Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

4044 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Coverage failure at 27 Dec 2010 05:16:32 PM
We are on holiday in Adelaide staying at my mother's retirement village & have not had enough coverage to make phone calls from her home ANYWHERE, & have had to resort to constant texting. Our family are all on 3 (now coverage by vodaphone instead of telstra) so should have been able to ring them for free, but alas am having to resort to constant text messaging. We got no say in the take over of 3 and did not sign up with vodaphone, so am very, very unhappy with the service.

4043 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Very!!!!!!!! at 27 Dec 2010 05:16:27 PM
After over 24 months of drop out calls, missed messages, hours and hours and hours on the phone waiting to get through, 4 months to contact me in regards to an Insurance Claim on a dude 3 mobile, and still sending me credit Bills of $9.60 which I have called countless times to sort out, I changed to 3 network, now Vodafone own it, I am very concerned. It is simply unacceptable and totally unprofessional in today's technology world - and you should be able to get out of contracts if for example - 3 failure customers service criteria are met and no cost - this might wake the fools up...................

Vodaphone was pretty good until it merged with 3. That's when the trouble started. Now it's just hopeless. I bought a prepaid almost 2 years ago and had little trouble until the last 6 months. Now there is no back-up service. It's like they just don't want to know. Very sad.

4041 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Pathetic "Service" Provider at 27 Dec 2010 05:16:04 PM
Phone has full service but callers are being told that it is switched off or out of range. Text messages being delivered up to 6-7 hours later than being sent (and usually all at once). Voicemail messages being delivered up to 48 hours after being left. "No Service" in the centre of major metropolitan areas.

We are moving our business of nearly 2000 staff to another provider who actually know what they are doing.

4038 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is HUGE!!! at 27 Dec 2010 05:15:48 PM
I'm a 10 year veteran of vodafoney - just too lazy to change carrier coz ultimately they're all the same or they are TELSTRA - TOO EXPENSIVE.

For manoths and months now I've suffered call drop outs in Redfern NSW, On the M4 freeway anywhere near Sydney Olympic Park, and in the Parramatta area. I get appalling feedback on most calls, the echo of my voice bouncing back is painful for my hears and gives me headaches. I use the phone all the time hands free on the headset while driving and my phone call bills show how many times I have to hang up and re-dial calls - that is if the call hasn't unexpectedly dropped out by itself. Everyone who works in my building knows vodafone does not work unless near a window.

I pay $79 a month for this joke. Let's not forget the appallingly slow speed and constant 'poor' connection for mobile internet access to my laptop anywhere in Randwick

I called them on 15th December. It took over an hour from Tech Dept to billing (who tried to send me back to Tech Dept) before I was offered a $100 credit. It took until 26th December before that credit showed up on the total owing for my December bill due 30th December.

Call 'em. Make 'em give you a refund or credit. And keep doing it every month until these clowns get their infrastructure sound enough to sell more lines to new customers.

AND PUH-LEZE!!! Get their idiot sales people to stop calling me offering fantastic "new" 2-year $79 contracts with up to $660 of free calls per month when they are offering INFINITY plans - what an insult to intelligence!!!!

P!SSED ORF!!!

4036 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is pathetic at 27 Dec 2010 05:15:23 PM
As per all other complaints I have known about this conspiracy for quite some time. I have talked to quite a few people about this being a conspiracy as in continous drop outs, connection failures, the phone turning off, rebooting on its own, and it is a pain in the arse. For one phone call I can end up re dialling up to four times, which means I am being charged the connection fee that many times. This is Vodaphones way of making more money out of me for that one call. Not happy at all. Will be seeing Vodafail soon.

