injury i have sent my handset in twice for faults such as turning off by itself, not charging off a car charger (tested in various vehicles), the 3G Network operating constantly when not needed and the usual freezing. I received the handset yesterday only to be told the same thing had been carried out to rectify the issues "we've updated to android 2.1"....and surprise surprise, the same faults are now still present in the handset!

Reading the comments on this site - my issues are the same. Constant drop outs, lengthy times where 'no network coverage' is displayed and over all poor service. I have needed to purchase a plug in modem with another network provider so that I can skype people when vodafone coverage is not available. I work in Pitt st Sydney and cannot even get coverage from my desk on the 11th floor (and no I don't work in a lead bunker!)I pay the maximum package for minimal service and support. Not happy

6411 Someone from NT thinks vodafone is exactly what I expected at 28 Dec 2010 11:06:19 AM
I live in Katherine and coverage is hopeless. Every couple of months there is none at all. But to be perfectly honest, this is why they are cheaper. Telstra may have the worst possible customer service and cost you a small fortune, but they have put the money into installing a decent network. Vodafone has not and is cheaper as a result. No point complaining about simple coverage issues. Their customer service has always been great (coming from lifelong Telstra usage) and while they did try and charge me for a support call once, they removed the charge as soon as I pointed it out. If you live somewhere like the NT, it's kind of obvious that you should do the research before signing up to any sort of wireless coverage contract. The contract doesn't guarantee coverage. Their 3G network is actually hugely better than Telstra's (for those with a phone that will work with standard 3G but not nextG frequencies).
So yes, the Vodafone network is pretty hopeless, but if you do the research before signing anything you're pretty safe. I am on a month by month contract and so I could ditch them at any time, but as long as they give me a better deal...
All that said, I have never had a call dropped or any issues while well within network coverage. I can sympathise with that. Unless you use an iPhone, then it's entirely your fault.

6410 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Totally Dodgy at 28 Dec 2010 11:06:06 AM
I have some issues with the service from Vodafone as well, but not only with the coverage and calls dropping out but with the level of reagrd and treatment from customer service itself.
Vodafone called me to se if I wanted to renew my contract as mine was coming to an end. The middle eastern sounding lady told me about the new infinite cap which was fine, and then she asked me about my phone and how that was going I said it had a few issues so she offered me a new one I said that I wanted to get the iphone 4 but was advised that they were out of stock and there was a wait of up to 4 weeks so she said that I should get this other phone called the Nokia N8 I quizzed her about the specifics of the phone and told her that if it wasn't exactly like the iphone 4 in looks and capalbility then I wsn't interested in that phone at all. She told me it looks exactly like the iphone and does all the same things but the only difference was the camera it being a 12megapixel as the iphone4 has only a 5megapixel. Had I of known that this camera is nothing like the iphone 4 I wouldn't have even considered getting this phone especailly wehn I got it, the phone was faulty as broken calculator. At first when I got it I was super hessitant since it wasn't what I was expecting at all but decided to give it a go anyway. Once I charged the battery I stuck my sim card in and began my using it, my relationship with my new phone lasted for not even 2 days. Turns out the phone was faulty, the battery didn't even last a day, and it would take a really long time to respond to any commands that I would give it or just not respond at all or if I managed to get to the applications screen and try to open one the wole phone would just go black. So began my calling to vodafone, or should I say VODAFAIL.. I called them every day for nearly 2 weeks sometimes several times a day and each time I'd be left on hold for over an hour waiting and then when I FINALLY GOT THROUGH and explained my situation about how the phone was faulty and misled into getting it the first place, they would only say that I have come through to the wrong department and that would have to transfer me to the correct one, this happened at least 6 times everytime I would call customer service! I have been a customer loyal to vodafone for nearly 8 years and I think I think I deserve better than this! They sent me the phone by courier from an Allphones store and said that if the phone came form them then I would have to take it up with them. So I did they told me it Vodafone's probelm, Vodafone sent me back and forth like a tennis ball wi this faulty phone cos niether of them wanted to take responsibilty of a faulty phone. In the end I finally got through after another 1 and half or so of having to listen to the annoying Lara, to an Australian guy who explained that despite the circumstances of being misled in getting the Nokia N8 I had signed a verbal contract with that phone and that the only thing that they could do was send me out another one. I explained that I wasn't interested in getting another one of this handset and asked that my upgrade to the 49 infinite plan be reversed and I send back the faulty handset to vodafone, and start over. After being told that this was possible by someone else (another middle eastern person) the Australian guy said that the only thin that he could do for me was send me out a replacement of the same handset of the Nokia N8, and if the second handset turned out to be faulty as well only then would they look at reversing my upgrade and sending me out a different phone all together, being the iphone 4 which is what I wanted to start with. The lady that initially did the upgrade was only trying to give me the hard sell on that phone as they would commissions on every phone sold. So now I have to wait for this other Nokia N8 and find out if it faulty and go through the entire process AGAIN! I'm not racist, but it makes me so mad that for a company thats based in Australia, they would have a call centres in places like the middle east, you call them expecting to talk to someone who can understand what they are saying and you can understnad what they are saying but half the time you can't, its total bullox! If people can't speack english properly and clearly then they should be employed in call centres PERIOD. VODAFONE YOU TOTALLY BITE! They have even admitted that I'm getting poor service as they halved my Fee due to the fact that I'm unable to get any service..Cant wait til my Contract expires. Good ridance Vodaphone

