Dear visitor,
Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant
contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced
by Vodafone customers.
Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders.
You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.
Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.
More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly.
Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints.
The site will remain online for as long as possible as a
reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.
It has been a privilege to run this initiative
and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In
particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their
continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.
You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.
Until next time,
Adam Brimo

16945 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is WORST EVER at 24 Apr 2011 05:09:25 PM
Once again, a nation wide problem where we can't send messages. It's Easter! You think this stupid, shitty network could get it together for one day. Not to mention the fact that I have tried calling Vodafone 15 times in order to find out what is happening. In those 15 times I have not gotten through once, I have been forced to wait over 10 minutes each call, I was hung up on, my call was terminated, or there was a 'technical error' and i had to 'hang up and call again'. Not to mention that 'Lara' pisses me off, and the hold music SUCKS. My plan finishes in June and I will not be going back to this stupid, useless, overrated company that has NO idea how to deal with ANYTHING.

I use my phone for work, and have been unable to send SMS for the last 3 hours. And the only response I can get from Vodafone is a weak message on its network status page, basically saying, It Doesnt Work...oops. How do I get in on this class action I keep hearing about?
16930 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is massive fail at 24 Apr 2011 04:46:48 PM
It's easter, and as usual, I am unable to text, or call anyone. It has gotten so bad that I will do anything to get my contract cancelled!!
30 Apr 2011 09:36:44 PM: If you're willing to do ANYTHING to have your contract cancelled then why not just follow the process they abide by? Although it is lengthy they will eventually release you for free. Perhaps if you actually did something constructive about your predicament, rather than just waiting for them to fix it while complaining the entire time, it would have been sorted. Why do I have the feeling that you're the type of person that will having reception problems for months, complain to friends everyday, not say anything to the provider itself at all, then one day walk in to a store and expect to be disconnected for free and still be allowed to keep you phone?

What on Earth is going on with not being able to send messages?! Up until a couple of hours ago, I didn't have a single complaint. Screw you Vodafail! It's not like I don't have any plans to make and/or confirm over the LONG WEEKEND. Impeccable timing you jerks. And this time, I'd rather monetary compensation as opposed to a half-arsed apology in a mass email. You truly think that made me feel all warm and fuzzy? Disgusting.

I have 4 laptops in my office all with separate wireless modems 1 vodafone 1 crazy johns( vodafone ) 1 telstra dodo (optus) just lately the the vodafone & the crazy johns drop out there is signal but doesn't allow me to connect. To rule out laptop problems I swap laptops & dongles only the vodafone dongles don't work this system has worked for years, i think they are shedding data connections in favour of phone calls. Lucky I can change dongles easily.

I'm on the $49 cap and only getting the usage and data for the $39 cap, and have been for 3 months without me noticing. Called Vodafone and waited for THREE HOURS of being reassured by Lara that my call would be answered soon, and being told to 'hang in there', eventually got to talk to an arrogant representative that spoke very broken English and could not understand the issue, after which I asked to be transferred to his supervisor who then after another 20 minutes of being on hold eventually fixed the problem, and after I arguing with the man for 10 minutes he reluctantly gave me 5 months free.
16902 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Past its use by date at 22 Apr 2011 10:03:30 PM
I joined Vodafone about 5 years ago. Back then the price was good and the service was passable. I stuck with the "You get what you pay for" adage, and thought the price per service was a fair arrangement.
A couple of years ago on new years eve, I thought it would be cool to send some of my friends a "Happy new year" message. It took three quarters of an hour to send. A friend of mine who is with Telstra took 5 minutes to send his. But I passed it off as being an unusual situation and thought no more about it.
Since then, every so often, a call would disconnect or I would find that the person I was talking to just could not hear me half way through a sentence.
Still, "You get what you pay for"...
But now I think about it, in the last few months, I cannot remember one single call that was either not cut off or did not go dead at least once during a conversation.
Once in a while for the price you think "Fair enough" after all the service is cheap, but every call????
I thought it was just me, but after seeing this site I realise that is just not the case.
And the "Vodafail The Musical / Telephone - A Tribute to 3 & Vodafone Australia" just hits the nail on the head. The fact that a group put time and effort into such a production indicates something in itself.
I intend to upgrade my phone in a few days and when I do I will be moving lock stock and barrel to Telstra. I was going to upgrade to the "Google Nexus S" but it seems that Vodafone have exclusive rights to this phone. Big mistake Google. As good as this phone looks, there is no point connecting anything to a dead network. I will therefore go for a lesser phone on a network that works.