4032 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is extremily bad service at 27 Dec 2010 05:14:44 PM
Hi
I am so over Vodafone there billing service is a discrace i received a email bill from them saying I owed $15 odd and when I logged on to pay it told me I owed $78.99 and when I sms 1512 it told me another amount. I called the customer diservice section to be placed on hold for 45 minutes to be simply told we are not sure and ill put you through to our billing department.
I spoke to a woman there who said she would look into it and asked for my password (not my 4 digit access pin) but my password and when I refused she said well i cant help you and hung up on me.......
If Vodafone cant look into a billing problem where do we go from here.
As for the service in Fairfield my phone has 1 bar and im told its simply my fault and upgrade the phone. if thats the case I will ask Apple whens the new IPhone 5 coming out. LOL

4031 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is chages at 27 Dec 2010 05:14:41 PM
Already added about 200 words earlier, but something more comes to mind.
Been with Vodafone for 8 years now. What I see has happened over the years, is:
1. Introduction of cap plans - fine.
2. More value for the same cap - not bad, I am impressed.
3. Call charges and EXCLUSIONS: Have noticed this over the years that although 1 and 2 is done, the call charges have almost doubled. I remember paying 1c/sec + 25c flagfall. NOW, calls are MORE expensive, FLAGFALL is HIGHER.
ARE we really getting more value, or same value in a different form?
I think thats misleading as well - you tell customers they are getting more value, but really you are not, considering all exlcusions, extra fees and charges, credit card fees while paying your bill, etc etc. NEVER before did I ever pay a CC fee, for paying my bills via CC. Why now? I though we are moving ahead.

I am in a messy bill of around $2000. Though I may be blamed for overuse above the monthly plan of $69pm, I blame vodafone balance updates which take up to 2 days late. I also don't have any quality reception at all inside my apartment though I'm located right near Melbourne city in Hawthorn. Calling customer service takes around 30min to 45 mins to get through or never at all. I have been conned into signing a contract with vodafone

took 2 weeks to get phone connected, Advised due to employment good signal imperative... assured me it would have coverage at home...I have almost nothing. I have had to connect a telstra landline so my elderly parents can call me at home so on top of $50 months vodaphone bill also have a telstra bill to pay, so double the expense.

4025 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is slow internet at 27 Dec 2010 05:13:29 PM
my internet loading time seems to be very slow and considering I'm a new user of a "smart phone" i thought this was the norm - My friend is on another network and has now shown me that on her phone the pages should load quicker.
at first i thought it was the result of using too much of the the internet credit, but when i checked my usage it wasnt the case.
Also i found the use of the navagation device very slow too. I was hoping to use my new "smart phone" as a "navman" but found it took to long to registers where i was at the time.
I thought it was my Nokia x6 - but now it all makes sense.
Oh and one more thought - i was sent a sms to my phone claiming the bill had been emailed to me (it seemed a little over priced) and when i checked my email account ( to work out why the cost of the bill was so high) the bill had not actually been emailed to me.
I think i may need to consider another network - its ashame i'm on this stupid plan for the next 7 months :(

4024 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Compromised Network at 27 Dec 2010 05:13:06 PM
I have observed "glitches", failures to receive messages, failures for messages I have sent to arrive, spam messages, and "faults" that persistently occurred in circumstances that when reviewed carefully suggest that far from being actual network or phone faults that these failures were in fact the product of compromised security and network hacking.

May be difficult for many people to believe, but I feel that the failures and security issues are so comprehensive now that I see others complaining etc., that it should be carefully considered if these issues are really faults/glitches/mistakes or are they "controlled follies" providing cover for extremely serious abuses being performed on the vodaphone network.

The TIO I fear will provide maximum leeway to the vendor and little to the consumer. The vendor will be allowed to drag the resolution out to the absolute limit of their legislated time-frames, and they will not be penalized for turning the process into a farce, or even for executing adverse action against a consumer by continuing to bill in defiance of ombudsman directives. Where there are clear breaches that effect obvious adverse action against the consumer, I have found that the TIO is quick to dismiss the vendors inexcusable conduct as "gross incompetence" (controlled folly cover) without penalizing the vendor.