-drop-outs every few minutes whilst on calls.
-inability of callers to leave messages on message bank.
-incoming calls have been lost and not recorded as missed calls.
-low battery life.
I've had this phone for only a month or so. During the Christmas period i have missed out on important reunions with family members. I am frustrated by the constant dropping out of reception during phonecalls. This is absolutely not acceptable and i'd rather not be paying a monthly fee for such a poor service.

Im sick of calling LARA, im sick of waiting on hold for 30-40 minutes, im sick of listening to customer service telling me there are no network problems in my area, and to turn off my phone, clean the sim, delete my sms inbox.... If a call is over 5 minutes it drops out, on Christmas Eve there were network problems all day. Im surprised that on the Vodafone website, where their apology is, that they have a blog going that is scathing of their service, they couldn't even get their network feedback email address right. Vodafone couldn't organise a root in a brothel with a fist full of fiftys.

So after a few weeks trying to obtain an iphone upgrade through Vodafone, I was finally told that I could go direct to the apple store in Sydney who could do it for me as Vodafone didn't have any stock. It was all done and dusted in about 30mins. Loved the new phone, but as of Sunday my 3G service has decided not to work, I have difficulties making phone calls, my voicemail come in a few hours late and yet i seem to have full signal and the 3G sign is visible. Yesterday I spent a total of about 3 hrs on hold trying to speak to someone who doesn't speak English very well. Not to mention I am on my holiday! So I speak to someone who tells me to reset my settings and that should fix the problem. Did this about 6 times and it's not fixed anything. So I call back and when I finally get to speak to someone they tell me I should turn off my 3G and just use the 2g network which is super slow. He then transfers me to someone in 'network support' so they can look into the issue. I hung up after being on hold for 53mins so never spoke to anyone. I gave up. I have been with Vodafone for about 10 years and it is absolutely shocking, customer service is simply a joke.

it is the worst mobile internet ever, we were told that the coverage in our area was exelent but it has the lowest frequancy , and even sometimes we dont even have any.
the customer service is worse , it takes them more than 30 mins to answer the phone.
our bills are always more than 100$ even tho we never go over the limit and when we called them they said the usage counter "is not 100% acurate".

I live in Melbourne, I am on a prepaid service and cannot make any calls from my home as there is always a 'limited service' display on the screen. It is frustrating that I am paying for a service that is not available. I am on call for work and due to the poor service all calls go straight to voice message and then I am unable to retrieve my messages as there is no service. How dare a company not deliver a service they are promising their customers. It is misleading and a complete misrepresentation to the consumer. Not only will I not return as a customer, I will definitely not be a brand advocate for this company.