I am thoroughly sick of getting spam SMSs from vodafone advertising services and promotions I will never use. The worst was the spam recorded phone call I got from them - pulled over the car to answer the phone and got "Lara" from Vodafone. FUCK OFF!
16900 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Pathetic Service at 22 Apr 2011 12:22:43 PM
Why can't Vodafone simply PUT MORE CUSTOMER service agents on the phones! Every time you call in with an issue (and there are many issues), the wait time is INSANE! I've been waiting for 1 hour 40 minutes and still on hold being told "won't be too much longer"....
Vodafone Managament, you are pathetic!
If you really want to improve customer service - PUT MORE AGENTS ON THE PHONES! It is not rocket science.

16899 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is PATHETIC at 22 Apr 2011 11:02:40 AM
I have been dramtically overcharged on my bill (overcharged in excess of $100 in all cases), 3 times over a 7 month period. Every time the bill arrives I have to review it, and then spend at least an hour trying to get through to customer service (while continually hearing some cheery recorded voice tell me they will be with me really soon!) and convince someone in India that there actually is an issue with my bill. Three times Vodafone have been unable to explain the billing issue, and after many hours of my time spent to convince them, credits have been applied each time. The most recent time this occured, it has taken me 2 weeks to get Vodafone to understand the issue and admit the bill is not correct. I have now received my latest bill, and discovered they are charging me a $10 charge for late payment on my last bill, all which was due to me trying to chase them and get someone to understand and then correct their issue in the first place.
Vodafone's service is an absolute disgrace. You have to ask what the management team is actually doing in the organisation to allow it to get this bad! The incompetence is staggering!
I've wasted enough of my time dealing with this incompetence, and now moving my mobile and my wife's mobile over to Optus! Well done Vodafone - another good customer you have thrown away!