You can expect a long process through TIO as the industry buddy-buddy relationship has the TIO billing the vendor for their time, and therefore in terms of cashflow there is a carrot on a stick for the TIO to allow compromised processes that drag out needlessly because it's all income to the TIO, making the ombudsman something of a joke after the number of times I heard excuses for the vendor from them. Self regulation is no regulation at all IMO

4023 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is at 27 Dec 2010 05:12:54 PM
This time last year I brought a vodafone from the outlet in Blacktown I advised them that I was a agency nurse and would be moving around Australia a lot and needed phone access, they assured me that this would not be a problem and I would get cover so I took out the minimum contract which was for 2 years. Eventually my job took me to a small town in north NSW where I found that I couldnt get cover so I rang vodafone from a landline and explained my predicament the person I spoke to was very helpful he advised that i wouldnt have to complete my contract and because I had been with them already for as long as I had I wouldnt have to send my phone back because of the nature of my contract. 4 months later I get a call from a collection agency saying that I owe vodafone in excess of $2000:00 dollars because I had not completed the original contract. I rang Vodafone I explained the original conversation to them. They are now saying that they want the phone back I have offered to pay for the phone but they will now accept this. And have said if they don't get the phone back I will have to come up with the full amount of $2000:00.

4021 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is vodafore sucks at 27 Dec 2010 05:12:31 PM
I have been with Vodafone for many years, first as a perpaid customer then on a contract. When I was on prepaid Vodafone was freat so after many years of good service I finaly trusted them enough to go in for a contract...well then it started. As soon as they knew I was locked in and they had my money for the next two years the customer service ended right there. I have called and complained brobably once a month since getting my contract in April 2009 and cant wait till April 2011 when I can call them anbd finaly tell them to jam it and not have to pay them any more money. Can't recieve mms or send despite the fact my phone has it set up, calls drop out, I get no service and my phone displays emergency only where vodafone usualy is on my screen, I was not told I would be charded my first two months at once in my first bill that arrived only 2 weeks after I joined (couldn't even wait till a month was up before they started asking for money) people can't call me despite the fact my phone is on ( they get told by recorded message that my number has been disconnected) and sms's arrive the next day. Also I have also had it happen that I have tried to call my contacts and it rings like I am calling them but their phone never rings and does not display a missed call so I dunno what going on there> I have realy had enough of talking to overseas people that I struggle to understand and having unreliable service. I am certainly not getting the service I was lead to believe that I would get.

4019 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is NOT HAPPY JAN at 27 Dec 2010 05:12:11 PM
I purchased an iphone deal for $69 per month with the specific need for coverage in Tasmania for when I travel home and I go there for business...I looked at their coverage on the net and instore to make sure all areas were covered..It seemed good at the time. Well in August of this year I had to go home to Tassie as my dad died....I spent most of the time using my brothers phone as I could not get coverage and to top it all off I got a bill for 3 times my normal cost.....and cant explain why. I have $650 worth of free calls and texts...there is no way I could possibly have used that plus another $289 worth ..when I could not get coverage for most of the time ???????
I have also waited on the phone for 20-30 mins to speak to someone...the other day I waited 20 min spoke to someone she was dealing with my issues ...the call cut out and I had to wait another 20 min to speak to a second person.....these are just a couple of the issues too. NOT HAPPY JAN!!!!!!

4016 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is Access, reception and coverage. at 27 Dec 2010 05:11:46 PM
I am with Revolution Telecom (Revtel) on the Vodacrapp network; and live in Mannum, with the Vodacrapp tower in clear line of site.
Service is probably available 50% of the time, with constant poor reception.
My complaints have not been addressed.
I am not on any contract and am on pre-paid; with over $100 in credit.
I have been that pissed off (over the past several years) in not being able to rely on their service; I purchased an amaysim card on the Optus network; with excellent coverage, reception and access to the network 99% of the time.
The Vodacrapp network in this area has not been expanded in this area (despite empty promises) to cater for coverage and extra demands on the service (with more users).
I am in the process of porting my number with amaysim, on the Optus network, with the loss of my $100 plus credit.
Yes; a Class Action against Vodaphone for their broken promises and piss poor service should "be a winner" for the "little person" against a "giant".
Congratulations for your stance in stating that "WE ALL HAVE HAD ENOUGH".