Constant drop outs. Absolutely CRAP 3G coverage. Delayed voicemail plus I was on hold to customer service for 2 hours. They then said to me my first month would be free but when I got my first bill they had still charged me.
6291 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is The Great Scam at 28 Dec 2010 09:41:19 AM
We have all been scammed. My now "ex" girlfriend suggested I change to Vodafone as it was cheaper - I think she set me up. Vodafone's network is not fit for purpose. Their customer service and service level management is non-existent. Yes, Telstra and Optus have had their issues, but never this bad. It is an insult they are heavily marketing and discounting service to attract more customers, yet clearly they cannot support the current user base. And it is impossible to get any response from their customer service
6290 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is complete fail!!! at 28 Dec 2010 09:40:03 AM
the usual dropped calls, no reception...EVER!, poor battery life and delayed voicemail messages...
AS WELL AS; shocking customer service, a complete disinterest in the customers.
Constant overdue accounts because they are too lazy to reprocess credit cards... they try once and assume my card has been rejected! I am sick of the inconvenience of having to get on the phone with the every bloody month!
Cant even understand what the person on the other side of the phone is saying to you half the time.
I have been waiting for my phone o be unlocked for weeks now! and all they can say is there is nothing we can do! AND!!! they charge a fee to unlock it... Optus doesn't.
I have been with Vodafone for 10 years and this is the last... as soon as my contract is up I am moving over to another carrier. I AM SO SICK OF VODAFONE!

6285 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Can't receive international text messages at 28 Dec 2010 09:38:09 AM
I can't receieve International text messages and when I sent international text messages vodafone will not deliver the message but they will charge me.I cmplained but I was told by one of their customer services team from India that vodafone do not send or receive text messages from some countries,I questioned why but he told me that he does not know why.I told him that when I was getting into the contract I was not informed but he said he cannot help me.
6281 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is No Signal, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, The list goes on !!!!! at 28 Dec 2010 09:36:50 AM
On the 28/05/2009 I was connected to "3" Mobile Broadband(Vodafone/Hutchison 3G Australia Pty Ltd), since day one the speed was slower than dial up, most times there was no signal to connect, I made numerous complaints to "3", almost always no responce from them, after months of this s##t with "3" I stopped paying for their non existant service, now they have dedt collectors chasing me for good money for an appalling service, I do not know of any business that charges for a service that cannot be delivered and want to do nothing about it...They are S##T, STAY RIGHT AWAY FROM VODAFONE/HUTCHISON
6277 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is THE WORST at 28 Dec 2010 09:35:46 AM
Customer service is out the window for Vodafone. Lara is so stupid, she does not understand what i say and frustrates me further. When i eventually get somewhere the person is so hard to understand. The issue i had was not able to download Vodafones free monthly pics and tones. You would not believe how hard that was to explain. And in the end after being transferred many times, the woman said she could not help me anymore and disconnected the phone!!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT
6275 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is No coverage!!!!!!!! at 28 Dec 2010 09:34:28 AM
I live in town, not rural Margaret River Wa. I must admit to being duped by 'The best deal' hook when I signed up with Voda-phony, although in my defence I did check with them first what they're claimed coverage in our area was like, being reasured it was equivilent to Telstra. (gulible) For the past eight months of 'service' I would estimate around only 60% of the day I have at best a weak signal (1-2bars) the rest of the time NO SERVICE. I thought it unique to just rural areas until I went to friends homes in Balcatta and Ellensbrook in Perth to find then same weak signal. Voda-phony gave us free calls all day a couple of Saturdays ago for compensation for poor service, which is of little use when your phone keeps dropping out. Anyway enough complaining from me just give us what we pay good money for service. Ash
6272 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Third World Network at 28 Dec 2010 09:33:50 AM
Voice and data service drop out, calls/text not received. Cannot be used for business as too unreliable. Their call centre is impossible to reach. Their automated email response is confusing and not helpful, basically has lots of words with no information and ends saying "Awaiting Customer Response" or basically we dont care, go away. This is not customer service. Seems like they are selling 1000 seats on a bus that only has the capacity to seat 20. How can Govt allow this to occur, as clearly their service/network is dodgy and a scam
6271 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Never works in my building in the city at 28 Dec 2010 09:33:33 AM
I run my own consultancy and i receive nearly 50 calls per day on my phone and my office is located right in the middle of the city, and i can't hear the calling person properly and voice cuts off and then in return i have to call them back from the land line number, what a frustration i have been going through for last two months, prior to this i was with another provider and never had such problem before i ported my service to Vodafone on an infinite plan.
* Then their MyVodafone section never works
* Customer service takes at least 30-40 to get through
* Customer service at the Elizbeth store takes atleast 30 minutes to get through and there is always a queue (they should hire more staff).
* I should never have joined Vodafone in the first place.