25 Apr 2011 09:30:23 PM: Hate to tell you,but optus has just as bad shit reception, they have heaps of issues lately, i know heaps of people wanting out of optus, for bit extra $$$ go with telstra......
25 Apr 2011 09:37:03 PM: It would have been an automated charge, so it's not really anybodies fault and they could credit it straight away. But I agree with the above poster. Optus have massive issues with both service and support. Telstra is expensive but the way to go.
30 Apr 2011 10:12:11 PM: If you went in to a store and had them walk you through your bill then they would most likely be able to explain why you were being overcharged, or rather, why you were being correctly charged. If it was incorrect, they would be able to call and have it correct. If you didn't pay your bill on time they have every right to charge you a late payment and, as the above user stated, any incorrect charges can simply be credited back to you.
2 May 2011 01:53:46 PM: Your joking right. Another Vodafail person trying to make things sound all nice and rosey. You are a tool. Have you ever tried walking into a Vodafone store? If your not there to get a new contract or to purchase an accessory, then they dont want to know and tell you to call 1555 to get it sort.
30 Aug 2011 06:24:57 AM: That is absolutely correct. The stores will not assist you unless you're getting a new phone & new contract or purchasing accessories. They tell you to call 1555 to get it sorted. Absoluletly pathethic.
16897 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is 150% FAIL at 21 Apr 2011 11:47:29 PM
My problems with Vodafone have only ever increased day by day. A while back I thought I was in luck compared to other users who were experiencing so many vodafail problems but now I am in the same boat as them - I am paying at least $99 per mth for service I am getting only around 25% of the time?!!! I have NO PHONE RECEPTION FOR CALLS, INTERNET USAGE for around 75% of the day - NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! It can take me about 30 calls to get in contact with my husband with every call attempt saying "CALL FAILED". Once I can finally get in contact with him, the call will drop out within a minute or less. THis is our only way of contacting eachother when we have a toddler and I'm pregnant with twins! We rely on reliable mobile service which we are not getting!!! I have people claim that they try to contact me on a daily basis with NO LUCK - my mother states she can try phoning me a million times before she finally gets thru to me. I receive delayed msgs all of the time. When I have tried phoning vodafone to complain, I have chosen the option for them to call me back but once they have phoned me back, the call has dropped out due to no reception and they don't even bother to phone me back again!!!! WHAT THE?! So I have to start again! And this happened around 3 times in a row before I finally had a phonecall that lasted more than a couple of minutes. Could not believe they didn't have the taste to phone me back after the call dropped out thanks to vodafone. Surely they are all aware of the problems. I am sick of paying so much for a service I am not getting. I am really starting to lose it emotionally due to the continual frustration with the daily problems with vodafone. I will be contacting them again shortly and enquiring about my options - one of being NOT being charged for a service I'm not getting until their issues are resolved!!!
22 Apr 2011 10:49:35 AM: You have given Vodafail a fair crack of the whip and they have not responded in a timely and professional manner.
Methinks, time to get the big guns out.
Your next step is the TIO. Vodafail does listen to the TIO.
The contact details are at the top of the page in the How To Complain tab, it literally only takes 3 minutes to complete the online form, then Vodafail has a set period of time to respond to your query.
Vodafail has to contact you and come to a mutually agreed resolution, that could include termination of contract with no exit fees.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

26 Apr 2011 12:13:06 AM: also, REFUSE TO PAY YOUR VODAFONE BILLS - and send them a written letter in the post advising them to shove their service, their bills and their exit fees where the sun don't shine. If enough of us do this, then perhaps they might realize we're not stupid and they either shape up or ship out. Actions speak louder than words.

16895 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Poor reception with Repeated Call Dropout at 21 Apr 2011 10:10:28 PM
It is impossible to do business on the mobile using Vodafone. I live within 10 Km of the Sydney CBD. I can phone a number when I see 2-3 bars and then the reception frequently cuts even before the phone starts to ring. I need then to use the landline and this becomes expensive, with long distance calls. Even standing stock still with what starts as some reception, the call REPEATEDLY drops out. I went on the Vodafone unlimited plan to be able to use it, not to throw away money. It is the same problem inside or outside my property.
When I renewed contact with a firm in Queensland just today, I apologised stating the mobile problem Immediately the receptionist said 'Vodafone' - she has the same problem. What is Vodafone planning to do to rectify this??? Their image is at an all time low.

Since I upgrade my service from 3 to vodafone. I got very limited reception. while my husband using the 3 network and call perfectly fine inside my house, the vodafone does not have any reception. I have to use optus homephone to call out. Its really inconvenience. I believe they should put some signal booster in lidcombe Area

I found that sending WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE was best, as their charter states that they have to reply in writing and that way you are not there all day talking to some wombat overseas with the risk of the call dropping out half way. At least with a letter you know how long it will take to get done.