4015 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is cannot use their wireless broadband at 27 Dec 2010 05:11:19 PM
2 years ago I signed for wireless broadband with 6Gg output for $40/mo 2 yrs contract. Since I used it for clients, I got embarrassed all the time because I cannot do any work in front of them with Vodafone mobile broadband because I cannot get any reception in any area on the Gold Coast even in Brisbane city itself. I tried to call them by phone but so many hrs on the line and nobody answer the phone. So I give up all. The Vodafone broadband drops off and always no connections. I cannot return the USB Vodafone anymwore because the outlet I signed up already not there anymore so I was charged every month for $40 till 2 yrs have lapse only paying them and when 2 yrs contract ended I asked Vodafone that to please do not charged me anymore my contract was over and I dont want them it is too much to pay when their service is not working and most of the time I was charged over the limit that I wasnt able to get connected even to the place where I lived.
SO that is my story I paid for my contract for nothing for 2 long years.

4013 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is billing at 27 Dec 2010 05:10:53 PM
I only took out a $20 sim only account. My husband took one out on the same day at the same store with the same salesperson. Firstly we asked for our bills to be sent online. For some reason mine arrived in paper and only 2 weeks after I had joined so I figured it was a mistake and didnt pay it. My husband didnt receive one. 2 weeks later I had my phone barred for not paying the $20 bill. My husband still had not received a bill. I had to pay the bill and a reconnection fee. MY husband then got his bill online and was not charged for the time I had my service cancelled for. When we contacted them about it they said we were on different billing cycles yet he has signed up 10 minutes before me from the same store. I had to then go online and change my billing preference myself even though I had never requested a paper account and had paperwork showing this. We also had problems making and receiving calls from the kitchen of our house. We live in northern suburbs of Melbourne not a remote area. I lasted 6 months with them before pulling the pin.

Asked for a refund and they said I can get one, but calling up later another guy said I couldn't have one because I didnt have the slip, even though I got told I could have the details over the phone. I live in the suburb of Point Cook in Melbourne (25 mins from CBD on freeway. The Vodafone reception is shocking!! Voda's customer service call centre in Egypt is so difficult to deal with. When I politely called Vodafone's corporate headquarters in NSW I was treated like trash by the staff there! I was given a postal address to contact the 'customer correspondence team' and the response from this department was pathetic to say the least. Basically, they just send out standard letter and make the process of communicating with the company so difficult that most people just give up! I'm sure it's all designed to do exactly that!!!

4002 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Immoral at 27 Dec 2010 05:08:41 PM
Customer for 19 years.

Its been useless since mid 2080 when they went 3g in Wollongong.
Vodafail claim they could not stabilise the signal, countless complaints, phone call's, emails all ignored. Staff could not care less.
My call charges have gone through the roof because of the continued dropouts and poor reception.
Then they claim I agreed to a 2 yr contract when I requested 1yr and recieved phone purchase credit for 1yr.
Its immoral what going on and surely unlawful.
We are all keeping our side by paying our bills yet they do honour their side of the contract.
BRING ON THE CLASS ACTION!

My friend you are on the wrong the boat if you think you can blame Vodafone for poor battery life. Most probably you have an iphone 4 which has known reception problems, it has nothing to do with the network. Get a cover for you phone and this will alleviate the issues you refer to.

I have had so many issues with Vodafone; but the main two are - I signed up for one of the new beaut Netbooks for wireless internet on a laptop that is really portable. The laptop itself was great; the coverage and data speed were pathetic. Whenever I run Vodafone I had to talk to a person in Egypt who barely spoke english; and they would always tell me I am in a bad coverage area. Funny thing is I had taken it to so many places aside from my house 10kms from Brisbane CBD (been to Cairns, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane just to name a few). I guess Vodafone got sick of me ring up and the day I lost it and started yelling they put me straight through to disconnections. I got out of the contract after six months, was refunded part of my money for the months of poor service and had no early termination fee. I did have prepaid internet as well; and that was just as bad, but at least you can just stop using it. The lastest drama in the Vodafone problems was I had 3-4 days with none or sparatic coverage; occasionally I could made calls or send a text but that was pretty rare. I sent countless emails to Vodafone through the website because I couldn't ring from my mobile. The only response I got from Vodafone was detailed information on the GPRS/3G network areas (not really handy); they also advised me to check the website for outages, which I did and there were none in my area. At no point did a human from Vodafone ring me; which is deplorabe. At the time that all this was going on, ALL of the Vodafone (4 in total) sotres in my local area were closed for refurbishment so I couldn't go into a store; I did try and ring from a landline as well; but after 10 mins of waiting they hung up on me. I run a business using my mobile and over those 3-4 days I lost money because customers couldn't get through. I just really want to get out of my contract with no early exit fees. I'm currently waiting for Vodafone to make contact after lodging a complaint with the Telco Ombusman, but I'm not holding my breath