No coverage in my home town have to manually select Telstra network to have any service therefore I cant use my 2G of data I pay for per month. Worst customer service I have ever heard in my life transferred from one dept. to another by people who don't know what they are talking about, hate that stupid LARA!!
One received a bill over $1000 Collections were extremely rude saying it was all my fault for making to many calls making me cry, then next time I rang the lady investigated my account and said there had been a mistake credited me $500!!!!

6266 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Epic Fail. at 28 Dec 2010 09:32:38 AM
My partner and i got phones at the same time.
First fail. Our phones are registered to the other partner.
Second Fail. I live in a capital city. I expect reception in a CAPITAL CITY. Obviously wanting reception is too big a wish.
Third Fail. When it rains. I essentially have no phone. I get no sms, no voicemail, almost no phonecalls (the ones that do get through, only last 2 seconds before theyt cut out).
Fourth Fail. I recieve sms' and voicemail hours to a WEEK after they were sent/recorded.... I'm supposed to have Visual voicemail. This is what i'm paying for people! (Because thats not working i'm paying to retrieve my voicemail)
Fifth Fail. I expect customer service. By customer service I mean someone who: Can speak English. Who doesn't blame it on my phone. Who doesn't blind transfer me. Who actually knows what they're talking about. And I expect that someone could think of saying to customers when calling up, that the computer systems are down before having to wait an hour plus to talk to them. Also... No, we'll investigate it and call you back within 48hours (they never call back).
Sixth Fail. I can't go to the store to figure out my reception problems... I have to call the shoddy telephone line, which hurts my ears, and makes me wait, listening to the shoddy line for an hour or more.
I WANT OUT! Shame on you Vodafone. You should be shut down for bad customer service and bad service all round.

6265 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Pricing at 28 Dec 2010 09:32:11 AM
Having been with Vodafone 10years, i have recently had enough, of the exstortionate pricing, the exasperating voice recognition so called customer service, the incompetence, when it comes to resolving an issue and the general, screw the customer for more, $2.5billion dollar profit. Vodafone, service falls way short of price one pays to be on the Vodafone Network. I thought it was just me that was facing these issues, however the everyfailing network coverage and the general consensus, of other Vodafone customers share my frustration. I am currently facing a $2,000 terminated contact.

Wow, most the other Telco's have had problems in the past, short memories we have. Telstra's customer service has sucked for years and continues unabated.
Have been with Vodafone for about 15 years and I must say they have been excellent overall, have not had any issue's but then again I only use it for personal calls not business or any of the bandwidth hungry apps that have overwhelmed the system, they'll fix it. Could they have handled it better??, sure, chill out, you'll live longer. No pain here.

28 Dec 2010 09:39:14 AM: Don't get me started on Telstra....They are the biggest joke of a telecommunications company out. That said my experience with them has only been land line and broadband.
As for chilling out, personally i can grit and bear the problem with vodaphone but it is a a pain in the *** to pay for a service you don't recieve.

6238 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is RIDICULOUS at 28 Dec 2010 09:19:52 AM
Service was completely cut off without warning yesterday morning, right as I was trying to contact my boyfriend who was at the airport, leaving australia for 3 months.
I've got a brand new blackberry and just joined vodafone a few weeks ago. My call to customer service breaks down as follows:
- transferring 13 times (back and forth between "technical": 6 times)
- asked to use the feature where they call you back, was told would take 30 mins. 2 hours later, nothing.
- finally, i called back. i was on hold for a mammoth 3 hours. 3 HOURS.
- i was repeatedly told that it was my phone that was causing the problem, and told to remove the battery, over and over again.
- finally, i was told i would have to go into a vodafone store before they will restore any service to my phone.
Also: i had to endure John Mayer's Your Body is a Wonderland 4 times. And Maroon Five's Sunday Morning at least 6 times.
Thanks Vodafone!