and tell them what you would like - most likely, you want out of your contract because the poor service is unbearable. Tell them that you don't have all day to be on the phone to their technical staff and that the onus is not on you to prove that the service is poor - and in any case they are free to come around outside your residence and do some signal testing if they really want to be proactive.
Be clear and concise and outline what you feel to be appropriate resolution.
They will most likely provide a poor response, demonstrating that they haven't even read your letter properly. At this stage you elevate it to the TIO, having done your bit to resolve the problem.
If they suspend your service due to non-payment of your bill (like they did to me) you can remind them that the amount is in dispute and that they can't legally apply credit management action, but they probably still will.
Slowly but surely the TIO will contact you and ask if it's been resolved. You will probably hear from someone in the resolutions team who is actually competent and skilled in customer service, trying to help (remember that the TIO is like a gun to the head for them). In my case, they offered to cut my bill in half for the next two months, and if the service didn't improve I was free to walk - sounded reasonable. After finding the service worse than ever in the following week, I decided to call him back and advise that I wanted out now. He agreed - just asked me to return the handset.
In short, it's not hard to break your contract (from my experience) provided that you have a genuine problem, have tried to resolve it with them, are reasonably patient and methodical and involve the TIO at the right time.
Good luck
ps. rate highly if you think it's valuable - I want as many as people as possible to know how to get out of what is a very stressful time with this bogus provider!!
I found that sending WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE was best, as their charter states that they have to reply in writing and that way you are not there all day talking to some wombat overseas with the risk of the call dropping out half way. At least with a letter you know how long it will take to get done.

16892 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Terrible coverage at 21 Apr 2011 08:57:38 PM
I have been a vodaphone customer since 1993. I have showen loyalty to a company who has, up until recently given me good service. No longer, my coverage drops out an average of 10 times a day no matter wher I am in Perth, ability to send and recieve SMS is sporadic and voicmail often is unavailable. I struggle to rationalise why I am still with Vodaphone.
Loyalty is important to me so i have stuck with the company for this year, but what I find very difficult to understand is why i have not been gioven an honest explanation as to why I am experiencing such a sub standard service. I have no idea how long these network problems are going to continue.Do they contact me, give me anything that can help me rationalise why I am still a customer? No

16890 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is Quite bad at 21 Apr 2011 06:53:28 PM
Coverage in my area (part of Queens Park, WA) is nearly nonexistent - just bad enough to prevent the phone from roaming onto another network that works. Calls drop all the time, voicemail takes up to an hour to come through. Every phone company has these issues somewhere, though. The amazing thing is: Vodafone are upgrading their coverage. The new rollout in my area is on 850MHz. My *BRAND* *NEW* HTC Desire HD, a *VODAFONE* *EXCLUSIVE* phone, doesn't support 850MHz. Vodafone are rolling out new coverage users of their exclusive phones won't be able to use!
16889 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is massive failure. at 21 Apr 2011 03:55:05 PM
In the period of time that Vodafone had announced that they were having issues with coverage, mobile internet and over charging customers, I recieved a bill for $567. This is 5 times more than I had ever recieved before and I have been with Vodafail for roughly 30 months. I tried to get this sorted out as it was publically known that they were a complete shambles with their phone services. I recieved a... "$200" credit..? For a bill still 3 times more than it would normally been in the time vodafail had said they had issues? That was apparently the best they could do. I rang them back today and tried to organise a payment plan. I offered to pay $250 right then and there to keep my phone unbarred over easter. That apparently wasn't enough. I was supposed to pay $377 which was out of my means. I then asked to speak to her manager, a rather useful fellow that suggested I needed to speak with the relevant department regarding my reception and phone issues. He very nicely transferred me to the next department saying that he will advise the person as to the situation so we could get it sorted out. (I was a bit shocked at that point) After being transferred, I had to tell that person the SAME thing again. She said she would ring me back in an hour. I waited an hour, she got back to me and pretty much called me a liar saying that I hadn't spoken to anyone else before her EVEN THOUGH I was transferred to her by a supervisor. She then placed me on hold for about 10 minutes to find out more, after getting back from the hold, she transferred me to someone else that AGAIN asked me to tell them the same story. At that point I was beyond frustrated and gave the guy a piece of my mind. He repeatedly told me that there was -NO- notes made about this job and I had to explain it all to him because he didnt know what was going on. I explained it AGAIN, the option he gave me was to sort out a payment arrangement or a payment extension which wasn't what I rang them for. He then presented me the option with speaking to Customer Service if I believed that I was eligible for some kind of compensation. (I also brought up the public announcement of the problems with Vodafone and the buffoon I was talking to said he didn't know anything about it even though it's posted on Vodafail's website) I picked the option of being transferred to Customer Service to YET AGAIN explain my situation. And here it comes, the icing on the cake. I'm mid-way through explaining this all to the Customer "Service" representative, and I notice that the phone goes rather quite. AND TRUE TO AMAZING SERVICE BY VODAFONE, the call drops and they dont ring me back.