We moved in a new area in south morang a year ago at the time there was no broadband internet so we went for the best value for money usb internet vodafone. With vodafone usb we had truble with instolating the program to run it at first then when that was fixed with 3 pc's the usb stick still had truble conecting it would conect only when it wanted. Ok I called vodafone for help they looked through it and said they will call back but no one called back. While waiting for our call back we tried to use the usb and as I said it worked onely when it wanted. Calling back about 6 or 7 times and every time waiting for someone to put on hold about an hour to hour and a half if I got someone to talk to I would try to stop conection with the vodafone usb I just get the same thing we will call you soon to help you with the problem. I was paying $49 a month the last month I paid for We did not even get to use the internet now our bill is somthing in the $300 mark and not going to pay it because I have no internet with them and I am tyred of waiting to talk to someone about the problem.

I want to be on vodafone but I just hope I get better service. Its hard to complain since I want to get the plan anyway. They also overcharged my first month but I just didnt bother making a complaint, cause I'll be put on hold for another half an hour anyway!

Fortunately I am no longer with Vodafone but still keep getting my phone bill which is in credit. I switched from a plan to a prepaid and had a $30+ credit. I had enough of going some days with 12 hours plus of no coverage (even though they checked their computers and there was nothing wrong with my area) so I switched providers. I asked for a refund of my credit but was told as it was paid via BPay I needed to provide an original of my bank statement showing when it was paid. I told them to get lost, they aren't getting an original of my bank statement which shows my account details and all my transactions. Have been told what to do by the ombudsman but after previous attempts, honestly cant be bothered

No internet - Phone is generally ok, and I am in a 3G designated area, but get no coverage sometimes Edge then GPRS then 3G but painfully slow. Then every now and again 3G connects and I get great speed, then 5 minutes later its back to GPRS. Central Coast NSW Tuggerah Lakes area
27 Dec 2010 06:21:26 PM: I too live on the northern end of the Central Coast NSW and whilst the phone regularly drops out on calls, I find the modem much worse. The modem constantly drops out and then gives me a message 'No Device" or %u201CSearching for Device%u2019 when it is sitting in the same USB port. I have to physically move the modem to another port to get it to work again. It takes a least 5-10 mins to connect again! Very Frustrating!!! In fact I just heard it drop out now. Will copy this to Word and repost... The internet runs very slow most of the time too. With my phone, I too receive text%u2019s hours after they have been sent and I often don%u2019t get voicemails until the next day. My partner also has Vodaphone. We can be sitting in the same room. I have five bars and he has one or none. Both have IPhones. How can that be? I thought my problems were localised but given the amount of comments posted, obviously not. with all this going on someone should propose a mass ETC, early termination of contract at every vodaphone and associated 3 merged store.
Lets see if these small little shops can cope with 100 customers coming in, in UNISON at the SAME TIME all wanting to change providers and all wanting instant service and all wanting to get out of their contracts.
picture it. 100 people. all crammed into a little shop. 2 or 3 employees sweating. everyone asking to have their service contract terminated.
understandably ETCs may cost us money, but hey, the only way for this to stop is to STOP using VODAPHONE.
27 Dec 2010 05:14:17 PM: That'd be a silly thing to do. Shops can't help you with disconnections.