The moral of the story is:
Just make sure you get the incident number, Vodafone CSR name and id, date and time of call, regardless of the number of people you have to speak to.........
For you my friend, the next step is the TIO, details at the top of the page on the How To Complain tab.
I understand they (TIO) will stop any disputed payments until a full investigation has been completed by Vodafone. Also it does focus Vodafone as they have a time scale to adhere to resolve the issue, the other good news..........Vodafone must phone you, not the other way round.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

26 Apr 2011 03:08:37 PM: Marsh lost my insurance claim when my phone was broken and left me paying for a phone I couldn't use for months. When they finally found it despite telling me they were sending me a new phone that never happened. I had to call them up only to find out they couldn't replace my phone as it was no longer available. In the end I bought an iPhone outright and they agreed to reimburse me. What a fuckaround!

I was aware of all the stories so when my coverage went from patchy to nil I was not surprised. I filled in the support form to ask what had changed. The reply email included the standard text about coverage and closed my call. I then phoned to complain as my question had not been answered and was advised my account was overdue. A simple banking error which was camoflaged by all the current issues and over zealous closure of my call.

Im currently with Three ( who are equally deserving of the title "epic fail" as vodafone), and im right in the middle of a large Three 3g zone on their coverage map. However I am constantly disconnected from their and the Roaming charges are ALWAYS READY TO PUNCE ON ALL OF US UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS. What a bloody rip-off, giving 2GB of net for Iphone customers so that when they try to use it at least 100-200mb will be roaming = 50-100 dollars of free cash for them!
16885 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Worst Company to work in at 21 Apr 2011 12:35:24 PM
I started work with Vodafone sometime ago and this month my work hours as a casual have been cut into less than half earning $250 a fortnight, this was without any information or heads up, when talked with Store incharge he responds I can't do anything as Vodafone has told us to reduce work hours. I feel I am better off with Centrelink (which I totally despise for making people bludgers). shift hours keep on changing week to week. When I went for interview we were told we shall be getting a minimum of 20hrs/week, once the shitstorm from the customers has calmed down the stormtroopers have been sent into oblivion. So its not just the customers, its screw anyone and everyone after we have made use of them, this amounts to Good Ol Capitalism which as we can see has brought upon us the doom of mankind. 16881 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Huh? at 21 Apr 2011 10:40:50 AM
After having constant connection problems with Vodafone, they blamed my iphone so i rolled over my contract and paid a fee to get a new iphone. Surprise surprise, i'm constantly uncontactable, receive voicemails days later, texts either never arrive or days late and constantly unable to make a call even though it says full reception. Have contacted vodafone and ripped into them countless times and get the same response "I understand your frustrated" or "We understand you are having network difficulties" or "we understand you need to be contactible" The last straw was when all my calls went straight to voicemail (of which I still havnt got those voicemails a week later) for hours and hours and as a result, my kid was stuck on the other side of town for hours. NOT FRIKKEN HAPPY! so once again, on the phone to 'We understand India' and after a half hour convo that got no where, she promised to call me back, and never did. I called them back and they hung up on me while trying to transfer. THEN!!! this is good... another Indian calls to make sure i was happy with the customer service! So i vent YET AGAIN. Hang up with no resolution. Get another call in an hour from... wait for it... AN AUSSIE! Wanting to check if I was happy. VENT AGAIN! She agreed that Vodafone was bull shit and understood why I was p*ssed off. Also found out that all calls go over seas too which is terrific cause there is a massive communication problem there and nothing ever gets resolved. I have had to go and buy a pre paid sim card and phone now to use when vodafone fails. in the past couple days, that has been 3 times. What a crock of sh*t. BAH!!!!!