3980 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is All Telcos The Same at 27 Dec 2010 05:03:46 PM
Yes i am having network problems with vodafone but i have also been a customer of the companies you list as an alternative and they to have the same problems. After looking at this website i have 2 questions.
1) Is the owner connected to any rival telco network?
2) is the owner of this website earning affiliate commissions on clicks to the alternative companies this site recommends?
Reason why i ask is because Telstra and Optus and Virgin and all the others have exactly the same connection issues as vodafone, only difference is Telstra and Optus charge much higher fees.
And i am not a vodafone employee... Dont be fooled everyone they are all the same, we are now using more smartphones than ever before and all networks are suffering.
27 Dec 2010 05:05:41 PM: I am really sorry they are NOT all the same. I have a friend on Vodafone and it is always HIS call that drop out in the middle. No-one else who calls me has this problem.

Yes they all have issues, none is perfect but Vodafone hit rock bottom once they introduced their unlimited plans. Their network was swamped and they have not yet recovered
27 Dec 2010 05:06:10 PM: this is complete BULLSHIT Vodafone is the worst of them , I have tried Telstra service and Optus and both are MILES better than Vodafone!!!
27 Dec 2010 05:11:03 PM: This is like the fifth time you have posted this. Big deal if he's making a buck off this. WE DON'T CARE.

VODAFONE HAS BEEN RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS AND WE ARE PISSED.

CLASS ACTION HERE WE COME.
27 Dec 2010 05:13:52 PM: PS I have changed changed to Telstra and coverage and data is BRILLIANT. Like super awesome. I feel like I've entered the modern era. Your statement was misleading. I have not had one call drop or data issue since I joined Telstra.

Making statements like that is spurious activity. I would suggest that the moderator seek the IP address of the above post and send it to Telstra and Optus. Just for fun.
27 Dec 2010 05:20:08 PM: The only scientific, fair and factual way is to compare similar websites with as much energy put into them as this one and see if Vodafone really is the worst. So computer gurus what we need is a telstrafail and optusfail website and heavily promote it. Adam (bloke that started this site) was also let out of his contract graciously according to an article in the online-Age as soon as he asked so I wonder what his real problem with Vodafone is that he would continue this...

But however Why can't we get reception in all parts of Australia like the other Telco's no - instead where we go to carvan in a corner of NSW / VIC on the Murray of all places we have to have another Telco's prepaid to use and this diverting Vodafone phones to this prepaid is a rather large pain. My friend then tried to call me back and got a different person. This has happened to me on many occasions yet no one at Vodafone can ever offer any assistance. I was unable to make calls (including emergency calls)and could only receive some txts for over 24hrs. When I went in to the nearest voafone store they informed me there was an issue which was being resolved but they could not tell me what the issue was and when it would be resolved. Since I couldn't make or receive calls I had no way of getting updates. They also told me I may be able to get compensation however I had to call their customer service number. I tried this once my phone was working again however after being transferred from several departments and waiting on hold for and extended period of time I gave up. In the end I was tired of terrible reception, bad customer service, randomly not getting voice messages for days and very slow internet so I gave up on Vodafone.

Our small company used to have Telstra as our provider so I can fairly compare the reception and problems we have encountered since the switch to Vodaphone. We both had to go in and have their staff reset our iphones, we even had one replaced, hoping that would 'cure' our reception problem. It didnt. Finally, one of the staff, told us 'offline' that it wasnt the phones, it was the service. They had oversold it and were saturated.

We have had issues with our customers calling us and not getting through, having their voicemails take hours or even a day to register on the phone.

Absolutely everything I have read I can concur with. Is a shame. I have recently immigrated here from the States and this coverage would shame any legitimate cell phone company.

Once the contract is finished we will be switching providers. Hopefully a little bit more competition will be in the market by then and we wont have to deal with this nonsense.

After holding a second time for 14minutes, vodafone service cut out again. I gave up. They suck. Everyone I know in Cronulla cant get calls in or out a majority of the time. DO NOT PAY YOUR BILLS!!! They are a scam!