21 Apr 2011 10:00:22 AM: Cancel your contract. TIO are aware of the problems with VF and you only have to follow a roughly four (4) week process. Write to VF with your complaint, request for cancellation and any financial compensation you deem 'fair' (be reasonable). Expect to get a negative reply.
Then, simply call TIO with your issues and they do the rest. Within days, VF will call and possibly offer you a deal less than what you want and expect; it is up to you what you accept. If not satisfied, refuse the deal, contact the TIO again and then VF are given another three (3) weeks to contact you again.
You will get your contract cancelled if you follow TIO's advice

This coming from an employee for over 6 years and in that whole time defended the brand...Since the merger of 3 and Vodafone the care and respect for its own employees has become no existant. This has reduced the level of help that staff are wanting to give as they get zero support from the company as a whole. VHA is stuck in its own little world....i am starting to see long serving and extremely experienced staff look for outs as its nothing but hell to work in a store anymore. Everyday without fail we get abused, sworn at, even in some cases physically threatened....all for what....a mobile phone!!....We at the stores are just people like everyone else on this webpage that are just trying to make ends meet.... I have loved working for vodafone unfortunately this job has become a nightmare
21 Apr 2011 09:51:30 AM: I'm sorry to hear that you are copping a lot of abuse from disgruntled customers. Most of them are understandably at their wits end with the service they are receiving and have no where to go but the stores. It's really up to Vodafone themselves to provide the support and service staff need to do their job effectively. I hope vodafone improves their service and that your job gets a bit easier.

22 Apr 2011 12:16:03 PM: The best place to go when you have problems with your supplier is the Telephone Industry Ombudsman (TIO) in your state (look them up in the phone book)...
There you can lodge a complaint and they will give you a complaint reference number and a phone number to a dedicated customer service center for your provided (no, not in India).
Lodging a complaint leads to two outcomes:
1. your provided is charged a TIO fee for each complaint
2. you problem is much more likely to be resolved quickly..
In my case, 1 & 1/2 hours at the store where helpful staff and myself battled the issue with customer service, compared to 10 minutes outlining my problem to TIO and a further 10 minutes with the TIO supplied dedicated number to get a final resolution to my problem...
Thanks to the staff at the local store tried all they could to assist and finally gave me the number to the TIO.. I was not so self involved to be unable to feel the staffs frustration at head office...

After the usual shit service from Vodafone and mahy attempts to contact them wiht no luck, I sent an email to customer service requesting my phone was cut off given the consistent call drop-outs, lack of service etc etc. The usual right. My intent was end of contract given I had 2 months left.
They cut my phone off straight away. No warning, my phone just went dead on the first day I started my new job. This is also my business phone number for the business I run on the side, and the number I have had for many many years. They cut it off so it was not portable to another carrier.
Naturally I was furios and they confirmed given the situaion there would be no further charges on the account. I come home today to a debtor's notice for 2 months outstanding payments. For a phone they have cut off.
I have lost business, had friends and family emailing me concerned I was not contactable and they want to charge me? After emailing to say there would be no more charge. I am FUMING.

After many attempt at trying to resolve both mobile phone reception issues, mobile broadband reception issues and being told lots of times by customer service staff that "there is no problem", I have decided to abandon them as a service provider. Yesterday I took my USB stick to the Canberra store after over two hours and several people in customer services being unable to help me. In store the staff were unprofessional, serving several people at once and fooling around with each other. After 2 hours in the store trying to sort the same problem the manager eventually offered a months free mobile broadband. When it came to authorise it customer care services were down and they were not processing anything till today. I was promised someone would call me today. The young man I dealt with mainly yesterday had not followed it up, seemed surprised to see me today and had lost my phone number he did not seem too bothered that he had not tried to resolve my issue. I left with promises that it would be sorted today, only to get a phone call an hour ago to say that customer services have refused to give me the free month. Not surprisingly I got a bit annoyed. He has now agreed to call his manager to escalate it to him to get sorted. I am not sur that I have ever came across or heard of a service as bad as this.

I just got in-principle agreement to be released from my contracts with Vodafone and feel so relieved that I don't have to put up with the poor products and service for any longer...yet still frustrated as hell that I am paying for a product which simply doesn't work and has caused me soooo much inconvenience and grey hairs.
While this site is great, I would like to do more to stop others getting caught in the Vodafone net. We need something more tangible....a nationwide-sticker campaign...advertisements in newspapers, social media, viral videos...maybe all of the above. There is so much anger out there and if we can harness it then we have awesome power. I myself would happily put up a couple of hundred dollars of my own money just to know that I had stopped half a dozen other customers being sucked into this whole sham company.
Email me if you have ideas on how we could do this, or want to help such a campaign.

All day I've had absolutely NO data coverage inspite of me being right in Launceston's CBD. Even voice coverage (2G) is next to non-existant!
A message was left with vodaphone at least 4 hours ago and still nothing, not even a response or so much as an automated message!

I travel from Penrith each morning by train and each morning (on my 3GS Iphone with latest software upgrade) I try to listen to radio only to have my connection drop out just outside Mt Druitt then it won't pick up till after Parra then drops out before Strathfield all the way to central with no ability to pick up the radio signals. Whats confusing is for most of the journey I have enough signal strength. On top of this in last few days my iphone has been stuck on "searching" for the vodafone network, each time I have to restart for the network to be found. I'm not sure if these issue are a vodafone issue or an iphone issue.
25 Apr 2011 01:49:21 AM: Definitely Vodafone issue mate, I have the same headache with Vodafone broadband - disconnects every few minutes, causes my downloads to stop and wasting bandwidth.

26 Apr 2011 12:15:30 AM: REFUSE TO PAY YOUR VODAFONE BILLS - and send them a written letter in the post advising them to shove their service, their bills and their exit fees where the sun don't shine. If enough of us do this, then perhaps they might realize we're not stupid and they either shape up or ship out. Actions speak louder than words.

Pay $69 per month for the following: 99% of the time no reception/ coverage, reception drop out, text messages and voice mail that arrives days later if they arrive at all. Resending text messages frequently as the reception drops out halfway through sending the text. Have to use the mobile phone which doesn't have reception to contact the Vodafone customer care as Vodafone doesn't have a local phone number anymore, to complain about the poor reception. Vodafone gave me 3 months free, great I cant use my bloody phone anyway.
20 Apr 2011 05:01:57 PM: Move to telstra mate.. excellent internet and phone connectivity :)

Use vodaphone Iphone drops out in EVERY cak an average of 35 calls PER DAY
Internet USB on average drops internet every 4n to 5 minutes - what used to take me 1/2 hours work to do now takes over 2 hours because internet constantly drops out - frustration is incredible I have spent many nights in tears - up to midnight each night from 9pm just to record my days work which I should be able to record in half an hour. Have had 3 replacement USB's for my broadband connection - each one has failed and I've gone back to using one that is 3 years old and its the only one that works properly - but still doesn't stop the internet dropping me every few minutes. I am a workplace trainer taking care of 80 students and when they send me work to mark I have to mark it that night and send them a reply - because my internet fails so badly sometimes I have to rely on my iphone email to answer their questions and that's a lot harder because of the small typing area on a phone. FED UP BIG TIME!!!!!!!!

The Vodafone network is a disgrace and it's "robbing" it's customers of benefiting from a decent network. I switched over to Telstra this past weekend. All I can say is "why didn't I do this way earlier?". Fantastic signal strength from Telstra, as well as way faster internet '3G' connectivity. No more dropped calls, text messages fly through - to name but a few. Vadafone better do something about their terrible network soon, or else they are going to lose many customers. Thank you to Telstra for making my mobile experience more pleasurable! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH VODAFONE!!! Support the other networks.
they are on it now.