3958 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Calls dropping out at 27 Dec 2010 05:00:19 PM
I am a very disgruntled Vodafone user. Originally from Melbourne & moved to the Gold Coast 3 months ago. My calls are constantly dropping out & then taking several attempts to reconnect to the dialled number. This is just not good enough as I'm sometimes making up to 7-8 calls to the same number in a matter of minutes! Think about it....F off Vodafone....i've had enough!!!!
27 Dec 2010 05:04:40 PM: Thats ok im a vodafone stock holder more money for me

3957 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Radically poor service and reception at 27 Dec 2010 05:00:18 PM

3955 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Shocker... at 27 Dec 2010 04:59:59 PM
I have been with their prepaid service and didn't have many problems with them before. However later on, every time I go a few km out of the city, my phone becomes useless - due to NO reception. Good luck to those who get in trouble, have an accident, need assistance, get sick - what a crap service! I'd rather leave my phone at home - what's the point of carrying something you cannot use anyway?!?!? Their prices seem reasonable when compared to other providers, but seriously - I'm paying to be connected to the world!!! I'm sick of calling Lara, and even Lara calling me!!!! and not getting anything resolved. I have bought myself an optus sim today, and just happened to read the SMH article on Vodafone. I think Vodafone either needs to get its act together or disappear alltogether.

3954 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Extremely poor at 27 Dec 2010 04:59:40 PM
For the past six months I've been getting extremely bad signals and dropouts. Freinds have reported receiving my texts up to 24hrs late!! I'm on the $49 cap and it's eeven worse when making vodafone to vodafone calls, keep dropping out & you have to keep reconnecting so that's how you use up your cap. Before dialling mobile shows full bars & soon as you press the send button you lose half the strength, UNBELIEVABLE!!! When I get calls sometimes I can hear the caller but they can't hear me, WHAT THE HELL VODAFONE??? Bunch of CROOKS & MONGRELS. I'm self employed and in the last 2 months I've lost 3 jobs because calls didn't come through. Thanks Vodafone for your PATHETIC SERVICE!!!

On my old 3 service I got coverage at the Upper Yarra Dam, since Vodafone took over I don't.
I recently bought a Samsung "Jet" with a 2 gig data plan. I am not able to open pictures in Emails but can open pictures in SMS. I 4 months I haven't used any of my data plan.
I can't find a use for it on this phone. I have complained, but received no satisfaction. I am very disappointed to say the least

3952 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is "network rejected" at 27 Dec 2010 04:59:29 PM
I am originally from Adelaide, where I could not get reception in my bedroom. I have since moved to Melbourne (I am 15 minutes from the CBD) and also cannot get reception in my flat. Whenever a friend and I call each other - she is also on vodafone - we cannot talk for more than 10 minutes before our call drops out and we receive "network rejected" errors. And don't get me started on the coverage when driving around Oz... How does one go about breaking a contract with no termination fees?

3951 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Majorly at 27 Dec 2010 04:59:13 PM
Recently something happened with the vofafone network. I was switching between 3 local towers and continually getting disconnected in calls. This had never happened before and all from the same place i was standing in my house. I sent complaint to vodafone and it was never addressed. I tried with a different phone and same thing!!!!!!

So i tried other sims from other phone companies and not a problem.......

3948 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Dropped calls, no data at 27 Dec 2010 04:58:57 PM
Quite a few months back I called vodafone to to them about my lack of reception and ability to use my data allowance. I was told to simply reset the Internet on my phone and it would fit it. Now it all makes sense. At first I honestly thought it was only my phone. In places where I was once able to use my Internet and send messages, I now cannot. I have to walk outside into my street in order to make phone calls and use my Internet. In times when I need to use important sites such as my Internet banking, again, I now cannot. The problem has only recently gotten worse as not even will my data work. This has angered me deeply as I pay top dollar for my plan and what infuriates me the most is the fact that my bills have heavily increased due to having to communicate via phone all the time rather than via the Internet. My phone bills are double what they should be and I am ready to cut off my plan. Getting through to speaking to an actual person at vodafone is a long and frustrating process, that is of course, when my phone does not drop out. Compensation should be given for such appalling service by this comapany. If my phone actually allows me to post this message, I will be utterly shocked.

3947 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Poor reception at 27 Dec 2010 04:58:22 PM
There is no reception between Malvern and South Yarra most of the time. There are frequent drops. Also, I have once lost a job oppurtunity as an Important Voicemail was not delivered for 2-3 days. I wonder how Vodafone is going to address this !!
